I see them on e-bay all the time for $115 a piece.....don't know the brand or quality, but am considering trying them out?
-
I also had problems with them, you know the ads that we all lok at in "dirt-wheels" magazine, or wahtever, well they had an advertised price of $xxx.xx I don't remember how much, so I called to order them, being the cheapest tires I found, the guy taking my order told me that since it was saturday, eithe I have to pay full pop, regular price, or call back during the week M-F so they could verify the price I was seeing i nthe magazine, they were just too busy on a Saturday to help me out...no problem, now I get all my stuff online from www.rockymountainatv.com, and I get it in three-four days, in San Diego....and it's usually cheaper than Chaparrals advertised prices...

Synthetic Injector oil
slowpokebanshee replied to loganskinner's topic in General Banshee Discussion
what brand of oil was it? I run Redline oil, and it is okay to run pre-mix, or injected. -
28:1 ? what type oil? I think with your setup....not to include any portwork you may or may not have, I would start out at 280 mains w/stock pilots, needle in the middle...and do a plug chop... to see what is going on....I run T-5 pipes with clamp on filters at 50:1 redline oil and 87 octane fuel on a stock bike.....27.5 pilots, stock needle, and 280 mains, I am running a little on the rich side. at sea-level...remember lean is mean, and rich lasts for-ever./...

well, I have to admit, when my pal, said he was gonna upgrade his plastics on his 93' to "raptor" style, I said to my self (what a homo) but last weekend (thanksgiving) he showed up with it all white, with a "captain-America theme" and well it didn't look bad, for one it didn't look like a banshee...."BAD", lose points there, but with the red, white and blue I couldn't justify not letting him ride with us....at least I gotta hand it to "Maier" there plastics are finally shiny... looked like factory stuff...can't argue with the original banshee plastics...too tough, and you can recognize it from a mile unlike all these hot rod four strokes.....long live the ring-a-ding-ding two-strokesand according to my local dealership....no change in plastics, through the demise of the worlds greatest two-stroke quad....

hey, I just had the same problem about a week ago, got some used T-5s and no idea how to hang the silencers, I checked E-bay, got a set of shiny silencer hangers for $25 billet aluminum etc. I think the brand was rmw? ,something like that, came with hardware too, looks real nice mounted up.they were listed specifically for toomey silencers
-
wow, another question would be porting if any? timing? I have T-5s clamp on K&Ns 15 tooth front/stock rear41? 27.5 pilots, stock needle position, 280 main jets and run 50:1 Redline/87 octane fuel (more than enough octane, stock compression/timing) no portwork done (yet)

I am getting ready to go to Ogilby for T-day, and am curious what to expect for a season pass this year, last year it was $90, I have heard that they ahve lowered the fees, and I have heard they have raised the fees, can anyone say for sure, who has been there? what a season pass will cost me.????

don't know the effectiveness, of it, but I have been "pondering" the idea of maybe adapting a CPU fan to the back of my radiator, they have a pretty light draw, and are very thin/small, maybe run a pair of them, with out modifying the stator...etc. you can get these fans very cheap, but don't know if they would have any effect.?

I am running 27.5 pilots, stock needle, and 280 MJ's, sea-level, with clamp on filters...hope it helps

I recently acquired some T-5s but when I tried to bolt them up, I noticed the Silencers, have a small mounting hole, and the mounting hole near the grab bar, is large, leading me to believe that there is some sort of "hanger" required? the pipes I got used so ,I need to purchase whatever is required to mount these up properly. thank you

I appreciate the advise on where to get work done etc. but does anyone know how to properly adjust for sag? when I do get a new spring/re-valve, or will it just be ready to bolt on when I get it back....
-
I just put on a set of works dual rate, w/out rezzies, and they work great. i pounded them on a washboard road for about five miles big whoops, and they never faded, but my thumb did....I was tapped out fourth-fifth gear taking two at a time, I was impressed. used set off E-bay 100 bucks, sent to works to be rebuilt 140 bucks....sure beats elkas, and axis prices....
-
hey I have done a search, and can't find any info on set-up for suspension sag, any one help me out? I have works dual rates on the front that seem to work real well, but I can't seem to get the rear shock to work like I want...I think mostly it's a pre-load thing, so if I se-up my sag, properly, then I can make adjustments rebound/compression. or should I just send it in to works, tcs, axis, etc. to be revalved/sprung for my weight... I am #195, and do mostly dunes, some desert riding, rarely jump, higher than a couple feet. the bike is an 04, so the shock should be in pretty good shape, less than 20 hours.... thanks for any advice.

okay I am convinced, how much to lighten my flywheel...

Just got a set of PT Mids off Ebay.
slowpokebanshee replied to sredish's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I spent all last week at sealevel jetting my bike with PT mids,I came up with one up on the pilots(27.5), and 280 MJ, needle stock, in stock position...I have clamp on K&N filters, and a 15 tooth CS sprocket. rips around pretty good now. explodes off the bottom. and actually pulls pretty good all the way up...next trip I will put on my T-5 pipes and compare... -
paul turner mids, w/stock silencers....nice quiet, crisp, ping, ping, kapingaping.
-
I got some MSR system x boots about five years ago, holding up great, they are actually made by alpine stars (says on the bottom) but much cheaper I think I paid a buck and a half for them new...I did break a buckle, and the shop sold me buckles for alpine star tech 4 I believe and they work fine.

I looked into it quite some time ago, there was a setup on E-bay, can't remember who made it, but seems like a simple design, fuel pump was driven by the waterpump, with some sort of different cover, looked like a clean install, I will do some digging, and see what I can find...

I run 20x10x10 haulers w/10 scoops , on absically stock bike....wish I would have gotten eight, lugs the motor pretty good, any one want to trade?

Fastest Automatic quad...
slowpokebanshee replied to PolyKarbon's topic in General Banshee Discussion
A couple of years ago I too had that problem , and I bought my wife the most powerful automatic bike (at the time)I could get it was the Kawasaki Lakota, 300, it was okay after going up a couple teeth on the CS sprocket, but I finally got her to do "the clutch thing" I bought a Warrior, and installed a 12 tooth front sprocket, anyone that has ridden a warrior knows, extreme bottom end, so now you can pretty much dump the clutch in sixth gear, at an idle and not stall it, she "digs" it, and pretty much keeps it in third all around (Glamis) for duning, and uses the clutch to start, she thinks it is much easier to get up the hills with the power, than the automatic, only bad thing, was I had to ride the Lakota the rest of the season, til I could buy the Banshee. don't worry I took a huge loss when I sold the Lakota to buy the Banshee due to the new 700. -
Paul Turner Mids vs T-5's which better?
slowpokebanshee replied to xtremebanshee's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I have a set of pt mids, and a set of T5's, neither of which I have run, but next month starts our "season" and I will let you know what I think of each pipe. in comparison. we ride some in Mexico, San-Felipe desert riding, (I will use the mids) and Glamis I plan to use the toomeys. -
I hate to admit it,but I need help!
slowpokebanshee replied to Nightrider's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I agree, pull the pilots, and see if they are full of "grtape-jelly" or something. happens all the time to me, cheap gas, and sits too long in the float bowls, been told though if you run race gas it will not "gel" in the bowls, or go bad? any one else know of any truth to this?
