now that i think of it, it was that BILLETBANSHEE that someone just posted a link for. i figured fuck it, it was more trouble then it was worth getting an exchange. as long as some of the lights work, they are some bright sum bitches.
-
DMP maybe, i dont think they would look as good on a blue shee though

dont use the word SELL!! i love the bike but want a blank canvas to do my own thing on. modding the banshees was alot of fun, i need something else to dump my money into
-
they look alot better than the stock ones, here is mine with blue LEDs. make sure you order the one for your years, i bought the older style one so i had to make a bracket to fit it on there and there are 3 wires on the newer banshee, the light had 2 like the older banshee's(i forget the years) im not sure if i got a defective light but the first time i used it 3 LEDs blew out, i mean really poped and sparked!! kinda pissed me off that the guy on ebay(the dealer) did nothing to help me!

hey, im looking to trade my modded 97 rm250 that was just fully rebuilt about 25 hours ago. I am looking for a stock or modded 2000+ cr250. This bike has a pro curcuit pipe, RRP stage 2 port job and head mod, twin air filter, ASV F3 clutch(not pictured), applied fork clamps and (i forget the brand)fat bars, pro curcuit fork revalve, RRP rear shock revalve, N style graphics and seat cover, new chain and sprockets, and other misc covers and accesories. This bike is an EXCELLENT trail machine, has lots and lots of low end power, but still has lots of top end, will lift the front end in every gear. If you are looking for a trail bike that will still rip on the track, you found it right here. let me know what you have, cant hurt for asking!! all cleaned up, before graphics

hey, im looking for a 2 seater go kart that rolls. needs to have decent brakes and tires, does NOT need to have an engine. i want to put a cr 80 engine into it, foot gas, brakes, and clutch pedals, and somehow rig up a shifting mechanism. i dont have much to spend so tell me what you have, or maybe you just want the damn thing out of your yard!! needs to be pretty close to NJ, thanks!!

how do i challenge you, im turkey642 on there..
-
well the thing is i really want to get rid of everything at once, and the whole "good motor" parts would be a big chunk out of what i have to sell
-
ya, no such thing as a "racing jet kit". your jets need to suit your specific bike and enviroment, not what some company gives you. give us the actual sizes of the jets and the needle postition and we will be albe to help you real easy.

ooooooh, i gotta check this shit out!! dont leave us hanging like this details please!!

i guess $100 plus shipping?

yes it is......for engines with like 80+ horsepower. if you notice your clutch slipping, then there is a problem with your clutch. it isnt a good idea to bandaid it with a $400 lock out system, the reasons are obvious. sure, its a good mod if you had the extra cash, but you should be much more worried about your suspension. this would probally be one of the last mods i ever do, you dont need it to go fast but it sure as hell doesnt hurt to have.
-
alot of people powder coat and anodize them. i dont know exactly how they mask off the insides since i have never done it, but it really cant be too hard. powder coating would probally be the easiest and cheapest of the 2, and will be very durable, not that your engine has to worry about anything other than rocks.
-
ya, a piped shee definally doesnt need a lockup. dont try to bandaid clutch problems with a lockup, just get a new clutch for like $80.

my banshee that i rebuilt when i had it ported has been running since december, it still has 150PSI which is what i had when i put it together. i have put lots of hours on the shee too, i have not babied it at all. im guessing i will need to rebuild it next winter, not this one coming up. it all depends on what my compression is at the time, when it drops to 130 im going to rebuild it, probally do a cosmetic makeover too.

if anyone is intrested, i will sell everything for $400. this includes a frame with A arms for a 86 lt250r, all of the parts mentioned in my first post except for the flywheel, stator, k & n filter, rear razr tires(rims are still here, though) and water pump cover. comes with 2 front razr tires on rims, and 2 rear rims with no tires. a full set of yellow lt250r plastics and seat, and a swingarm with a crack in it. also includes the metal pickup truck toolbox i keep all the parts in. there are more parts in the box that i have listed here. you have enough parts here to build a quad if you wanted to, you just need some motor parts and some other stuff you can buy on ebay. would be pretty cool platform to build a trick MX or trail quad

well, it made them soft right? i say it was a success!!!
-
you have the stock head? no milling? that sounds right for a ported bike with a totally stock head, that is what jim said. you need to either mill the head or get a noss head, i got the noss head because i had the cash and wanted some bling, i have 19cc domes and it brought me to 150PSI.

What mod provides the most punch for the money?
chris642 replied to oliver566's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
thats too hard, you know how hard it is to get that backing off sometimes..seriously, get some pipes, pro designs air filter, then porting, reeds, carbs, and then accesorries!! thats the fun part but gets $$$ real fast! -
just get the regular wesicos from rockymountainatv.com or something. if you are on stock bore, get .20 over pistons, give them and your cylinders to a machine shop, delaership, or whatever so they can bore and hone it to that piston. there is really no real diffrence between pistons, companies claim HP gains but most of that is bullshit. the only real diffrence between wesicos and stock is that you must warm the shee up real good before riding it since it is a forged piston. also becasue its a forged piston it is much stronger than stock, i got them in my shee, been running since december, still got 150 PSI from when i checked then to when i checked this week!!! thats durability
-
i have 150 PSI and run 93, pretty much any higher you should use race gas. pick up a compression tester, $30 well spent!!!
-
if your going to be riding for more than 10-15 hours i would go and do it now. me personally would do it now anyway and not risk it, but i have a bike to ride while my shee is down so i wont be out of comission. good luck, remeber, its always better to be safe than sorry!!

How much power with Rocket pipes?
chris642 replied to Killdmycobra's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
ya, definally go for cubs, throw a 4 mill crank and drag port and you should be around there. im hoping all your doing is drags, no way your getting 80+ HP in a bike you want to still be rideable in trails and woods. if you got the money, more power to ya!! -
probally around 45 HP give or take a few. +4 advance will probally give you an extra 2 HP, the lightened flywheel wont show any gains, just a much better feel, which is just as good.
