  1. with a stock head at 800ft that sounds pretty good. give her hell.
  2. Skidoo summit 670 coils also fit the banshee. You can find them cheap on ebay.
  3. Im missing a joke here somewhere, shoot me a link so i can get caught up.
  4. Looks like you are missing a shim or washer of some sort. Try adding one and see how it feels.
  5. Save up a few extra bucks and go for the real PWK carbs.
  6. It is probably the same as its always been. One big hill with a couple small dunes. BLM comes through every year and puts up log fences to try and block access to different areas and people tear the fences down throughout the year. Compared to other dune areas you can ride it is rather small and I got bored there pretty quick. The big hill wasn't a challenge on my old 4mil dune bike. Stock stroke bikes might have a hard time with it though. Probably more fun out on a boat or fishing, but that's just my opinion. If it were me, I would go the extra distance and just ride at KP or go down to Walden and ride. Out of the three, Seminoe was my least favorite.
  7. Thanks for the reply, I will keep an eye on the auction. If it doesn't meet your reserve, hit me up and we can work out a deal. Thanks, -Jared
  8. If he ran it out of gas and heard a pop (going lean, or possibly top end going out) its time to drain coolant and pop the head off and inspect things. Take your plastics and gas tank off, drain coolant, and take the head off and take a look at everything. Sounds like you have already checked the easy stuff and didn't find any culprits there.
  9. Tore engine down, went through everything. In the process of ordering parts here and there when I can afford them now. Also have a RZR that I am adding parts to, so budget is spread between a couple toys. Nothing really new to talk about. Got a +6 swingarm, chopped a lot of weight out of the frame, bled the brakes, ordered a new rear brake line, chain, sprockets, handle bars. Just been doing the cheap easy stuff so far.
  10. Will you private message me some pics of the pipes please? Thanks, -Jared
  11. Saw your ebay sale. How much without the carbs? Will the damage to the one dome be repaired prior to sale, or will another head / domes be provided?
  12. Will it start and idle at all? If it will idle, while its running, spray some carb cleaner around your intake boots, cylinder base gasket, reeds, etc. Listen for a bog or rev while you are spraying. You could have an air leak. You can also try swapping plug caps side to side and see if the problem jumps to the other cylinder. Swap reeds, intake boots, etc. Pull the carbs off and give them a good cleaning just for safe measure. You can unplug your stator wires and check resistance across the different coils and make sure that is all within spec. Failing stators can cause some weird issues like that sometimes, so its worth checking and is pretty easy to do.
  13. Need a good working 87-94 round plug CDI box and a good voltage regulator.
  14. If its where the expansion chamber meets your silencer stinger, lots of companies sell those seals they are cheap. Just replace it.
  15. Check your float height in the carbs, check bowl gasket on the carbs. On the leaking pipes, take the silencer off, and check the seal where the stinger tube meets the silencer. I do t remember what the T5s had for a seal there. Some have a press-fit, some have an oring, etc. Dont be afraid to tear into it,these things are pretty simple. Do you have stock air box or pod filters? Tors deleted on the stock carbs? Might be easy to chase down the leak or might be a pain depending on how much stock garbage is on the carbs.
  16. Just a heads up - if you use that fiberglass cloth style header wrap they sell at automotive stores, it will leave marks on your pipes after a while. I've used it in the past around the filters and it worked good, but if you ever unwrap the pipes they will have marks from the wrap that are tough to remove. If you don't ever plan to remove the wrap, then I would give it a try. worked good for me in the past.
  17. Sounds like a carb issue. Maybe a stuck float from when it was standing up. Pull the carbs and clean them and start there... Pull the plugs and kick it over a few times to blow any excess fuel out of the crank area that might be trapped there.
  18. I agree with Skeeter, start by pulling the carbs and cleaning them. What do the plugs look like? Check compression and make sure you're not low on either cylinder. Since you just pulled it out of storage, does it have good gas in it? -Jared
  19. Located in Cheyenne, WY but willing to travel for the right deal. I have two skidoo summit 670 X models that i'd like to trade for 1 or 2 banshees, depending on what you've got. Both run great, start right up even in cold temps. 130hp, the blue one is stock, the yellow one has clutching done and is a bit faster. Both will pull the skiis off the ground and keep them off the ground as long as you stay in the throttle. They run about the same as a 10mil. We have taken these out 3 times this year and just dont enjoy the cold weather sports as much as the summer stuff. Normal wear and tear for their age (blue is a 98, yellow is a 99). Blue has 2500 miles and yellow has 3500 miles. Tracks in good shape. No issues, they are both ready to ride. Let me know what you have that you would trade... https://beta-static.photobucket.com/images/ii14/WyoBanshee/2/99d3cdd6-b6a0-4154-a423-6dd4eacde29c-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bound s https://beta-static.photobucket.com/images/ii14/WyoBanshee/2/0cde5b94-00ea-4877-85fe-1ba6f50b9bb0-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bound s https://beta-static.photobucket.com/images/ii14/WyoBanshee/2/692d239d-d934-4513-82db-4789b5ce54a9-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bound s https://beta-static.photobucket.com/images/ii14/WyoBanshee/2/efa7f038-b8a2-4470-a872-28f587ba9b61-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bound s https://beta-static.photobucket.com/images/ii14/WyoBanshee/2/067a2ac5-81d1-4934-a76c-e11be52bdbb4-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bound s https://beta-static.photobucket.com/images/ii14/WyoBanshee/2/9d95c04c-63d1-4999-80a1-5c6d444f96a7-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bound s https://beta-static.photobucket.com/images/ii14/WyoBanshee/2/63bccb7a-cb53-48f7-8e3d-f21362466c0a-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bound s https://beta-static.photobucket.com/images/ii14/WyoBanshee/2/0009e65c-af5c-4991-9653-e7632c5edd8b-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bound s https://beta-static.photobucket.com/images/ii14/WyoBanshee/2/6a20a0e4-52a6-4d05-bbf7-e675e4fb98e8-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bound s https://beta-static.photobucket.com/images/ii14/WyoBanshee/2/07e5a835-4b4f-48f0-b8fd-9e85a170f5cb-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bound s
  20. You can buy all-thread at home depot, lowes, menards, etc. They usually have little bins with small pieces of metal. It will be around there, or in the bolts and screws section. Tractor supply, murdochs, etc. They all carry it.
  21. Ditch all the overflow shit. Take a breather hose from the top of the radiator down along the frame and just dump onto the ground. Take the breather on the back of the engine block and go between the block and the swingarm down under the back. Take the breather in front of the water pump and just follow the frame member in front of it and take it down to the ground. Throw overflow bottle and those hoses running all over the bike right in the trash.
  22. I had a frame in the past where the previous owner drilled out the threads on both sides on the rear hole and fed a long piece of all-thread through the frame and tightened the footpegs on both sides with a nut. It worked...
  23. My banshees always had pod filters and pingel fuel valve so different setup. I know the breather lines and electrical all sat in those little arms that are on the side of the air box.
  24. On the air filter, you can get some foam from a local hobby store or shipping store and cut it to fit the air filter / air box. Glue it to the air filter housing.
