  1. If you want to make it totally bulletproof go with a billet 2nd gear, spring loaded straight-cut gears and billet basket. TZ bearings on the crank...
  2. Pack em up and send them off to Kevin at Herr Jugs Racing. He will hook you up. You only want to bore them enough to clean them up. Don't eat up bores trying to make power. If you want power, you need to get the ported. Kevin can do that for ya too. Send them to him and he will get you the top end you need and do the bore/hone and send them back to ya ready to install and run. - Jared
  3. LOL awesome
  4. RMATV will beat most competitors prices on 2-stroke oil. I buy all my oil from them.
  5. Carb cleaner. Lots of rags.
  6. Sounds like time to split the cases! What exactly did you pour into your crank? The only things I would ever consider pouring in there would be gasoline, methanol, 2-stoke oil, or carb cleaner.
  7. Shearer pipes. Snipers would be my next choice, then CPI's. CPI's SUCK ASS for access to your plugs and pipe routing back around the filters. I only run them as a last resort.
  8. Just go get yourself an electric impact gun and you won't need to risk jacking up any pistons.
  9. Engine and frame VIN say its an 89 model.
  10. DYNA SOLD! Cool head still available.
  11. You can get the little aluminum plugs from cascade innovations. You can put them in with the cases together no problem. Just make sure you have them flat and flush before you pound them into the case. You don't want them to go in crooked or it can wallow out the hole and they will never seal.
  12. I've run them in a lot worse shape than that. Those don't look that bad. I would just get some sand-paper and clean up the inside of the cylinder wall and get a machinists flat-edge and check the deck of the cases. If the deck isn't flat I would get a refund since its a sealing surface. If the deck is good, run em!
  13. Bump! Make me an offer on the cool head...
  14. I would get a new builder. Give kevin at Herr Jugs Racing a call. He won't do you wrong. Great guy to deal with. The broken piston could be caused by excessive piston to cylinder wall clearance, detonation from a lean condition, porting the intakes of the pistons can also caus cracks and breaks. Post up pictures of your spark plugs, domes, and tops of the pistons and we might be able to help you out a little better. Those three things will tell you tons about how the motor was running.
  15. Hit up kevin at Herr Jugs Racing for a low end port job. He does some awesome work and you won't be disappointed. Give him a call and tell him what kinda riding you want to do and what your current mods are and he will hook you up.
  16. Sounds like its time for a top end rebuild. They get hard to start when the top end gets worn out. They will also get hard to start if your jetting is off. Get yourself a compression tester and check your compression. Pull the carbs off and take them apart and clean them and see what jets you've got in there. Get us that info and we can go from there... - Jared
  17. God I love Wyoming more and more every day. Local station in Rock Springs, WY had this hanging out by the pumps. LOL!
  18. Your probably going to have something wrong down around the shift shaft. Pull the clutch basket off and check it out. You can buy all the shift shaft stuff for under $100. Should be an easy fix. Also check your clutch cover for wear. It has a little tab that holds the shift shaft in place and prevents it from slipping off the cogs on the shift star.
  19. Every time I drill those things and try to re-tap them they just strip again down the road. Its a lot easier to just weld a grade 8 stud into the frame. Then you don't have to mess with drilling your footpegs out to the next bigger size either.
  20. Porting is the best bang for the buck power mod for the banshees. Adding the normal bolt-ons to porting makes the complete package. Give kevin at Herr Jugs Racing a call and he will take care of you. He does some awesome port work. You won't be disappointed. Porting Pipes Timing advance Cool head Reeds Carbs Those are the basics. Kevin can hook you up with all of them.
  21. flywheel sold! Dyna and cool head still available!
  22. Man I totally agree. If I were a CP industries guy i would be all over this...
  23. Chase, it might help for folks to know that the cylinders have a full drag port from FAST racing and made 100hp on alky. Good luck with the sale!
  24. The only thing the Voltage Regulator is for is the lighting. If you don't have lights you don't need it. If you run your banshee with lights and without the regulator, the first time you rev your engine it will blow all your bulbs.
