  1. ATCO raceway and raceway park at Englishtown. Atco has wen practice almost every wens. and races every other sunday or so. Englishtown doesn't race ATV's but they hold practices almost every other friday and sun. Now there is a place in Chatsworth that is legal to ride, but it cost 50 bucks..the tracks only charge 30..they have trails and 3 tracks..but the only good track you can't ride on as it's a dirtbike only track. They're oven 7 days a week I belive. It gets real crowded in chatsworth. There is a place called Sleepy Hollow MX..it's in penn somewhere..never been there so I don't know much about it. You can ride the mountains for free..people don't care. I used to do it all the time as a kid. I remember riding in the pine barrens as a kid..but now if you get caught..you could get jail time..plus a shit load of fines.
  2. Depends on what cdi your running. Stock cdi's will work with b8es, but aftermarket cdi's might malfunction. If you've got a totaly stock ignition system..b8es will work..but if your running aftermarket coil, cdi, or even plug boots..might want to run the r type spark plug.
  3. Dirtrider, Your dumb..that's all there is to it. Why would you even start a thread like this? I thought I might give you a little sympathy..but no, I'm not. I can't...hopefully you'll wise up and a good tip is when in trouble keep your mouth shut..you just incriminated yourself with the info you laid out here in a public forum. Never admit your wrong in a court of law..your innocent until PROVEN guilty...get a good lawyer.
  4. Well, it's called shirking responsabilities at the workplace.
  5. For off roading..I'd get a jeep..an old cj-7 would be ideal. I had an F-150..tough mother fucker. Now I got an E-350 van. One thing I hated about my pickup was the lack of weather protection the bed provided...that and the bed doubled as a dumpster for lazy fucks who can't walk the extra 5 feet down the parking lot.
  6. What happened? I'm no longer a pro!! Some how I lost like 50 posts to my name! Welp..it's back to kickin' ass in the amateur ranks!
  7. Banshee's don't use computers. CDI stands for capacitor discharge ignition. You can get aftermarket cdi's that will boost performance and are programable..AKA Dyna, FMF, MSD..even Yamaha's own gy-rt brand line. They all retail for less then the cost of a stock replacement.
  8. It's going to take me some time to get used to the new site's layout.
  9. Listen up...the best advice I can give is to throw down some cash...like 40 bones on a T.M. design works chain slider setup for the Shee......Mine is 4 years and still going strong no hassles what so ever. In fact..T.M. told me NOT to buy a new one and just run the old one I had...they stand 100% behind what they sell.
  10. No other ATV has such a loyal following then the yfz 350 yamaha Banshee. I guess only those that know.....KNOW!
  11. Shit, you should watch me race..I do shit like that all the time..hence why I don't win as much as I would like.
  12. No dude, oil them both. Filter will not work without oil. Dirt will pass through. Always..if you care about the well being of your engine..Always oil your filters..both layers even your K&N's. Open pore foam type filters depend on the oil to sit in the cavities of the foam and trap dirt as it works it's way into the filter. Withoil the oil, dirt will eventualy find a way through and into your motor, cloging up your carbs, getting into your crank bearings sandblasting everything inside and causing premature wear on every part inside that motor.
  13. Well Milo, When I ride, and I get a wiff of somebody's exhaust, that right there wil tell alot on how they take care of their machines. A good smelling exhaust that's running right on the money let's me know that this guy means buissiness...but on the other hand a mosquito fogger rich on the verge of oil fouling exhaust..This guy's a joker and doesn't know his shit. Plus you can determine all sorts of issues from someone exhaust..burnt clutch plates, bad gaskets.burning oil, burning coolant, motor's tired, running lean, running rich..ext. All this from a 2 sec wiff of somebody passing by.
  14. I figured it out after the first one.
  15. From the Arm or the spindle? You can't remove the ball joints from the A-arms but you can remove them from the spindles. You got to buy a ball joint removal tool..there are two types.one looks like a fork..that will tear your seals up..but it's fast. The other looks like a 2 or 3 jaw gear puller..only smaller. This one takes a while and can damage the balljoint shaft if done wrong.
