  1. hey guys im after a stock set of cylinders condition not too important as long as its not on its last bore... trail ported ok but no drag ported stuff thanks
  2. hey got a good set of gears from an rz350 which will drop straight into banshee some pple use them as an up grade taller gear ratio if any one is interested $80 willing to post im i australia
  3. yeah as some one said b4 its not really the pipes, its the engine timing the crank is 98deg so there is an overlap in pulse so it cant really ever be as good as a twin, the trick to do would be to try it with a 90deg crank...which you can buy they are a beautifully balanced thing, then you would see performance the same as the twin set ups http://www.twostrokeshop.com/RZRD350_Banshee_TSS_Crankshafts.htm#9058SKF
  4. thanks guys for all your input but i am still alil confused..firstly ill tell u what i need... my engine is in a road bike not a quad..i want torque and usable power not light switch top end... i had a stock cylinders with 4mm crank awsome power and torque better then any ypvs top end i had by far, but had cruising issues due to the type of porting it had when i got the top end. so i wanted to change the top end and i thought while im at it a few more ccs couldnt hurt. ie 68mm Now i had heard of athena b4 they make lotsa of top ends for other bikes 2 strokes and 4 with nothing but good reviews, I know one guy who got a tzr300 top end up grade from 250 with an increase of 45hp to 70hpr i would say thats pretty good. but no reviews on the banshee. i cant believe that a company of this reputation would make a shit product..ok it may not be as good as others but still have to better then stock...but then again its soo cheap head barrels pistons and gaskets for $780 a lil too cheap..and there is no info and just a pic of a box..surely there must be some one who has actually used the athena cylinders to give a good review...ps im also in australia so makes it a lil/lot harder to find first hand info on aftermarket stuff...thanks again guys
  5. yeah vito stuff looks good i have a cool head can i run it on those barrels and change the domes?
  6. i saw these are they any good..im not wanting a full drag set up, i know athena make good stuff for other road bikes..but never seen them for banshees..i think its odd that i can only find pics of the box..lol http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ATHENA-BIG-BORE-CYLINDER-KIT-392cc-BANSHEE-YFZ350_W0QQitemZ360188038262QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_ATV_Parts_Accessories?hash=item53dce14c76&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245
  7. sea level, 22 pilot, clip second from the top 270 mains..i havnt really got around to jetting the main jet as the bike is being run in and is a lil rich bottom and mid is good and crisp plug colour good too..but just that odd resinence
  8. i just put myb engine together..set up is.. 4mm crank cool head 22mm domes v force 3s timming plate at plus 4deg reed spacer blocks 34mm mikuni flat slide carbs..btw this engine is in a road bike prob is that at about 4thou rpm the bike seems to pulsate.. almost turbulant like, its quite odd i never experienced it b4 if i rev straight past it its fine but 4tho is about crusing speed so its a real pain.. it doesnt miss fire or seem to be starving it just feels like it things i have tried removed the spacer blocks no different raised the clip which richened it up..it was better but still not all that good at the bike was too rich and fluffy...could it be the timming i think i will try stock timming tomorrow..anyhelp at all would br great thanks
  9. im in australia so a call might be out of the question..lol..does he have a web site or email thanks
  10. it also runs a advance timming plate +4deg and i will be buying vforce3 reeds if they are of any consequence thanks
  11. im going to buy a noss head but not sure what domes to run..my engine has a mild port and a 4mm stroke crank currently running a stroker spacer plate, im at sea level and run regular unleaded pump fuel 28mm flat slide carbs premix 32-1 i have no experience with domes all help welcom thanks
  12. well in my ever lasting search for 69.50 cast pistons i see that the tri-z trike runs them does any one know how compatible they are ..ie deck hight to gudgen position thanks
  13. hey guys ive been trying to find out as much as i can about a 2into one set up...as i am considering a similar thing for a custom twin cylinder 2 stroke road bike, from what i have always understood is that it will make less peek hpr but better or should i say stronger bottom to mid...if anyone has one and would be keen to do some measurements ie tunned length and defuser and chamber size would be great help thanks and also how they actually perform,
  14. yeah im told that if anything a forged piston may need more tollerances then cast so a hone will sort that out,,as for trinity..i have enquired and they dont seem to have any either,,besides that every one i know that has dealt with those guys has had nothing but trouble with them, they either send the wrong parts or leave parts out all together. then are un contactable and dont reply emails..i have a good mate who ordered alot of kits and was a trinity suppler here in oz and is still chasing parts i will never trust my money to pple like that over seas..
  15. hey thanks guys i have spoken to james b4 he said he doesnt carry anything to suit ..and as for those on ebay im pretty sure they are forged..and if not i only need one..and it would be totally different to the ones in mine now..so if i had to buy ywo i would just buy wsn forged ones as they are only $180 a pair..which is what i think i will do and hone to match thanks.. also i bought this set up off a guy on here leatherface..ive tried contacting him about where he got the pistons but i have heard no reply...
