Just so happens I have these pics from when I mounted mine. I purchased mine from a good fella on here, so I bought them used. They are Alba Pro Elite's I believe and I really like them. Make it nice for if you are cruising along cause you can stretch your legs out and what not

Holy, haven't seen you on here for a long time! What have you been doing all these months? You may not remember me since I was a noob not too long ago
-
You are just jealous you don't live up here. Like who wouldn't want this shitty ass winter weather that is gay and keeps on snowing/raining and then freezing and agh this is fricken horrible, lol. I mean Ontario is awesome, you should come live here And by the way, do you know of anywhere that sells good/cheap +2, +1 a arms that you were talking about earlier to run with my YFZ shocks?
-
lol I've noticed you like making fun of us Canadians  But I enjoy reading most of your jokes, their usually pretty good  Hmm, I haven't had the opportunity to check the difference between 04 and 05 YFZ shocks. And as you said, they 04 shocks only have 14 coils...I just looked at a pic of my friends 04. But damn, if the 05 shocks are softer than the 04 shocks, then holy shit. Cause I think my friends shocks that were re-valved or whatever and all that jazz are fricken so soft.
-
Hmm I guess I've always tried doing it online, owell. I will search around and see what I can find. Motor is still in Michigan and I don't even have my frame yet so I got some time to look

Not necessarily true...you can get a few pumps out of a gun, even though there is nothing going into the nipple. Feels like its going places, but it's just filling the greaser hose. So here is my question..after your two pumps and then it gets stiff. When you take the fitting off the grease nipple does grease come out of the grease gun hose, or does some start coming out of the little ball that is in the grease nipple?

I too am running 15W40 right now...might switch over to something else, but I dunno yet (mostly just for a change )

Where would be a good place to purchase these A arms for somewhat cheap (Rocky mountain doesnt ship to Canada if you are thinking that, lol) Thanks guys!!

Yea, tools are always extremely nice to have, whether you use it once in a year or 24/7.. I use tools every day, that's my job. Some weeks I will go without using "that" certain tool all week, next day you could use it a few times. So having a compression tester sitting around and even a leak down tester are always good. You'll probably use them more than you think once you have them  Yea torque wrenches sure are nice. Could easily get away with a little like 5-100ftlbs torque wrench. lol yea I'm starting to get my calibrated elbow. When you torque the nut(s) on heavy trucks that hold the hub bearings into place, you torque it to 200ftlbs to set the seal. So on a 24" johnson bar, I can regulate how much that is  Was torquing some Ubolts last night to 600ft lbs :ermm:

Oh ok, I thought I had read about that before, just wasn't 100% sure on the concept. Now I'm using my bike mostly for hills, gravel pits and open areas like fields, roads, etc. I don't do much trail riding anymore and won't really be doing any jumping either. Soo I'm guessing that my balljoints should(key word) be able to handle the YFZ shocks? Yea I don't think I will have any problems installing the shocks if I get them down the road. It's pretty simple to grind away some metal and get them mounted up, hopefully :ermm:

Here is my black and silver bike last year...

Banshe-eman, he already has some porting done. He doesn't know what type or by who though. He just knows that "Krank It" is carved into the jugs. Do you know what compression you are running with 18 domes and the port work?
-
Agreed, after running my motor for a season, I checked my compression. It was around 120 and I am at 900-1000ft above sea level. Oh and 70's seems pretty low to me, should be able to take the kicker in your hands and snap it down and have the engine turn over a few times with that compression... As said above make sure your gauge is actually reading correctly, make sure your fittings are all secure and kick with WOT throttle until the needle stops moving
-
How many times are you going to ask Kaos? Running Pods with pipes is good. A lot better flow than the stock filter and box/snorkle. As others have said already, just make sure your jetting is good and keep away from too much water
-
I'm not very engine smart, can i get some help?
Dinner replied to Bio_HaZerd's topic in General Banshee Discussion
"WOT" is short form for "Wide Open Throttle"... It shouldn't harm your engine if you are running 1/2-3/4 throttle constantly. If you want to play it safe, go up to 3/4, let off/back down to 1/4, then back up to 3/4, then back down, etc, etc. Jetting Link ^^ That is a link to the Jetting article at the top of the page of the "Jetting" sub topic. You could also read through the others if you would like as well... -
What do you mean by that Fire? If you wouldn't mind explaining it to me

