  1. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Built a new computer, installed 1 gigabyte ram. 1 card = 512 and two others equaling 256 each. Machine runs like a charm but when checked system stats it reads 256 ram. It seems to be hanging up on memory intensive programs. The mother board supports up to 3 GB ram. I tried all sticks by themselves, and swapped them all into different slots to no avail. It still says 256. Even with only one 512 chip in, it says 256 mb. Had ram checked and I was told they wroked perfectly and that there is nothing wrong with the ram sticks, also all sticks are same brand! any thoughts?
  2. thanks for the responses, i usually do let it warm anyway but i see me being in a rush could cause more damage than its worth, thanks for your thoughts.
  3. Starting my banshee in the cold days of winter means letting the machine warm up before riding. Depending on the tempature, this might take up to five minutes while everyone else is ready to take off. Is there any product or trick you guys use to keep motor warm over night or cut down on warm up time. thanks.
  4. The goverment has given these corporations till 06 to reduce 2 cycle emissions by 75%. It can be done with things like fuel injection , exhaust scrubbers. Most snowmobiles and water craft will remain 2 cycle til atleast 2009-2010, i can't see yamaha investing the money in keeping alive the banshee program though.
  5. This is probably an easy question for someone with a little more banshee exp. than me. On the factory silencers i removed the three screws at the rear of the muffler and pulled out what i guess is called the spark arrestor. This leaves a large hollow hole, and alters the sound just a little bit. My question is will running my banshee(all stock) like this in any conditions hurt performance, or the motor in any way. Will I have jetting problems as a result of the added flow. Anyone who has tried this or knows the answer feel free to post up. thanks.
  6. so they say it is beneficial to remove it and it causes problems, well i want to what is it, where is it. and what does it do for my stock banshee. any comments would be appreciated.
  7. anyone from these areas know of any legal place to ride, even if it isn't free, i'm tired of running from popo all the time. i heard there may be a place in the pine barrens but i am not sure.i also don't want to go as far north as the poconos. thanks.
