  1. Any degreaser will work..simple green...Make shure it won't eat rubber...Like if you sprayed it up with brakleen..It will clean it up and then some..Brakleen will eat right through the rubber seals.
  2. Air leak in the exhaust. Did you put those o-rings in the pipes before you put em on? Plugs look good right? You might not have a good seal.
  3. I used to run sunline..but I went to Mangura. Works like a charm..well after a few modifications that is.
  4. I had my bike bog out on me today...realized I just ran it too low on fuel. Filled her up and she ran like the champ she is.
  5. Yup I got rid of mine three years ago and I haven't had any overheating issues...Plus it makes the bike look a lot cleaner..less hoses going here and there.
  6. Well, the tighter you pack it, the better it feels..wait...I mean, you want to pull the core out to ensure a nice uniform wrap. If it's not packed right, it won't last long. You'll blow out packing material too soon..plus with AMA 104 Db limit..you want to make shure you got the best pack job you can. I use Moose packing simply because it's easiest to find.
  7. Is your front end stock? If it is you might have a bent tie rod. If it's aftermarket, you could have somthing out of adjustment. Check your castor and camber angles and chect your toe in and toe out as well. I had a problem for a while with my front end until I realized the upper a-arm heim joints were not ajusted properly..fixed that and it's been butter ever since. I still have my yardstick, protractor and tape mesure in my tool chest on my truck just in case I tweak somthing.
  8. I'm still running my dyna on the stock curve.
  9. On the beach? How often are you going to ride there. Beach sand is pretty dense so that stocker dirtbike tire will do...but if your going to make a habbit out of riding there..paddle tires would be a good investment.
  10. Neat trick..Somthing to try out.
  11. Shit, I'm already racing.
  12. One word Everclear You won't remember a thing. Now that your 21, you don't have to settle for cheap shit like 40's of old E and shlitz malt liqour. Hell Mad Dog 20/20 can hit the road too. Now it's time to take pride in what you drink.
  13. Yup I got my new terry cable thumb throttle today and spend about 6 hours modifing it to work right. It's simple in it's design, but it's lacking. I had to take the return spring out, remove the cable adjuster and file down the arm inside the housing to keep it from binding. It also sits in a different location then the stock and I had to move my front brake lever assembly in order to clear the brake's adjuster screw. Also the stop on the throttle does not have a lock nut and will vibrate loose. It has no idle adjuster and the lever itself sits in the wrong position. It is easier to pull though....now Terry cable's banshee throttle cable is another story..I'm going to have to mail that one back seeing as they have the wrong ends on it and it won't work with my Kehin pwk's. I'm not a happy camper right now and I don't think I'll be buying from them again.
  14. Did you offest the assend a bit lower to allow your heel to pivot better?
  15. Bones heal Trophy's last forever and chicks dig scars
  16. I cut my airbox off...no more gooey mess to deal with. I usualy just get an old plastic bag that's laying around in my truck frome somthing I bought during the week and wrap it around my filter.
  17. If I ride hard, I'll get about a 1/2 hour out of my tank. But my average is an hour 1/2.
  18. Why don't you try slipping the clutch in the corners. I'll carry a tall gear into a turn and just ride it out on the clutch to avoid shifting. If your shifting as much as you say you are, your not using your clutch as much as you could be...Take advantage of that lever. Smoke that clutch.
  19. AHH Fuckit..Hit that button and let her rip! Run that bitch to the ground! You can always rebuild later..Think of the fun..NITROUS...Some a fo tha machine...Some a fo me!
  20. Yeah, I broke my thumb once...Bummer..Three good weeks down the drain. That was a low point in my life....A thumb!! God why didn't I break a leg or arm and get a cool cast so hot chicks can sign it and give me sympathy...But you can score with a bum thumb..."Hey sweetie, check out this thumb I broke...yeah, it's got me bummed, I can't ride for a few weeks..Wanna f*ck? Let's go back to your place"
  21. MSD makes an ignition system along with a few other guys like FMF. The Dyna is easiest to install and it's cheaper then the stock cdi. Plus it's got a warrenty.
  22. Hope your not riding in an AMA sanctioned race...they won't let you ride over 200cc if your under 16. And you have to pass a test and the machine has to be stock. Just to let you know. But I wish you luck all the same, if your riding an open 2 stroke class race, remember, The guys next to you won't care how old you are, they'll run you over regardless. So be on your toes and watch the link, not the gate..when you see that badboy drop, It's balls out.
  23. Well, the new yamaha 450 will wind out close to 12,000 rpms....Banshee is good for 10,000..if it's modified. Yfz will make power all the way from the bottom to the top of the rpm range..Banshee won't make any real power till about 5,000 rpms, then wind out at 8,000...not a real big spread...hence why banshees are deemed peaky and hard to ride. Plus inherent design flaws in a two stroke motor will limit it's power...exhaust doesn't full exit before a fresh charge and fresh charge of air will escape out of the exhaust..all robbing power. Which is why two strokes will cease to be sold by 2005 or so..green peace air regulations bullshit. That is also why there has been a pig push forward in 4 stroke tech. Now pound for pound..CC to CC, nothing beats a two stroke. A 350cc two stroke will make gobs more power then a 350cc 4 stroke..but that 4 stroke will make a more even power curve..although the peak hp numbers are lower. Me personaly, I prefer the feel of a two stroke..they vibrate less and just sound better...That yfz 450..thing sounds like it's going to blow up when you rev up on it and vibrates like a mother fucker...It's somthing one has to get used to I suppose.
  24. I see I'm not the only one who uses two vise grips on the outside of the link to press it on...it works...but you got to get them on just right or you'll cock the plate and make it a real bitch.
