  1. Nice lookin truck ya got there....and yes, Diesel fuel is ridiculous right now
  2. It will cause your engine/banshee to run crappier. Maybe this is the reason all along why your engine hasn't been running as good as it should (and probably myself or someone else mentioned in your previous topics), always check for the choke tube/hose after working on your carbs  I am not sure about the inner diameter of the hose nor the length. I will be out in my shop tomorrow so I will get some measurements for you.
  3. Here is a quick picture I grabbed of ebay or Kijiji. You can see the black rubber hose attached to the right carb (he has it off the left carb for when he took the carbs off) That hose will connect at the same spot on the left carb, but just obviously on the opposite side.
  4. Are you talking about the Choke assembly on the left carb, or the rubber hose that connects between the two carbs? If you are talking about the assembly on the left carb then yes there are a few parts in there. And tell him the TORS are no good. They do not work half the time for what they are actually suppose to do. They will give you electrical and engine running problems. Just leave them off....and leave the TORS Eliminator Kit on.
  5. Did he have just the Knarly's like Loco is running in his sig? Or were they the soft compound ones or the other version? I Have ran 6 ply's before and never had a puncture of any kind. Maybe he got a bad set of tires :ermm:
  6. I was hoping you would pitch in on the Knarly's Loco. You have had real good luck running them on hard packed haven't you? I'm still deciding whether I should cut them or leave them for now. Did you notice much once you cut yours Loco? Hmm, I want to try something different then the general pattern of razr's, holeshots, tires like that. I have seen the Knarly's and the lugs look like a good 17/32 or at least more. RM is pretty cheap, figure like like $55 for each tire, however shipping would def be $$$$. The shop I'm getting my Knarly's for are charging me like $68 each, and they are a whole 10mins away. Though those tires are $55, shipping would def take it over what I'm paying
  7. Sorry, but that mechanic doesn't know much about Banshee's.... Stock carbs on a banshee only have one choke tab to pull, which is located on the left carb. On the inside of the left carb, behind that tab there will (or should be) a rubber hose running to the right hand carb. So when you pull the choke out on the left carb, and being as it is a sealed tube behind that choke, the vacuum will also run the right hand choke. And as for the TORS Removal kit being crappy, tell him the TORS system/design is a piece of crap and does not to be on a Banshee. There is not much change on the carbs when you switch over to a TORS Removal kit. New carb caps and idle screws that run into the side that hold the slides up to where you want your idle set at. Now maybe your carbs are not in sync, reason for the engine not to be running right, jetting could be an affect, etc. Tell this mechanic that he doesn't know shit about the carbs and TORS system on a Banshee engine. I wouldn't be letting him near your engine, he is going to be charging you for all this crap that you don't need....
  8. Yea I tried getting the Duro Hook Ups, but he didn't have them in any of his books. So I just opted for the Kenda Knarly's. Will be picking them up tomorrow and get them mounted so Hopefully I'll have pics of them up soon. Hopefully they wear good and grip good
  9. I will have to agree with you MJ, There are a lot of guys on here that know their stuff about Banshee's, and well other quads too. I joined, well I can't remember how long ago I joined, but I have learned everything about Banshee's off of this site and from the fellow HQ'ers. Loco, as well as most of the people on here are good guys. I will also agree with RIPPEN, if you have been here for so long, you would have noticed the avatars and signatures starting to show more "above PG rated" themes and pictures. I can't say much about children obviously, being as I am only a 19 year old male. But I dunno, I'm just saying this site is very informative and the people on here are a good bunch of people. But I have to say, sending Loco a message titled "ugly girl", that is just asking to start something. That would be like someone sending your husband or boyfriend (not sure which one, sorry if im wrong) a message about you, titled as something hurtful. You and your husband/boyfriend would get up-set reading that, and well would probably want to vent a little. If you wanted to come across to Loco a little easier you shouldn't have called a girl you don't even know..a "ugly girl" and whatever else you said in the message...slut, etc. Dinner
  10. This whole No boobs in the avatar/signature thing is getting kinda old. Loco, you have a very good looking girl, both shou;d be proud of that and not afraid to show it. Hell major thing in North America is women and their low self-esteem. Soo can I change my avatar to show my boobs? I have a tattoo on one of them!!!!
