  1. Got a set of 39PWK alky carbs setup by cubshee, they are fuel pump type carbs. They have Dave Moore Super Jets in them...ready to bolt on and go. Either .120 or .122 dumps (I will measure if you'd like), stock needles and I can put 48 to 60 pilots in there for you, I believe I have every set of pilots in between that range. I also have .120 and .117 mains, you tell me what you'd like to have installed on them. Will have pics up later today. $350 shipped to the US, add 3% paypal fee if using that service. Will ship next day after payment is received via Fed Ex with tracking number, check my feed back on here and HQ. PM me if interested. Ran on my 10 mil cub all year, got Lectrons that I really like now, no need for these anymore.
  2. AWESOME....got any pics of this beast? Heard of them...haven't see them yet. Predaturds....LOL...
  3. They are better than knobbie tires in sand, but not by much.... They're better than nothing, but they're are probably top 2 if not the worst paddle to buy, there are plenty better other options just as affordable....unless they're free. Free is good... Ok...edit, just reread your post. Haulers are NIGHT and DAY better than Geckos... Geckos might turn a bit better due to the V Shaped paddle, for straight line acceleration, your haulers will blow them away... Unless you have like 6 paddle haulers and 10 paddle Geckos...then the haulers won't beat it by as much...LOL.
  4. Was just talking about this with a friend this weekend @ the track. Fast line ignition systems are famous for this as well...
  5. I agree...too may variable for octane booster in a two stroke for me... Tone the motor down on the timing and/or compression to make use of what fuel you have readily available for you...
  6. Ahh...got it. Tusk should be ok with a bolt on, simple ported motor...my fault, sorry bout that. Soaking is a good thing, but not a big deal IMO. See if you can feel or see a lip on the outer edges of the inner/outer. If you can, replace them.
  7. If you are still running your airbox with the lid on, and snorkel only removed..I think 280 is rich too... Are you sure the carbs are in sync and the cable is not binding up at all??
  8. You're running a cheapo clutch on a 4 mil with alky using only 3HD springs and 3 stockers? Two things, get a real clutch...and either use all 6 HD springs or get a lockout clutch. You're kidding yourself if you think a properly tuned 4 mil on alky, OEM cylinder or cub is gonna last with that setup...and as loco said, check the inner and outer hub as well.
  9. Sorry I'm late to this party... Get the speedo in that truck checked... 10 degrees of timing on gas, ported motor with T6s, milled head....and a boost bottle. Talk about your clusterfuck... No way..not happening....not 96MPH. You'd have to have a stronger motor to pull the gearing you'd need to run that kind of MPH.... BS wagon is a coming along now....
  10. You mean 2 piece...right?? of course you use purple loctite...what do I think about that? if they offered pink loctite, you'd use that...that's what I think.... :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  11. I'm pretty sure that if they have a built in crossover, it'll be two pieces. It's a HELL of a lot cheaper to machine that way. Could be wrong, but I haven't seen a one piece with a built in yet. Word to the wise, use blue loctite when you install it. I had 5 or 6 of the bolts that hold that intake on work loose. DO NOT use red loctite, you just need a low strength so they don't vibrate free...
  12. Since you're in SW MI, I assume you're gonna be hitting the dunes. A lot of WOT throttle riding with harder loads on it (deep sand = more load on the motor) it'll probably need a top end freshened up a little quicker than someone riding trails and not WOT all the time (Wide Open Throttle) With proper air filter maintenance...correct jetting (since we have all 4 seasons here in MI, that's critical. It gets COLD over on the West Coast) and quality two stroke oil mixed at a reasonable ratio (I prefer 32:1, but that's a whole other topic...) you'll get years out of it if you average a few weekends of riding a month. I think people have a misconception once you start building them they start to get unreliable. You just push the motor harder when you go bigger... Where about in MI are you?
  13. I don't know how to cut/edit video...I posted a complete 2 minute video in the vid section... Have fun... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=84994
  14. No...Roger is on the far lane with the black frame, red and black seat bike... I've got vid's posted on PS. I even got the run by Dan on Roger's bike, 4.0 run....
  15. Had a great time till the pipe split. I just went over my slips....13 runs (plus 1 by Dan) that I have slips for, I'm sure one or a few got lost. Even as rough as the track was (at times), it was the most consistent I've ever ran. Best run ever @ 4.25, 75.61 MPH, 1.596 60ft and .677 RT. I also laid down six 4.3 runs, plus 1 from Dan.... Normally...in the past, I'd run maybe a 4.2...a couple 4.3s then all over with 40's...etc. And this was the first time out with these new carbs.....

  17. Having a hard time uploading to imageshack....
  18. Yes...Are... You need to get a dunable override tranny. Are you getting a longer swing arm and your shock stiffened up/revalved as well?
  19. I'd get the regular cub....with EXTENSIVE porting, the super cub might make a HP or two more....out of the box with clean up ports, the 68 runs better, believe it or not. DM is the ticket...but that's some coin there, and now you're talking new pipes, intakes, head...and a LOT of case work.
  20. My man, not to sound like a jerk...but from Detroit to Myrtle Beach is nearly 830 miles AND 14 hour drive, EACH way.... For 150 bucks, I'd meet you somewhere in Ohio....
  21. I think my clutch is starting to go, too.... I think I may sit this one out...not sure.... I got a TON of runs in, I really can't complain.... Ok....without knowing a thing about Lectron carbs...other than what others have told me, and what I've researched, In can tell you this, they are awesome. I'm lucky enough to have mine setup by Dennis Packard for a similar motor, there is no doubt he is the top dog for Lectrons, if not, he's in the top two or three.... Having the correct needle is key. From there, you tune the bottom end first. Took me three times (adjustments) and I got it pretty close. Then...read your plugs and tune in the power jet.... No more changing brass..it's turn the needle, open/close the powerjet...you're good. The nicest part is you're taking off the top of the carb to remove the slide and needle, not the float bowl (spilling all that fuel ALL over) to change brass.... Honestly, I did a fair amount of research how to tune them, it's very simple. The only problem I have is the idle down problem. From what I understand, you either have to have holes drilled in the slides to it idles down properly...or get stiffer springs to they shut the slides. These have a nice, easy pull to them, so I think I'm gonna get my slides drilled...but I'll talk to Packard first. Within 3 passes, I had my bike running the same times I ran on my PWK carbs I've had all year. I actually averaged 1-2 MPH faster. Now....that could be the track, could be a lot of things...but I turned my best time ever today, best MPH and best 60 foot time....as well. If you can handle the price of them, I say go for 'em...easy to tune...and quite a few people told me they truly carburette cleaner...
  22. Awesome...all I can say... Had a great day at the track, got 15 to 18 passes in before the seam on my brand new pipes split...so, back to Matt for a warranty. I will give a full write up of pros/cons tomorrow...long day...
  23. I live 1/2 hour from him. Throw in an extra 250 for gas and my time, and I'll take a road trip...
  24. Get a Prius and strap it to the roof.... I understand, I'm a little leary about the temp myself, especially being new carb setup for me... C'mon, it's only money...
