  1. Yes these will give you more traction, run them backwards to where the tread is biting not cleaning and play with the air pressure. These are good for straight line running, keep your other tires for riding and sliding curves cause that is the advantage of the flat tires.
  2. I thought about lining up my paddles once just for looks but had no performance problem. Everyone talked me out of it cause from the parking area to the sand bed was hard ground with grass and it would have made the ride across it harder.
  3. Sounds like an air leak or slides sticking.
  4. I was also thinking reeds, I just had the same problem. One side would not put out much exhaust and would come alive on top end. If swapping the reeds from one cylinder to the other does not work swap the coil wires. Another thing that can be overlooked is the spark plug tops can unscrew, that is why some people run solid top plugs.
  5. I hated the stock grips and was given a set of foam grips to try and I loved them. They are very comfortable but they are larger around and wear out pretty quick. They are cheap, so if you don't mind changing them they are not bad.
  6. I moved my needle clip down to the 4th from the top and it runs worse after idle up to top end.
  7. Thanks, I will try that and give an update on the results.
  8. If you want bigger power from intake ports go with vito's they are made by wiseco.
  9. I did mine a couple of years ago by looking at before and after pictures someone posted on here, great mod.
  10. The 4 snow is an awesome drag tire soft or hard surface, you can adjust your air pressure depending on traction. The razr type tires are great for trail riding and mx but not the best drag tire.
  11. The stock grips have a plastic spacer bushing that goes over the bar before the grips go on.
  12. I can go up one more clip on the needle. It seems like a hesitation and not spit and sputter. If I pull the clutch to try and rev up for a launch it will not rev up, I used to be able to rev all the way up until if I held it it would keep building. It is hard to explain, this is my first time trying to get jetting dialed in. The problem is mostly when at half throttle.
  13. TDR reeds are the best for the money, $38 bucks for a complete set and port your stock cages. You will feel the difference.
  14. Try cleaning the carb slides first, if that does not work I would put my money into new carbs. As far as the radiator, just get used to working on the bike and spending money on it. Most people sale their bike because they get tired of spending money on them.
  15. I would tear it down, something come loose. It could be something minor and cause something major.
  16. I'm running stock needles and can move the clip up 1 more and will be at the top. I dropped the main to a 300 and it improved. The main problem is between idle and getting into the power band. Once in the power band it runs well. If I pull the choke out halfway it runs worse.
  17. Send me an email and when I get the chance I will send back a picture.
  18. I don't have a picture to post but I have the +2 brake lines and stock a-arms and there is not to much slack. 2 inches is not a lot.
  19. With the 32 pilots it starts up first kick and idles real good, with the 30 pilots you have to crack the throttle and it will not idle by itself. With the stock pistons I set it up exactly by yhe toomey instructions and it ran great without any tuning required.
  20. Go with the t5's you want be dissapointed.
  21. If you just want more bottom end have the head milled and spend the rest of your money on more mods. If your having cooling problems get the cool head.
  22. The choke tube is hooked up, I got it starting and idling good now just cant get it running right in the midrange. Once I get to top end it screams. I went from stock pistons to .20 over vito's super stocks. The intake ports on the pistons are larger than what I had.
  23. If you want to drag gear it to start off in 2nd. 1st is a waste in drag because you have to shift to early and take the chance of hitting neutral.
  24. So if I move the needle clip all the way up and still rich on mid range should I go down on the main jet. When I pull the choke out half way it does run worse.
  25. With stock 14-41 gearing I felt like I wound out to early, then I put on 15-41 and got less wheel spin and gained a lot of top speed. Now I'm running 15-42 and have a little better bottom and enough top end left to.
