  1. Im a mechanic the mines. Weld almost everyday, went to school for welding, have 5 different certs, ill figure it out
  2. Keep in mind the x has mayb 3 tanks of gas ran threw it, so its like brand new. I tried to sell it with no luck, so might as well tear it up!!
  3. Well I have the 450x now. Hardly ride it and wanna spice it up a bit. Ha, I had a banshee before an loved the power bud hated the handling. Figured this would be best of both worlds. If I do it its not gonna be some hack job, hopefully look factory.
  4. Any one try putting a banshee motor in a newer yfz?? With the aluminum frame? I just might do this.

  6. I have a 2001 banshee I would like to sell. This thing has alot of chrome an alluminum dress up parts. I also have a 2-1 intake and many jets to go with it.   7. I understand the differance between a shorter or a longer swingarm. I have no problem with the front end coming up. I just need traction. I will prob never be at the dunes. All I ride is trails an hillclimbs in Pa. Not really alot of jumps or mx. I have paul turner mids, 35mm carbs, trinity cool head, v-force, k@n pods, weiscos, dyna tech ignition, thats the basics, no port work or anything. I also have plus 2 plus 1 a-arms. So thats adding another inch out front. I'm really just wonderig if I should shorten it to stock or go -2?? Later, Ryan H.
  8. Hey guys, I got a 01 banshee that came with a 6 plus swingarm. I just got it rebuilt an took it riding last weekend. I cant climb ANYTHING!! I tried stuff in differant gears an had more luck in 3rd but was going way to fast. The swingarm I was told was Houser?? What is the stock length from the center of the pivot pin to the center of the carrier? I just want to measure mine to see if it is 6 plus or not. I plan on cutting down the one that I have, any advice or tips I should know? I work as a welder for a living in a fab shop so thats the easy part just need some demensions. Also should I cut it down to stock length or a -2? I climb pretty steep stuff an dont want the front end to be up all the time but I also was good traction. Thanks alot, Later Ryan H.
  9. Ok, I have a 2001 banshee, when I got it it had a set of cub cylinders on it. After it blew up from a stripped water pump gear, I rebuilt it with a set of stock cylinders an weisco pistons. Since the rebuild I have rode it about 2 times. And this thing is insanly bad on gas!! I'm positive that its not leaking either. Here are the specs: Weisco pro lites 35mm keihin carbs: 160 main, 55 piolit paul turner mids k@n pod filters trinity cool head: 19mm domes v-force reed valves Also has DFS ignition box, where you can change the maping curve This things has a 5.5 gallon gas tank, an it sucks it right up. It may last about a hour an a half at the most. What could cause it to suck the gas down so fast? I havnt messed with the jetting since changing from the cubs to stock cylinders. Could it be jetted to rich?? I mean the thing runs awsome!!! Thanks for the imput.

  11. Already sold em sorry bud. Thanks for the link!!! At what PSI do you need to run race gas?? Also theses are stock cylinders with no port work. What do you guys with stock ports set your timing plate at? I think mines set up at +5 degrees? Thanks for the help guys
  12. I have a 01 banshee that came with a 68mm cub cylinder. I blew it up cause the water pump gear stripped where the roll pin holds the gear. Anyhow I decided to go with stock cylinders that have a 65mm .40 over bore. The cool head that came with it is a trinity with 19cc domes. That says 69mm, then 19cc and 9 deg under that. I also have a adjustable timing plate. What compression will I have with the stock cylinders an 19cc domes. also what should I set the timing at? Will i have to run race gas with the 19cc domes?   13. Woking on the pics guys, Also how do I measure the crank or rods to see if its a stroker crank? Do I have to remove the crank? Later
