  1. With your clutch off and the transmission in 1st or 2nd gear. (any gear but neutral) Loosen the lock washer that holds the lock nut in place on the eccentric adjustment bolt. Once loosened, turn the eccentric bolt until the space between the upper claw and lower claw on your shift shaft are equally spaced above and below the shift star cogs. Below is a pic of the upper shift star cog and upper shift shaft claw. You want this space to be equal on the top and bottom. Once you have the eccentric adjusted tighten the lock nut back down and bend the lock washer over the nut.
  2. Holy shit I'm ordering 10 right now!
  3. Another great port job from kevin!
  4. if its shifts on its own, sounds like your shift star roller detent spring is getting weak. I have a walkthrough of the bottom end assembly at the top of the repairs and mods section. there is also a link to it in my signature. - Jared
  5. Call up Kevin at Herr Jugs Racing! He will hook you up with boring and honing. Great prices, fast turnaround, awesome guy to deal with. I wouldn't go anywhere else...
  6. I've got a skidoo summit 670... what all you got on your cub?
  7. For the $200 they are already charging you, you could get a frame. I would just swap the stuff frame to frame. Takes an afternoon. Not as hard as it may look.
  8. Here's a reference for a lay-down chassis...
  9. Actually that picture was taking from my engine assembly walkthrough. That is a billet basket with anodizing on it. All you are seeing in the picture is the anodizing being worn off. the basket itself is still nice and smooth. It has never once been filed down or worked on. The barnett baskets with the steel inserts are a bad idea. I've seen quite a few of them come apart and scatter the steel sections all around the engine. Bad news.
  10. I would send it to Kevin at Herr Jugs Racing. He does some awesome work and fast turnaround. Awesome guy to deal with. I wouldn't send my stuff anywhere else...
  11. If it is on a turbo setup, I would run gas. You will spend a lifetime trying to tune in the turbo AND the methanol. Gas and a turbo will give you more than enough power...
  12. I would call Noss on the domes. Your clutch is probably just out of adjustment.
  13. You have both setups jetted correctly? What is the chassis setup of both bikes? Both riders the same skill level and weight? The cheetah cub is probably spinning the shit out of the tires wtih only 8 paddles. There are a LOT of variables that go into a race & its virtually impossible to tell whats going on with the lack of detail you've provided. First thing I would check is the jetting on both bikes and see if one is lean or rich, and definitely get the correct tire setup for both bikes. Neither one should be running 8 paddle haulers...
  14. Sad part is that turd is probably slower than a stock banshee with all the weight he added with the gold plating. Gold isn't light by any means. This guy is just retarded.
  15. Its an oxygenated fuel additive. Contains 50% Nitropropane and 50% Koolinal as blending and cooling agents. Koolinal also resists detonation and pre-ignition. Hope you are jetted rich or plan on burning up a top end... Save yourself the trouble and just buy some good aftermarket parts and make the power difference without the headaches. They do provide this advice on their site... increase jets by 4 sizes. For high compression engines retard timing 2 degrees.
  16. The electrical system on the banshee is AC voltage, not DC. If you want to run DC accessories you need to do a DC conversion, float the ground on your stator and get a rectifier and a battery. There are plenty of walkthrough's out there on the net on how to do this...
  17. Twister big-block is the only way I would go for a powervalve setup.
  18. One piston you are lean and the other you are rich. The piston with almost no carbon buildup is rich. That's called piston wash. You have so much fresh fuel coming into the cylinder that it washes the top of the piston. The other cylinder looks lean and like you might have some detonation or you got some crud into the engine somewhere. Did you do a leak-down test? Take your carbs and clean the crap out of them and make sure both are jetted correctly and adjusted properly when you put it back together. Pull your jets out and clean behind them in the carbs.
  19. That thing would have been perfect looking if you had done the hubs black...