  16. Fisrt step is to make shure the ports are smooth and free of burrs...did they hone it after the port job? Next step is to put raw premix oil and coat the cylinder walls then check for any hangups by turning the motor by hand. While your at it, check to make shure the pistons don't exceed the maximum TDC hight above the cylinders. After that's all done double check the ring gap then bolt the head on. Check to make shure the pistons won't hit the spark plug then mix yourself a nice tank of 16:1 gas..well only a gallon. Run that for 2 min or so with the choke on then kill the motor. Check for leaks and coolant flow. Then start it back up and idle it for another 5 min with the choke on making SHURE you don't overheat the motor. after you idle it for the five min or so, double check your oil and coolant levels, pull the plugs to make shure you not lean..you want to be SUPER rich like at the point of oil fouling when you break a motor in. After you've made shure everything is good, idle the bike around your yard with the choke on until you use up the remaining fuel. Next mix yourself up a nice 32:1 mix or whatever you normaly run and start it up..idle it for 2-3 min with the choke on and check the plugs making shure your not lean. Now run the 1 gallon of gas out by idling around your yard with the choke on..after that, mix up your fuel again and run it for 2 min..with the choke off making shure your not lean..then hammer down..well take it easy for a bit and gradualy work up to full throttle paying close attention to the motor and how it's behaving.
  17. My buddy and I have been at this for a while. It's still on the drawing boards but we have a few designs that we belive will work...but how to machine a small twin rotor supercharger...that's what's holding us up. There are a few blowers out there for 5hp briggs and stratton motors..but they are ungodly huge and won't fit. If you put the carbs on the intake portion of the supercharger..you don't have to worry about pressurization issues.
  18. All that I run now is the D.I.D. 520 X-ring gold chain..It's on the pricey side of like 80+ bones, but when your bike puts enough power to tear lugs off of brand new tires on the first run on loose dirt and your chain last longer then the sprockets..I think it's worth it's weight in gold. You still need to run chain lube as water will get into the rollers and corrode them up..plus It keeps the chain looking new even after a year. D.I.D. is the best chain on the market in my opinion. I doesn't streach much..It will a little, but after a day and you adjust it right, you'll be good for the rest of the year. Non-O-ring chains will last like 2 races and they're shot. They streach, break and just wear out too damn fast.
  19. The seeds are in the coarse outer foam? That's OK. If you can't get them out, don't sweat it. If they're stuck in the fine inner foam, remember, the proflow has 2 layers of fine foam, so long as it isn't poking through to the inside you'll be ok.
  20. PJ1 is the best stuff out there. Bellray makes some good filter oil..but PJ1 is better. You use the sprat can right? That can makes oiling a hell of a lot easier with less waste. I use rubber gloves when I oil my filter. The problem with just using regular oil is that it will settle and drip off the filter...If you don't service it regularly you will suck dirt. PJ1 has much better adherance to the filter and it's sticky nature traps way more dirt then regular oil could ever hope too. Plus PJ1 has some water resistance and allows the water to just bead up and roll off...but don't saturate the filter with water. Oiling a filter will always be a pain in the ass..your just going to have to get used to it. I clean and oil my filter before every ride..so If i ride sat and sun..I clean my filter on sat and on sunday. Never ride on a dirty filter.
  21. Don't sell yourself short! Stick it to the man..If they don't like you tell em' to f*ck off! You got skills, exploit them and be confident that you will get the job.
  22. Yeah, the dualies are very rare. I just checked mine out. I'm pissed...Gonna beat that salesmen with a sock full of quarters.
  23. Why does that bother you? Look the other way if you don't like it or ask them to stop. Neal and bob obviously have feelings for each other..Why's it so diffrent then you and your girl doing the same thing? This double standard bullshit has got to go.
  24. It's oil with yamaha's name on it..they want you to run it at 24:1. If you run it at 32:1 and try to get your shee on a warrenty replair, Yamaha will laugh at you.
