hey guys, im looking for a junk 4 stroke bike that has a blown motor, needs rebuild, etc... I want to spend around $100 or so, it does not matter what kind of bike it is. The only requirments i have are that it is manual, im talking dirtbike, streetbike, ANYTHING that is a manual and would make some decent power (150cc or up). The only reason i want one of these bikes is because i have worked on so many 2 strokes, but never a 4 stroke, i need to get some experience working on thse things. Let me know what you have. ATTENTION: i will be leaving for vacation tomorrow and i will be gone for 2 weeks with no internet access so just reply and i will get back to you ASAP.

ya, spend 30 bucks or so on a good compression tester. all of them sound real low, i doubt it is just a coincident.
-
I just bumped this thread up, now my shit ripps!!
-
i think its around $2.50 for 93 premium around here, it costs me $6 plus oil to fill my RM250, and that is all gone in a couple hours of riding.

i agree, fuck the enviriomentalists, Were we ride is a construction area. they are building a highway through there, as long as we dont fuck with anything, they dont care. Lets see, what pollutes the enviroment more, a little smoke from a 2 stroke or the tons of tar they pour on the ground for pavement? Tar is produced from petroluem, last time i checked, all those fumes and gasses going into the air isnt a good thing, but this goes on and on with no second thoughts.

those numbers are extremely low, these engines need at least 100PSI to even run. Either your budies need to get a new compression tester, or they are somehow not doing it right. The tester for the car works fine, make sure you have one that screws in, the ones you hold to the spark plug hole dont clear the gas tank, and it would be impossible to do by yourself becasue you need to kick the bike over like 20 times . a stock engine should be around 130PSI, we cant tell you how much compression a "shaved head" will give you since you can mill all diffrent ammounts off. I can see a ported motor having 100PSI if he didnt have his head modded or got a billet head with smaller domes, when you change the port timing, the compression specs change.

haha, i would call the place "on the down low". There are alot of people that go there, i mean, im not going to post directions on the net, but its no "secret spot". the cops know we are there, as long as nothing stupid is happening they dont seem to care.
-
hell ya, alot of cops at our riding spot dont give a shit as long as you arnt doing anything stupid. Like not wearing a helmet or driving on the highway doing wheelies good luck!!

are you sure its the shocks? i never had that problem, however, the swingarm skid plate came lose a couple times and made that loud clank sound.

If it isnt that bad, maybe try to polish both sides up. It really should mess with you unless it is really bad. Make sure you take it to a good, trust worthy mechanic becasue you are in prime position to get screwed.

PM ellison445, me had the same problem and found a quick fix.

close....he wasnt afraid to ask hte important questions that have plagued society for years. some of these questions being.. "How many minutes does it take for the shee's engine to blow up, having it in the first gear and full throttle ?" "what happens if you keep ur shee compeletey stock" "who likes to do spinning and doing donuts, and who hates it. what was your maximum time you did spinning, how many minutes" "if you see fit chicks, what would you do to impress them using your banshee " -
Whats up guys, here is a nice 1986 LT250r for sale, it is a really nice bike. I can wheelie on this thing like crazy, Its great for trails and the track as it is now. I just replaced the rear brake pads, and i think it needs a new master cylinder for the front brakes, which are not working. It runs very good, its quick, crazy on the bottom, and great on top. It has works shocks with rezzies in the front and white power racing rear shock. It has a +2 axel also. I just had the pipe nickle plated(not pictured), it looks good. Also not pictured is a black, leather seat cover we put on. It actually is just a sheet of leather we fit on there, which looks alot better than that blue one. As you can see there are some other mods on it, she handels great. The only real problem is that the chain snapped on the previous owner and took a chunk out of the case. since it was a clean break, they were able to JB weld it and it has held up great. There have been no leaks so i can safely say it wont give you any trouble. I am asking $1600 OBO, and i am located in bloomfield, NJ, you can come see it if you want! I really need this thing sold, i owe someone $1000 and need it paid back ASAP!

http://www.suzukicycles.org/RM-RMX-series/....shtml~isoraami this is where i first saw it. look through all the bikes, i never knew suzuki made so many 2 strokes. They even had a rm 500!
-
i have no idea, thats why im asking! And about the 2 stroke thing, i know of many many mopeds that are 2 stroke around here. They are all registered and legal, just cant be over 50cc's and of course has to have all the lights and junk.
