  1. 0000 steel wool. Mothers to shine em up.
  2. I use the UNI 2:1 w/outerwear and have never had a problem. Flows good too.
  3. I started out on dirtbikes until I went to the dunes in Florence and Winchester Bay and got hooked then bought a shee. The conversion for me was way easy and I'd never go back to thumb. I feel I have more throttle control with a twist. If you are not used to them however it can get you in a sticky situation where you might end up on your back as your shee speeds away. Woops are hard with a twist if you arent accustomed to it because the motion of your bike can force you to nail the throttle which can potentially cause a wipe out. Either way, I love mine and have never had a problem with it.
  4. Every time I read one of DucheRiders posts I feel like I lose a few more brain cells. Please can we just get him outta here before I start to sound as dumb as him!
  5. I just installed the TR-6's this week. Running with .020 over wiseco's, pod filter w/outerwear, boyesen reeds, TORS eliminated, running the 280 mains, needle on 4th clip position, and 25 pilots, runs great, snappy throttle response on the bottom and unreal response in mid and top. No problems yet with about 5 hours on the shee. I am at 300 feet and about 90 degrees average temp right now. Hope this is of some value.
  6. Not scared of much except careless people with guns and real fat women.
  7. Running always sounds good but to outrun a cop is different than outrunning Mr. Motorola. If you can hit the trails you're definitely going to outrun the popo but if its not possible to get off road, GOOD LUCK! Banshee's are fast and I'm pretty confident on mine but the speed of them walkie talkies makes me a little nervous.
  8. I looked too and I know they dont. If you want to run wiseco pistons you will need .020 over. Its half a millimeter over stock then they offer .25 millimeter incriments after the intital .50 oversize.
  9. You could use split loom and some electric tape. This will give it a much cleaner look than just taping the wires. I did it to mine and it looks smooth!
  10. Just did that myself. I also eliminated the TORS on my 87 shee. The spring does not need to come off unless you plan on switching needles which I would suggest doing. I did exactly what the directions said to do and everything turned out perfect. There is a washer under the main jet so be careful not to lose them. Just keep everything clean and you might as well clean out the carbs and pressure test the float valves while your in there. With Toomey's set up the bike starts up first kick, I'm a little rich running the 280 mains but I just put a new top end in it and I would rather be rich than lean when breaking it in. Hope this helps.
  11. The lid with the outerwear is a good way to go. Those lids repel just about everything. I cannot remember who makes it but I would run that lid setup over the drilled holes if you are worried about protection and keeping power. I run a pod filter with an outerwear as its only protection and I have yet to encounter a problem. Hopen this helps.
  12. I think I read that correctly but it dont make no sense. Something wrong with that picture!
  13. I'm not, just stock CDI. Looks like I'll go with the B8ES. Thanks guys.