  11. Well guys, went to my local shop today and priced out a whole bunch of different tires. Fricken wanted $152 EACH for the irazr's...so i'm kinda saying screw that. Though I would like to have a set to run and see how they do, like they look like they will run pretty sweet on hard packed dirt...I'm going with the Kenda Knarly's. They retail for $86 CDN and he's giving me a discount on them so I'm looking at $70 each for Knarly's. I know Knarly's do fairly well on hard packed, especially if you shave/cut every other row. So we'll try these babies out and see how they do. Thanks for the replies though guys, I would have bought them if they weren't so damn expensive :ermm:
  12. I believe you are confused on the extended vs shortened swinger terms. If your Banshee does actually have a +6 swinger, you shouldn't be having the front end coming up very often, or hardly at all (unless you have some mean engine work done, which by the way...what are your engine mods??) If you lengthen a swing arm, that puts mass away from the axle, allowing the front end of the quad to stay on the ground. If you shorten your swing arm, this will put more of that mass on the axle since the axle is being brought underneath you, allowing the front end to pop up like nothing. However you also have to determine what type of terrain you are mostly riding, what sort of hills, and well your engine mods. If you run a shortened swing arm, you will notice a lot of traction being as most of the mass is sitting on the axle. When you start running + length swing arms, you are moving the majority of the mass away from the axle, which will cause less traction.
  13. You have a very good lookin' shee! Your thread about it's new look is what got me thinking of trying either the Irazr's or the Hook Ups...they look like they bite good
  14. From looking at the intakes it looks like a small clean up port to me. The person probably just smoothed out the intake track and took the burrs of the transfers, and maybe polished the exhaust. Here are a couple pics of my clean up I did 2 winters ago to give you a brief idea.... EDIT: Actually it doesn't look like much(by looking at the intake ports), looks like the like sanded the bridge and the top of the ports a bit, and polished the entire intake. Here is a pic of stock intake:
  15. And chances are, your slides will stick and your engine will run away from you, cause the TORS do nothing except screw up :ermm:
  16. Do you have any pictures of them mounted on your Rappy?
  17. Hey guys, Being as I am starting to put together my Banshee for this season, I need to figure out what sort of tire I want to run for the rears. To me, it seems like the Irazr's or the Hook Ups (which are pretty much the same thing) would be a fairly good tread for hook up. I will mostly be running hard packed dirt, gravel roads (hard), and gravel/sand pits. Soo if anything has any experience with either of those tires, do you like them, good traction, etc? I think they would hook like cut Knarly's?? Thanks, Dinner
  18. Just how extensive is this porting as well as these handmade pipes? with a 4mil stroker, bored, reeds, 28's and possibly an air box modification...you should be seeing well over 45HP. Do you know what type of Dyno they are using?
  19. With stock carbs, and a dune port you should be running a larger main than a 310. Do you have air box modifications, reeds, anything else. Or is it just dune port and 19cc Domes?
  20. Sounds like good false advertisement to me...poor kids read that and instantly they have to have a trinity motor... :ermm: Now that I read it over again, I think I'm going to order from Trinity right now, see ya on the drag strip!
  21. Hmm, could even be moisture in your carbs that are causing the slides to stick. I would take the carbs apart and give them a good cleaning first.
  22. You are probably still too rich on your jetting in your banshee.
  23. Hmm I'm not sure if I remember right, but I believe Locogato took his wiring harness and brought it down to just a few wires within a couple pieces. If it wasn't him maybe someone else will remember. It was a while ago and I believe he (or they) had pictures of it as well.
  24. Dinner

    + Size A-arms

Hey Guys, Been throwing around the idea of what to do about suspension on my new frame and well I'm looking for some +2, +1 a-arms, or something along the same lines. And for a reasonable price too if possible  So let me know if you have something you want to get rid of! Thanks Dinner
