  1. Cool, math class..................
  2. I'm gettin' a little tired of the Clinton's and Bush's. I think Michael Savage should run, he doesn't take shit from anyone...............
  3. Its not just the float you may be suckin' the fuel out of the bowls faster than the tiny stock tube and petcock can fill them and the go dry and you in turn run out of fuel. I was afraid of doing that so I got a Pengel for $70 and larger bowls and now I don't have to worry about it............. But it was specifically for long runs like that or just tearin' across the dunes at WOT................
  4. Yeah, I went with the Pengel because of the cubby, but it runs about $70 but its worth it to me for the piece of mind that my bowls wont go dry on long runs and lean out the motor.
  5. Ya, unless you are doing suspension mods right away, the 700R will have better suspension than the shee. But if it is sand you're ridin' in, I'd go with the shee. Plus I would rather rebuild the shee than the Raptor......................
  6. Ya, I think I would jump on that if I were you too. $350 sounds like a good deal to me................
  7. Yeah, I polish mine once in a while and they still look really good. The only bummer is that the bracket attached to the expansion chamber on the right pipe has rust between it and the pipe. It almost looked like the chrome didn't take right there for some reason................
  8. I just remove the front and rear motor mount bolts, remove the front motor mount brackets, plugs and carbs. I then take off the torque bars under the motor and let them hang down. Then I slide it out the clutch side of the frame. Easy peasy-lemon-squeezy.....................
  9. I really think the raptor is faster than Metro........................ :yelrotflmao:
  10. You and me both brother....................
  11. That would make a nice house...............
  12. When you say silver, you aren't seeing silver flakes are you? Because if you are the flakes are usually motor parts being destroyed, or is just a grey color. It should be brown if everything was dialed in..............
  13. I've ran T-5's for five years now and they still look as good as the day they were put on............
  14. Try Jeff at FAST, his prices are really good and the customer service is second to none............
  15. Yeah, shit when my bike had 95 lbs. it wouldn't start at all. But that was all it took to rebuild, yahoo..............
  16. If you put your ear back by the kick starter it could be something different because the impeller is in front of the clutch pack not behind it like the kicker. Like Brandon said, you need to start wrenchin' and figure out what has come loose.............
  17. You have to figure out a way to either shim the brackets or bend the pipes to make more clearance. I moved my filters back about eight inches by extending with ABS pipe and large freight truck radiator hose. Then I put a bolt down through the center of the filters and used a piece of chrome diamond plate to bolt it to and it looks pretty trick. This longer distance may be causing turbulance inside the cylender, but I am going to have to experiment with it. Hope that helps..................
  18. Very Nice....................
  19. Ya, you got very lucky and you can always fix your ride.......................
  20. If you have to do that, something is definately wrong. You need to start over with your carbs and get each circuit dialed in, with the same sized jets..................
  21. I run a NOSS head with 18cc domes because the cooling channels are better and it holds a little more coolant. It can also take different sized domes. Plus, if you get the head from FAST you will be supporting one of the site sponsors...................
  22. Well I just went to my local True Value and they have the best stock of metric and stainless nuts and bolts. They are usually 5-6 times cheaper than the stealer. I lost some lug nuts and Yami wanted $4.99 a piece and I went in there and got three nuts and four washers for $1.85, which beat the hell out of $15 bucks...............
  23. The motor is not an all around motor. It has very nice upper end and some mid, but as far as the bottom end............ Everyone always says that cubs have no bottom end, I think this is referring to the torque aspect. No, there is no torque down low, but my experience with my shee is that it is really close to the response I had down low when it just had pipes and stock motor. But there is a hell of a lot of difference when the powerband hits. But yes it is definately a drag motor................... If you wanted the all around motor you do need to look at haveing your stockers ported, I think you would be much happier for the riding you are talking about. You have already heard from Jeff at FAST, but you may want to still give him a call and get more info. But an FYI, he's very busy this time of year so be patient. The reason he's busy is because he's good at what he does.............. Just my .02
  24. Yeah right.......................
