  1. ten minutes from the dunes eh... would be crazy.
  2. billet because everyone can see it right? just go to Rickystator.com and pay $35 and PM Boonman in the mean time to set up lightening your flywheel why its off.....
  3. just curious if anyone lives there, I was born and raised there, but live in San Diego, last 15 years...
  4. racing up a hill or flat ground? put a six-teen tooth front sprocket on the front... you will walk away from him..
  5. I thought I would just get everything from trailtech, speedometer, clamp, and bars...so what bend is good? I also have a clarke 5.5 gal tank, so a low bend might interfere? I don't know
  6. I am thinking of getting the trailtech computer fat bars clamp etc. but don't know what bend to get (low, medium, or high) I am okay with the stock banshee bars (04), also are these bars ay good? maybe I should get the pro-tapers instead? anyone with experience with the x-bars?
  7. check out" hi-flite" seats, they make a desert seat that is a couple inches thicker, for banshees and 250R probably the new stuff too.
  8. you could use a handful of hose clamps about the size of radiator hose
  9. 45 minutes? I should be so lucky....ocotillo wells is about 1 1/2 - 2 hours....everything else is either closed course for dirt-bikes, or private property...
  10. well, after about two years my buddy got his 2001 KX 500 back after it was stolen...not too bad a shape either...about a month ago in Arizona, and last Wednesday another buddy of mine got a call from the cops saying they found his banshee after about a year it was also in Arizona... so next time you see a cop give em a high five/hand salute whatever is appropriate... in Arizona anyways they are doing their job and then some...
  11. It also depends on compression...so someone w/10 degrees and stock compression may be able to run like 87 octane (I doubt it but...) where as, I have a shaved head .030" and eight degrees timing... it "pings" on 91 octane. but I get away w/octane boost you can gete any automotive store, fairly cheap, well cheaper than race fuel anyways, like ten bucks worth to treat ten gallons maybe...but it works for me, no more pinging...
  12. yeah you need the specs for the pick up, can't say for sure, but maybe like .021" clearance? check the manual....and I did the same thing all at once, but also added a milled head .030" and went about eight degrees...
  13. how about paul turners, or out of frame drag pipes...
  14. Air box? yes/no 260/280 respectively would be a good start any other mods?
  15. I can only imagine how terrible that exhaust sounds, and RAVEN? that sounds like a Midas muffler to me?
  16. I use redline in all my bikes (2 strokes anyway) I run 50:1 in my mixers, and it works bitchin in injectors too, (LT 50, Yamaha zuma, Blaster etc.) My CR 500 is an 88 with stock top-end still in it. and my Banshee is an 04 (bought new in 03) you do need to break in a motor with non synthetic oil however after that it's great stuff. I also use the redline shockprook gear oil in the tranny, shifts nice and smooth, no clutch slip (that I can feel)and no problem finding neutral, and it's a cool blue color. and lastly I use the redline water wetter in the radiators... less smoke and the pipes stay cleaner than with Yama Lube
  17. I have an 02 silverado with the 4.8 v-8, I added JBA headers, and a 3" cat back exhaust with 2 chamber flowmaster, stock exit single exhaust, this is supposedly the best setup, for performance gains also I have the FIPK K&N filter and Superchips programming, before I added 4:10 gears, I could get 23 MPG on the highway.a few months ago, I got Bilstein shocks, front and rear, great improvement.
  18. so can I just bolt on my reservoirs, and charge them up to spec?
  19. great job, excellent work had my head, and flywheel trimmed up just right, and quick turn around too.
  20. I am +10 w/.030" off the head and lightened flywheel, also K&n Filters (clamp on) w/toomey t-5 pipes and 300 main jets and 27.5 pilots at sea level on pump gas.... it does ping a little on china wall (Glamis) but Ocatne Boost takes care of it. I also pull 15-41 gears... Don't be afraid to add compression/timing...Banshees love it.
  21. looking for top speed, I would recommend a 16 tooth front sprocket with paul turner mids... I ran this setup and was able to pull sixth and it was scary fast... no radar gun but gotta be close to triple digits, oh yeah I also had holeshot xct tires on it (23" front/22" rear)
  22. what air box? lid/no lid clamp on filters? if stock with a lid I woud say 270-280 mains, stock needle/pilot, I ran similar setup at 5500 feet, with 270 mains and back to 300 at sea-level... also what oil/and ratio are you running?
  23. you say he just moved tyo your location? was he say perhaps at sea-level and now at 7,000 feet or some silly thing, maybe to fat for the elevation
  24. I run the holeshot xct front and rear in San Felipe, for four seasons now, with no flats and they still hook good, I like the extra clearance alsoI ride proably 100 miles per year on them...still look new, and about twenty miles a year on asphalt maybe more...kinda pricey, but I really like them.
  25. I have seen them for sale, check the back of "dirt-wheels" maybe there...I have a buddy with one it holds more than my clarke 5.5 gallon, I think it is an even six! but he says he doesn't like it because it catches the sun too much and blinds him while riding it....something to think about. it does look cool.
