  1. Yea they would have to have more than a programmer. There isn't a programmer alone that could add 350hp, might need some extra performance mods to help that fuel along  I'm not sure what those sequential turbos are capable of, but I would think they would have to upgrade those as well. EGT's would get pretty toasty with 700HP. From what I remember those turbo's on the 6.4 aren't very big, then again I haven't seen their compressor map either :geek: Does anyone know the sizing on those Turbos?
  2. There are a couple companies out there that I know of making DPF Delete kits for Dodge and Fords, not too sure on the Duramax though. And if they have that 6.4 tuned properly, and depending on what programmers, boxes, modules, chips, injectors, turbo(s), blah blah blah then yes they could probably have it up to 700HP. However, if they are claiming by just removing the DPF, they are getting 700HP, they are full of shit
  3. Looks like you are in the right area. I would start with a 310 and go from there probably.
  4. Still looks good! And that is what I use as well CS3 Extended
  5. It's probably going to be hard to get the info you want. There are many different type of port jobs out there, so it will probably be a pain to get dimensions for a certain type of port. However, if you're looking at just cleaning up your cylinders, which basically consists of cleaning the casting flaws, smoothing out the intake bridge, transfers and exhaust port then that itself isn't too hard. However I think once you start getting into the actual dimensions of the intake ports, transfer ports, transfer angles, and the exhaust ports it might be difficult to do yourself. Unless you have the proper tools, especially to reach into the transfer ports just be careful you don't mess up the cylinders and make them run worse! This is a picture of the cleanup port I did myself with hand files (just smoothed out the transfers and exhaust basically, as well as the intake) And this is a picture of my Aggressive Dune/Play Porting, sorry don't have any measurements though
  6. Pilot is too rich in my opinion. Could probably go to a 25 or 27.5.
  7. Thanks guys
  8. :ermm:
  9. Some people use Paint, but I think a lot of people try to use Photoshop for their sigs :geek:
  10. They are nice engines for sure! Coworker of mine just bought an 08 Quad Cab, Long Box with the 6.7 with a 6 speed behind it. I havn't gotten a chance to look at it too much but man that thing is quiet! But, that is what majority of people want, quiet diesels. So might as well go to a Common Rail set up and have the duration that the injector sprays, go for longer. There are a few companies out there right now that have chips, exhaust and possible a couple other things for the new 6.7's. As of right now it is probably a little tricky to work your way around the Emissions stuff, but all in time maybe. I also like the VG Turbo they threw on the 6.7 :geek:
  11. Thanks! I'm a big fan of Cummins, and I'm pretty good with the 24 Valve VP44 Engines. I too like the sound of an Inline Diesel more than a V-Config Diesel engine. Sure the V-config engines like the Duramax and the Powerstroke are generally faster at the drag, but I'll stick to my low end Torque and easy balanced engine  And of course the internals in the Cummins are quite a bit larger than that of the PS or Duramax. V-Config Diesels sound too gas engine like for me. If it wasn't for the Turbo whistle, people would think it was a Gasser in the distance (I'm talking straight exhaust). And yea Dodge is bringing out a Half Ton truck with the new option of a V-6 or a V-8 Cummins. This would be great for the people that tow a bit, but also like the nice smooth ride of a 1/2 ton.
  12. The 7.3's are still one of the best engines Ford ever used in their SD's, so enjoy adding mods  I'm going to also be using this truck as my Daily Driver so I can't go too overboard. For starters I'll build up to about 400-450HP and go from there :geek:
  13. I won't be running any drugs, just fuel  Right now I have BHAF, Boost Elbow, XZT+, 3" DP to 5" straight exhaust, Goerend High Pressure Valve Body and that is about it for performance mods. I'm doing some body work right now, and then getting some work done on the front end. After that I'm going to start back into performance upgrades....tranny rebuilt to hold the HP, new exhaust manifold and some style of turbo (still got to see what would suit me best), another or more programmers that I am able to stack, the list goes on!
  14. Right on! I'm hoping to get my trucks close to the 14's to start with. Going to take a bit of time and money, but we'll get er' there hopefully.
  15. Depends what style of riding you are looking at. Do you want the pipe to come on low, top, mid?
  16. Think of it like porting a set of cylinders. You take away some material so that the air-fuel mixture will flow better through the reed pedals.
  17. Those are some pretty good times for a truck  What are the specs on the truck, gear ratio, 2 or 4wd, engine, truck weight, tranny?
  18. Friend of mine has had really good luck with Razr's. Good hook up and the wear on them is pretty good as well. I also like my Kenda Knarly's, good hook up, especially on nice soft/moist dirt, and hard packed as well usually. So far they have been wearing good too. I would recommend 20's for the tire size, unless you do a lot of trail riding where the added height is needed. 22's get a little heavy, and balloon a lot at high speeds.
  19. I don't think I'm going to be able to make it The 26th is a big Truck Show that I got to attend, so no dunes for me yet  I sure as hell better be able to get there at least once this season, so hopefully. Hope you guys have funnnn!!
  20. Hmm I forget which Main I have in there right now to be honest, lol. I'm going to be changing my pilot and needle clip position this weekend so I will let you know what Mains are in there. But as of right now I am running 50 pilots and 2nd clip on the needle. I'm changing to 48 pilots and putting the needle clip back on the 3rd setting and going from there. I'm pretty sure my mains are either 150 or 152's...
  21. Well I'm sitting here reading up on some of my other forums and was curious if any of you guys have run your daily driver pick-up down the 1/4 mile? I'm planning on building my current daily driver up so that it will still be my daily driver, and I can take it to the drags on certain nights. You can also post pictures/info about the truck that you ran
  22. Jump up to a 48 Pilot and see how shee runs. And as far as the needle goes, try an CEL needle and see how it runs with that.
  23. That's not totally true.. Those 35mm carbs are too much for a stock stroke, non ported engine. They are flowing so much air/fuel into the engine that the engine isn't getting a good complete combustion. (It's like having say a stock 350, and running a 650 Carb...too much carb, causing the car to bog really bad down low and sputter throughout the RPM). Might be able to set up the pilot jet, but once you start getting towards jetting the needle and main. That is a lot of fuel/air for such a close to stock engine. I would drop down to stock 26's or get some 28's, jet it correctly and then try again, you will be surprised at the difference. Or get a good port job on your cylinders where as the 35's will feed the engine fine. You can have pipes, filter, reeds, porting, whatever. But if your bike isn't set up/jetted correctly...forget about beating 4 strokes.
  24. Well for one that is too much carb for a non ported engine :ermm: Also depends on gearing, tire size, rider mass, rider experience, etc.
  25. Yuppers, most times my friend rolls his 3 wheeler is when he is in 1st or second gear....I know it's a 3 wheeler, but still. You can get hurt pretty easily no matter what speed.