Usually spark plugs threading themselves out are a sign of Detonation

Hey Guys, A friend of mine just bought a 04 YFZ450 and is planning on upgrading his suspension in the near future. Now the front shocks on the 450 were just recently rebuilt, serviced and all that jazz..and I must say, they are nice! I took the front of the YFZ and pushed down on it and mmm, they are so soft and well better than my stock Banshee shocks(stiff as fook). I'm thinking of buying those shocks off of him when he gets his elkas or whatever he is getting. So basically I'm just wondering, for those of you that have swapped just the shocks, how do you like them over the stock Banshee front shocks? Like just front pushing and jumping on the YFZ, they seem like they would be sooo much better than my stockers...but then again it might not be once I actually get them on my shee, I dunno. Any help is appreciated! Dinner

how much does i cost to bring a bike into canada
Dinner replied to shee rips's topic in General Banshee Discussion
That can be done yes :geek: And as far as registering it up here...I'm only guessing, but if you buy it from so and so in the states, with all the paper...bring it back to Canada with all the papers...you should be able to change it over to your name. Or hell change it to your name in the states with the guy you bought it from maybe, I dunno. -
I'm guessing since your Banshee is an 03...one wire will be for marker light, while the other wire will be for brake light?
-
That is true, if they didn't have the Banshee to add to the stories. I suppose it would be a different quad that they would always be kicking its ass
-
Well the stock rear axle is 36 1/2" in length, but then you would have to add the hub-outside of tire dimension as well. If someone else hasn't posted later on, I will try to get out and measure those specs for you when I'm home from work.

I too like both for different reasons, however I really don't see too many 2 stroke guys going on and on, especially in someones face that there 4 stroke sucks. Sure poking fun here and there is no big deal, but if they just keep dragging it on and are serious...those people deserve to be put in their place. And I think the reason the 4 stroke guys are getting more and more cocky is because, well everything is turning to 4 strokes. Sleds, quads, bikes, whatever. And I think a lot of them look at it like we are always on the MX track, things like that. Like yea, these 4 strokes are changing every year, new technology, all of that jazz. Cause clearly our 20 year old technology is crappy and shitty to them. But everything is mx these days...if you don't ride mx, then you ain't shit (this is not my opinion...I think this is the way they look at it). Like yes when 4 stroke guys come up to me and say oh i'll beat you in a race. I ask what kind of race..and they say any race. So I offer a drag race (it's a banshee, and a straight line..what more is there to put together, lol) And so they agree they will win ( I had a friend of mine on his 450ER offer to take the gravel shoulder of the highway and I can have the pavement..because he was so sure he was going to win). He started going on about how he usually gets the holeshot and all of that jazz. So we race, after the 4th race he said "I think im going to give up now" I was not an ass about it, I just nodded and we continued on riding around the area. I will tell them they will beat me on mx, obviously..thats not what my bike is set up for. Sorry for the little venting :ermm:
-
lol Now their going to block you again...and you'll have to find another hole!
-
 I wonder who won those races And I would have to agree with tnr and his statement. Some of my friends are riding 2 strokes and 4 and so it is easy to get along with them because they understand both concepts. However a few of my other friends only ride 4 stroke, and that is the only thing that deserves to be around on this earth. I too can walk into a shop, or riding area, etc and if there is another 2 stroke "member" there, I can have a grand ol' chat with them, shoot the shit for awhile. I have yet to talk to any other 4 stroke rider other than my friends..they just look at my bike and that is about it. Like sure 4 stroke guys probably are nice to other 4 stroke guys...but I DO NOT go around bad talking 4 strokes, or any 4 stroke I see. I like both engines and the quads that surround the engine, but if you start being an asshole to me, I will be an asshole back......
