Do it yourself, most shops charge about 75 an hour and get paid by the book, they are not going to spend more than what they can charge for so they are going to get it rich enough not to blow and collect your money.
I have ridden there about 10 times. Back when I lived in north Florida it was about a 2 hour drive. The place is not as big as it used to be they hauled off the sand from the large dunes and built a car lot in one corner of the property. It is about 300 acres of riding area and if you are close it is worth the trip.
Definately running lean, I run the 280 mains and 30 pilots on the east coast at sea level on stock motor with k&n clamp ons and run fine, but people on the west coast run bigger jets to get correct jetting.
Ct is popular for honda engines but they build banshee engines also, I've ridden with a guy that had a honda 250r and a 330 ct kit and it was very fast.
I have always been told cold cranking compression is the correct reading. A banshee will run with about 100 psi compression and if your cylinders read more than 10 psi difference rebuild. I don't beleive the plug color will change from a fresh topend to a worn out one.
It is a possibility that after running a while the coil gets hotter and your spark weakens. Buy a spark tester they are only like 8 bucks and check your spark when cold and warm up the bike good and check again. You can spend a lot of money swapping parts.
I hate to hear that, it could have been any one of us at any given time no matter how good you can drive you have to look out for everybody else around you also.
Advances the timing to take advantage of higher octane fuel. Maybe someone else will chime in about the sparking before combustion thing and explain more scientific.
Check out Busco beach in Goldsboro, I've been once and planning on going back this weekend. It is a relaxed place to ride with pits and hill climbs and trails. It is about 1200 acres. The website is buscobeach.com
Getting sleeves installed will cost you big bucks, but your back to stock bore and have a several rebuilds left so in the long run is not a bad idea. Cost wise you will be better off buying another set of cylinders.
