  1. Yeah, it did a good job. Is that rust or oil and dirt on there.................?
  2. With a 404, you need to let that thing breath. Just use them....................
  3. Me either............... (sorry man) There is another general discussion? Damn I guess I never paid attention, I either went in here or the subject I was looking at.............(duh)
  4. Those stainless pipes looked rusted to me............... I would go with the '03, but thats me. The reason for that is because yes you need to put more money into it, but at least you know that the mods were done right, and that the bike didn't have the shit beat out of it. But it is you that needs to be happy with it, if ya like it, grab it....................
  5. Yeah, they can't use the system for personal use. But you can probably call them of your local DMV and give them the VIN and ask them if the VIN has been reported stolen, if it has you know where they can find it.................
  6. Bingo...................
  7. Yeah it lets it breath without restriction, but if you ride water then yes you should keep it on. I run pods and got away from the damn stock air box, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.............
  8. Yeah, bein' a newbie on a site and delibrately tryin' to start shit like that isn't cool, especially when you are asking us for answers or opinions. If its a question that has been asked a thousand times, all the info you need to do research is on here. Then if you still have questions then post a new question, or at least a twist on an old one...................Not cool man. By the way I run the exact motor that you are interested in too.................
  9. Those new 700's are quick, but you can be quicker. You'll probably need the port job to start pulling larger front gears and runnin' with the 700. Most of your mods are small and some don't even do anything, but I won't pour salt in that wound again. Anyway, do more research and you will figure out what type of riding you do and what types of mods you can afford and want to go with. The cub is really, really nice, but it's a drag motor and you really need to want to use it as such.
  10. You may as well check the carbs, then you can eliminate that as a problem. Then move on to the next possible.................
  11. Yeah, I really want the EGT sensor and I don't see where that one offers the choice. Everything else is cool on it, but I want the EGT because its the most accurate cylender temp reading.
  12. Right on man, good luck with the build-up.............
  13. No, those aren't them. If it jogs anyones memory these things were like $300-$400 dollars and they did all kinds of crap. They were both runnin' cubs and one was on alcohol and the other was on race fuel. They told me that they helped to tune the bike, and to protect the engine, because when they were on a long run and the EGT got to like 1300-1400 degrees they knew they needed to back off the motor or burn holes in stuff. They ran this with a dial a jet and they were able to dial in the jetting really precisely and not have to rely so much on the plugs. I know exactly what the thing looked like, and I'll know it when I see it. Thanks for all the reply's so far.............
  14. Thats one thing about kids these days. Mommy and Daddy give them a blank check and they find a builder and you can have all kinds of shit done to these bikes, and not know it from the outside. I'd seriously look into the cubby, I love mine. Next mods for me are going to be shocks, I spin like hell and I don't even have Shearer's or CPI's, which are coming if I can get a good price on them and sell my T-5's. If you go this route you can always upgrade other parts, but it is a great powerplant to start with............. But the key is do your research to know what you are getting into as far as cost. Give Jeff at FAST a call, but either way research, research, research, oh, and did I mention research................
  15. When I went to Sand Mountain recently I met these two guys that had these computer things on their Shee's that were pretty cool. I think they called them Tech-something or something-tech, and they were red and yellow on the front. They showed engine temp, and exhaust temp and a few other things, but I was really interested in the Pyrometer sensor. Does anyone use one of these, or know where I can get more info on the manufacturer so I can get more info? Thanks for the input................
  16. Twenty minutes, you didn't even give them time to warm up all teh heat cycles, why you sellin' them............
  17. MAn , I'd still ride it in the summer, just not in the sand. But yes, I would start it once in a while to get the seals loobed and the gas won't jell up..............
  18. Cool, I don't feel old now................. Just kiddin' Happy Birthday man.............
  19. Yeah, the odd looking one would definately be the masterlink................. Drag BMX!!!!!!!!!!!! I like it :yelrotflmao:
  20. 3.5 feet!!! I think you need a boat, or maybe a yamaha waverunner, not a banshee. Well all kidding aside, banshee's are made for quad riding in sand, dirt, mud and small shallow water. They are not designed to be submerged in water like the 4x4's. The airbox is not water tight, thats not to say you couldn't make it that way, but I don't think that I would try it. The electrical connections, air intake (airbox, snorkel) are not designed with that kind of riding in mind. It is a sport quad anyway not a utility......... Just out of curiosity, why do you ride in that deep of water anyway? Does your friend live on an island and have a limited area to ride (just yankin' your chain, couldn't resist)............ Good luck with that.............
  21. Agreed................
  22. Well I think you are going to get spanked............. I mean you are putting a 421 up against a 373, and there is no replacement for displacement. But then again it all doesn't depend on motor alone, and the other variables will go into play. Just run him and find out.................
  23. Fastrthnu, boy you better keep than helmet stap buckled. You can see it flailing in the wind in your picture. Sorry MarineNYC, couldn't help myself...................
  24. They're called stealerships for a reason.......................
  25. Ya might look at your shift lever. When I rev mine up it vibrates left to right, but when I put my foot against it the noise stops.............. And yes its tight, but I am not sure why it vibrates..............
