  1. Yeah, I gotta admit that does look really bad on the front like that. I know I can design a better system than that, and cost me a lot less money too................
  2. Well, I don't want to add insult to injury, buuuuuutttttt. I think MFIC is right not every motor is the same and you need to get a starting point and go from there. It is time consuming and a real pain in the ass, but once you get it dialed in, your in like Flint...... I must have taken my carbs apart a dozen times in the past three days ( tryin' to get ready for sand mountain tomorrow, see ya there bansheeseat$$). But Jeff started me out at 172's, and a 55, in the middle clip, 1 1/2 turns out. Once I got the carbs synced I went to work on the mains and pilots, and my best results were with a 168 ( a tad rich so maybe a 165) and a 55 pilot with three turns out on the air screw (which would put me at a 52 pilot). By the way I am at 950' 70* in Northern Cali. I have a 421 cub (thanks Jeff), 35 PWK's, T-5's (I know, don't Start). Anyway, just get a starting point and then go from there, but you need to feel what the bike is doing and that was what I was doing wrong. Once I started doing that, I had a direction to go............ Good luck man
  3. You used to be able to get them anadized, but unless they found a new anadizer I don't think they are in colors anymore. But the head is well worth the money.................
  4. Yeah, my directdrive does not have the vent tube. I had to go back to the "T" that comes from the crankcase breather and put a coupler in there to get rid of the "T"....................
  5. You're in the balpark with the compression, and yes you can run pump gas clear up to about 150-155 psi and then go to 50/50. You really need to do plug chops and listen to your motor it will tell you everything.....................
  6. Damn that makes me want to go build somethin'......................
  7. I've run H1R, and Red line at 32:1 and never had any problems..................
  8. Looks like a nice ride..............
  9. Very nice man.................... You can get some nice shit from a good impound yard...................
  10. Yeah, there are some sick F#!?& people right here in the US. Too bad the people that do this shit don't start the shooting spree with themselves..............
  11. Yeah, It's great when you get everything dialed in............... Mines almost back together and getting close to firing it up............
  12. Yeah, it depends on how heavy you are into drag racing, and how much money you want to spend on the parts...............
  13. I agree that is a bunch of crap. These sites are great for information and a place for people with the same interests to come together and share their knowledge of the sport, but what PS does on a regular basis isn't right and the HQ shouldn't allow advertising for their events. If people want to know about their events they need to go over there. I'm on the fence about the censoring thier site title like they do to us, only because it just seems a little childish even for them to do it. But hey, majority rules and if that is what people want then so be it. I have always liked this site and I am going to continue to come here because people want to help me when I have problems with my ride, plus everyone I talk to seems really cool............... Don't feel bad, I was wondering the same damn thing....................
  14. I'll have watch that...................
  15. If not buy it, and part it out and make more than the $1100 in parts and buy a better one................
  16. First off welcome to the HQ.......................... You first need to figure your budget and what you are really planning on doin' with the shee. You can start off with a port job, new head w/ smaller domes, new reeds, bigger carbs, better exhaust, larger pistons, etc. You also should look at your suspension, because all that new power has to get to the ground and you have to be able to control a machine that during WOT doesn't want to be controlled.............. There is also the swingarm, with more power you need to extend it some, how much depends on how much power you are pushing and how well you want to control the bike................. By the way welcome to the sickness, and you may want to introduce your shee to your bank account because they are going to get really personal really quickly. Besides, you can go as fast as your bank account will allow...............
  17. I'd be interested in those lines too...................
  18. Yeah, I was looking for something that I can use when I m out in the dunes. I didn't want my rides to walk away. I have one of those large choker kinda cables and a few heavy to chains, maybe I'll Just go get a few heavy duty locks....................
  19. Take one of the tires off and reverse the tire and put it back on the same rim. The name may not face out, but at least the both paddles will be rotating in the right direction..............
  20. Yeah, I ran about 10 gallons of AVgas mixed with 10 of 93 and usually came back with 5 gallons, but then again I didn't run all the time either. Now, with the new motor i think that is going to change..............
  21. I want to get some security cables and locks and was wondering what everyone was using. Eventually I am getting an enclosed trailer, but for now I have to use locks and cables. Motosport has the crytonite locks and cables which has a pretty good reputation. I looked at RMATV and their's are off the wall brands and I am not sure if they would be easy to destroy, or is the cryptonite ones prices just reflect the name. I had the cryptonite locks when I rode my CBR 600 all the time, but just wanted some input................. Thanks
  22. The T-5's are nice pipes, thats what I run..................
  23. Yeah, I ran mine for two years at +4, but then I went to AV gas, a little better performance and with the price of fuel here is Cali, they were really close to the same price.
