it did score the cylinder wall a little. i was looking into getting new sleeves but i do not know if i want to go backwards to stock sleeves or go with big bore sleeves. yeah i was looking at the cheetah monoblocks but dam they are expensive. i see big bore sleeves on ebay for 89.95 each. i was thinking of doin that and going with 68mm pistons. i just don't know what to do.
I Blew the top end on my shee. it was at .090. some ppl have told me not to go to .100 cause of overheating issues.
just wanted some advice on if that is true or not.
ok elevation close to sea level in miami, fl. compression i don't know whatever will make it run good, i want primarily a trail bike and every now and then spank someone in a drag race.
i bought a banshee in march blew it up in june and know getting ready to rebuild.
it had 66mm pistons minor poirting and 21cc domes in a duncan power head.
i am going with 66.25mm pistons might get vforce reeds or boysen and i was wondering what size domes( i was thinking 19 or 20cc)
input please.
that is correct title needed plus a fifty daollar permit for a year. a bunch of us are planning a group ride to ocala in nov. not sure what dates are but will keep you guys posted.
thanks. well last night i finally figured out what size pistons i have in the thing. they are 66mm or .080 over. i was in shock cause the bike did not go that fast. so i beleive i only have 2 bores left till i have to re sleeve the cyl. correct?
i found a set of wiesco .090 should i use that? i think it will be 66.25mm or should i just go to the max and make it 66.50mm?
as he said above. that's what i did. and what do ya know i went thru the top end and now am going to bore and port new reeds and i already had a duncan power head on it with t-5's. it was running in the mid 80's before. i am a big guy. 260lbs.
