  1. i would keep a eye on this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...6&category=6725 Rockaway is like 45 minutes away from me and this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...8&category=6725 which is probally 5-10 mins from me, it even comes with a trailer, like you need another one but how gay is that radiator cover, if you want i may be able to check it out for you sometime.
  2. thanks for the tips. i know how to take the bottom end apart, but im to lazy to for such a small problem. im going to try to stand it upside down tomorrow. damn are these bikes easy to work on, 1 hour after i started to take it apart i knew exactly what happened, im just wondering WHY!! I will have lots of time waiting for my nice wiseco piston to come.
  3. hey, the intake side of my piston skirt broke off in my 99 cr 80 i bought recently. im now stuck with a butt load of aluminum chips and debris in my bottom end. Im wondering what you guys with a similar problem did? i would think putting a water hose too it would rust the inside out since i wont be able to dry it real good. also, why would the skirt just crack off? the bike was running real good all day, had decent compersion and all!! Im slapping myself in the head for not throwing a new piston in there when i got it, not that the engine got damaged, its just annoying!! Thanks!
  4. they are really good, but its amazing how 2 little burgers have over 15 grams of fat!!
  5. im so trying that!!
  6. a cr 80 i got had a fmf fatty pipe on it, it had lots of rust and just plain looked nasty. i first got a steel wool pad, put soap all over the pipe and went to town. i then hit it with lots and lots of mothers polish, let me tell you, it looks brand new. no more rust, and shiny as ever. when i get a camera i want to post some pictures of that beast!!
  7. did you read the article? "by the development of a new breed of fuel injectors by the Australian company Orbital" "Two-strokes are of interest to the automotive industry due to their simplicity and high power-to-weight ratio - if only they weren't so dirty and fuel inefficient. Both these phenomena are caused by the two-stroke principle of using fresh, fuel-rich intake air to clean or scavenge the cylinder of exhaust gases. The tuned exhaust systems try and prevent much of this charge from escaping out of the cylinder with the exhaust gases, but a lot still does. With direct injected fuel, this is no longer a problem as air can be used to expel the exhaust gas, and the injectors only fire at the moment the exhaust ports have closed. Result is nice clean exhausts, free of unburned hydrocarbons, and un-polluted clean fresh charge waiting for the big bang of the next ignition pulse. Two-stroke heaven. " "The fuel injection system will be linked into an engine management system that checks many of the factors that influence the amount of fuel to be injected, including air temperature, water temperature, exhaust gas temperature and airbox pressure" "Another major contribution to the clean exhaust of the Due is the use of the gearbox oil to lubricate the main bearings, rather than relying on the fuel/oil mist of regular two-strokes. Cylinder and crankshaft lubrication is still performed by two-stroke oil, flowing down small galleries into the guts of the engine. There is a two liter oil tank partition to the fuel tank that will need very infrequent topping up" "with a hydraulically-actuated dry clutch and 6-speed side-loading cassette gearbox that will come in handy if you want change your gearing for your favorite set of curves" nothing against the RZ 500, but this thing is just so impressive, a 2 stroke that meets EPA standards and still hauls balls.
  8. but it didnt have anywhere near the technology this mofo has!!
  9. here is a picture of mine, i like it alot. its the C5 with a shorty lever, i mostly only use 3 fingers when im using it. very blinging too!!
  10. he's moving right now, he said he's busy the last time i talked to him about our pipe trade.
  11. thats 370banshee
  12. wow, i want one!! http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mcbimota/bimota500.html
  13. to download movies theres alot of stuff you can download, i got 155 N64 games and an emulater, like 3 gigs worth. took me 4 days with 4 computers hooked up to my router. my friend who downloaded it only took 1 day with 2 computer hooked up. whats best of all is that it you can stop the download, turn off the computer, and when your ready you can start it right where it was.
  14. another thing to remember that a bore job is included in that $375 with passion, so that means you need another $100 for pistons, and you are going to want a coolhead. i think on my setup the stock head would have given me like 100 PSI, and i think i have 19cc domes which bring it to 145 PSI. I love it, its a bottom end port job and it is insane on pavement. i gotta get around to changing out the front sprocket because i have it geared way too low right now, all it does is spin in the dirt.
  15. i wish i would have seen this earlier. when i put my 28mms on, it was pretty much my first time ever adjusting carbs, i set the idle where i thought was good. when i started it, it obviously wasnt, it would idle high and just start to rev like crazy. turns out i was like 5 turns to far like you. i am having the same problem as you on a cr 80 that i have with the starting. im not sure if it is just how dirtbikes are suposed to be started, but when its warm, i need to hold the throttle open for it to start. when its cold, it starts 1st or second kick, im not too motivated to fix it, though. its only a beater bike. but i think the pilot is lean, either that or the air screws. it has a slight bog on the bottom when i am going pretty slow, but im thinking it is just a lack of bottom end a 2 stroke has.i may mess with the air screws tomorrow. i also had the midrange bog like you do, all i had to do was go one down on the needle and it pulled like a mother. the previous owner gave up on it thinking it needed so much shit done to it to get it to work, 5 minutes in my garage and its like new, 150 PSI of compression, pretty good for 0$!!
  16. pretty sweet http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...5&category=6724
  17. something i made pretty quick. that damn piston took a while though!! i used loco's engine and pipes, and dunedemons tires
  18. i liked it alot when i was piped, there wasnt a hill i couldnt climb. it wheelies alot better too. right now it sucks because i got her ported, carbs, and a noss head and there is too much acceleration resulting in excess wheel spin in the first 3 gears. it makes it feel pretty slow in dirt and stuff like that, on pavement the acceleration is friggin crazy, its hard to stop it from poping up. i have a 15 tooth sprocket to put on but i never have time, the gears are way to short on my setup with the 13. for a piped shee i say go for it!!!
  19. let me tell you, it is such a pain in the ass to get the 28mm's on the stock boots. you defiinally need longer screws for the clamps. it just takes lots and lots of patience. i swear i never want to do that again, it is a good idea to try to clamp it together with a dividing workbench or something once you get it on. the boots will slip off very easily once you get it on so hold that shit tight. i didnt have to cut or modify the boots at all, it just took a while to get it done.
  20. you see those 3 lines of text under the pictures: URL- TAG- IMG- just copy and past all the text from the "IMG" line or you n do it pressing the IMG button under "U" and "font" right above this body when you are posting, add the "URL" line, then press the "IMG" button again. im having a problem with that new video hosting site, i cant get my video uploaded. it goes to a screen after like 10 mins of loading, this is what it says Checking uploads in the last 24 hours... - Upload limit is fine Parsing $_POST data...Checking file existence and file type... something fucked up
  21. thats what little jimmy thought before he dissapeared
  22. happy easter for those on the east coast!!
  23. i see you live in NJ too. what track do you ride at? i have been wanting to see what its like riding MX. nice kill, though!!
  24. you forgot the part where you kick the mechanic in the crotch
  25. see, this is just an idea that poped into my head. it may as well be a future project, but i have no intentions right now of doing it. i just wanted to see what you guys thouhgt of the idea. i was thinking it would be hard to tune the bike becasue i would run a seperate motor and it would probally only run on one speed, not in sync with the RPM of the bike. unless i was to rig a wire that would turn the motor on once i get above idle, idk, fun to think about..
