  1. It's because the Boost Bottle gave you the Force....the force is strong in this one... As said, it doesn't do a thing for jetting, it's about two carbs feeding two cylinders the same amount of fuel/air at the same time.
  2. Saying you can sync your carbs perfectly without this tool is like saying you can torque your cylinder head down by feel without a torque wrench... I would consider myself pretty good with carbs, setting them up, etc. I have sat there for 1/2 hour eyeballing carbs idle, movement, etc. This takes all the guess work out of it...period. And all I do is idle, rev it a few times and then go WOT for a few seconds...and I still use it.
  3. I just run water right out of the tap...but since it's gonna be real cold here real soon, I'll switch to automotive based 50/50 antifreeze/coolant and water mix so my shit don't freeze up and crack... I understand the long term effects on a car, but I don't think anyone puts 100,000 miles on their banshee...either. Boy...I sure would love to try...though... Now I know what you're thinking...I run alcohol which burns colder, and I only drag race. But... In my 4 mil cub last year, with a LOT of compression and timing and on race fuel, I ran straight water in the system and I'd beat on it for a while in the dunes, NOT just drag race it.
  4. If your jetting is spot on, you probably aren't hurting anything running 87 octane unless you are at wide open throttle most of the time (open trails or dune riding)... Me...personally, I'd run premium to be on the safe side. It's more resistant to detonation...which, if it happens...will destroy your motor before too long. You probably won't notice a performance gain...unless it's detonating now and you just don't know it....
  5. MBEEZY on PS is trying to get a group together for the 28th. 20 a man IF they can get 12 guys to roll there. I can't make it...no pipes, no carbs...LOL...but, figure I'd post it up for a few other fellas who don't frequent PS.

  7. It depends on what domes and compression you are running.... Octane booster is a joke... either run race fuel or a mix of race/pump fuel IF your motor needs it.
  8. I agree... Put a FAST clutch in with 3 HD springs and 3 stockers...it won't slip. Call Jeff, inspect the rest of the clutch...make sure the basket, inner and outer hub are good. A new clutch with worn out componenets won't last long. His complete clutch, basket and a new inner/outer have lasted me 3 years now of HARD abuse. I'm replacing it after this year, just because it deserves to retire.... Depending on when you went to Silver Lake...I can tell you there are quite a few people that have twice the HP you are pushing, drag frames, etc. Simply put....your bike won't stand a chance against them. You can't compete against a 140HP alky burning drag quad with a 70 HP Duner bike... The only reason I say that is I go to Silver Lake...and a lot of the guys I ride with have BIG motors with BIG $$ in them...and they haul the mail. 10 paddles on a 10 over arm with that motor is too much paddle at Silver Lake. Go back to stock gearing, and practice launching in second. You could probably use 8 or 9 paddle haulers on 8 inch rims....
  9. That top Trinity Cub banshee is a nice ride... I think you should PM Lee or LocoGato1103 to have them move this thread to the online auction watch or at least the for sale forum for better exposure...
  10. Yo Yo...he's got 28PWK Keihins... I'd start with 50 pilots and 155 mains. At your altitude, that should be very safely rich....it all depends on where Bob's porting likes fuel....and how much. But that should be a more than safe starting point....
  11. 40 to 100 HP....give or take...
  12. I agree...their 404 kit uses 68mm pistons, you will need big bore domes. However, I use stock base gaskets on my cub and just trim them a bit, no problems.
  13. Personally...I'd go with 19cc domes and give it more timing... With that much compression, the motor will be fighting itself in higher RPMs, especially with a larger bore piston.
  14. There are two ways...the caveman way and the easy as pie way. Caveman way...you figure out how many links you have to cut off, take a grinder, grind the head of the pin off and use a hammer and punch or a vise, punch and socket to hammer or press it out. Or you could buy a tool called a chain break. You simply use any old ratchet or impact gun to push the pin out...very, very easy and simple... http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDet...odFamilyId=1473 Your local dealer will probably have one for a few more bucks... They are worth every penny IMO.
  15. Sell 'em outright and buy Scottytoohotty's 14 extremes off PS. I'd bet he'd knock a few cheddar off for a local pickup....
  16. Not worth it Travis.... Usually it's you that reels me in...LOL...
  17. Did you actually read my post? 300 foot of SAND....
  18. Unless it's a fuel pump carb...I set PWKs to where they are level on the bottom if you flip it upside down. Make sure the spring in the needle is working too...if it's stuck in, the floats will be too low....
  19. Ok, then I'll rephrase....they're not making any real HP.... I fully understand a slower bike with knobbies being more consistent... Few months ago at the track a utility 4X4 took third....(Luckily, I didn't have to race him...LOL)
  20. Jim is awesome... http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Jim...ys.580-824-2021
  21. Hard to say.. IF those were stockers, I'd say 27.5 or 25 pilots, 280 mains and stock needles on middle clip. If it's tinny or revs but no power on top end, go richer...if it bogs, go leaner. I've never messed with 28mm Mikunis... And I'd start checking your electrical as well, could be something stupid and you'll chase jetting forever. Bad flywheel, coil or stator will cause you a bunch of nightmares.
  22. No offense, but if they're running dirt tires on pavement, they're not serious about racing and/or not making enough HP to make a difference....
  23. KEEP your inframes for duning, unless you're gonna be at the drag strip 90% of the time.
  24. 16/44 isn't NEAR enough gear for asphalt... I run that in 300ft dirt leaving in second... 17/39 or 18/40 is what guys around here run in the 1/8 mile. That's a big mofo front sprocket...
