I am looking for some spindles, anyone know of aftermarket company that makes them?
-
I have an 02 silverado w/4.8 (yes its a v-8) and I have JBA headers w/cat back 3" pipe w/flowmaster 40 series muffler and 3" tailpaipe. you want loud this is the way to go....personally I hate the "dron" you get at about 2500 rpm, like pulling a trailer or something....I want to change to a spintech muffler, sounds like a flowmaster, but w/out the droning. and I also noticed a slight increase in mileage.

Getting TORS kit, Idle Screw Help..
slowpokebanshee replied to Capone's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
don't forget to grind the idle screw boss on the carb, or the idle screw, will not reach the slide to lift it. I believe Toomey has a "how-to" on their web site, don't be afraid to grind those carbs, I remember taking off quite a bit of material, before I could get the screws to lift the slides... -
I have the factory white tank plastic, from my 2004, I put a desert tank on it when new. so I don't need it. what's it worth to you?
-
I have stock porting, w/toomeys and clamp on filters, and a shaved head (.030"), +8 timing, and a lightened flywheel ....probably porting this summer....when is it necessary to weld the crank?
-
they are not "standard" shocks thay are also works, and I just had them rebuilt a few months ago...just want to add reservoirs...
-
I just got rid of my smooth buffs, had to give them away, only thing they were good for, was when your duning and your buddy's Honda breaks down, you have a nice soft spot to sit on and drink a beer while he looks for that missing bolt in the sand. I bought the dune trakkers I think, little heavier but way worth it.... before I had 10 scoop straight blade haulers, with smooth buff fronts, now I run the trakkers in front, and eight scoop edges in ther rear.....hate to say it's better, but it's definately a different riding style, befor ewith the smoothies, I would use the rrear to steer, you know slide it and power out, now I can use the front to steer, which is a lot less work. my wife's bike has mohawks, and she did not notice a difference from the knobbys that were on it before...just keep the ITP\ youll be happier

in my understanding, the shocks w/out reservoirs have the gas/oil mixed "emulsion" where as the reservoirs keep the oil/gas seperate, so are the internals of the shock different? if it's just the matter of bolting them on no problem nitrogen is cheap. anyone know? also looking for a rear shock spring for stock shock, I am about 200 lbs.
-
I have a set of dual rate works shocks, just recently rebuilt, w/out reservoirs, and my buddy gave me a set of dual rate w/reservoirs, that are set up for +3 arms, and have leaking seals. my question is: would it be easier to take the reservoirs and add them to the shocks I am using, or have the shocks w/res rebuilt for stock arms? anyone have experience adding reservoirs to non reservoir shocks?

I run +8 with no problems, I do run octane boost though with a shaved head (.030") w/out the octane boost, i experienced mild detonation, on some larger hills at Glamis,

flip it upside down, balanced on the seat/handle bars, spray brakleen w/both hands, while cranking the motor over by hand and most of the stuff should come out....hopefully anything else will blow out the exhaust when it starts up...I have done this a few times, to avoid splitting the case, and never had a problem...but ...it's your call.
-
well, I ended up running a 13-41 set up and went up to 300 mains, I will try 320 next trip/season, and see what happens. I like the gearing, I was pulling fifth up the hill....

anyone? anyone? I know I have heard more than once, the fancy Toomey needles are just blaster needles? either that or vito's ? someone help I want to order nerw needles...
-
what are the needles from vito's? I remember a while ago, someone saying that either toomey or vito's used stock blaster needles and sold them for top dollar???? anyone heard of this? will blaster needles work? is it a good idea?
-
My little brother just picked up a fairly nice used banshee it's an 01, with pro-circuits, and open air box with pro-design foam filter, we were at glamis over Easter, and it sounded kinda lean runnin' up the hill. so I pulled it apart, and found 220 mains in it.... so I put 280 mains in it, but during the process, I bent the right hand side needle (damn TORS) straightened it best I could, and got it to run real good, ( now he beats me up the hill) but he wants to replace the "damaged needles" I heard from somewhere that the blaster needles are a good improvement...? anyone have any experience? thanks, and what jetting are you guys running with similar setups? I just jetted it close to what I run with toomeys...
-
you should be able to bolt up the stock silencers to keep it quiet...if you don't mind the looks...

no one has seen these on e-bay and taken a chance???

slowpokebanshee replied to yamahajunky38's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum

slowpokebanshee replied to jeepin247us's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum

slowpokebanshee replied to jeepin247us's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I built a Warrior similar to yours for my wife, so let me know if you need anything, I have a bunch of different main jets also, I believe I ended up going one up on the pilot, and a 165 main jet stock needle position. runs great, if you need main jets to try out ask me I will send them out if I have the size. what I do remember is that therer is a chicken shit ground on or near the reverse lever, and if it is loose or corroded, your ignition system cuts in and out.? maybe check that... -
I am also interested? In teh quality of asr arms? of any size?
-
had this problem before when I bought new gas cans.....the nice quick fill ones, had plastic in them that did not get rinsed out, and my fuel tank does not have the "screen" so I ended up getting some plastic shavings in my pilot jet....just pull out all four jets and blow through with compressed air/carb cleaner etc. make sure thay flow, while you are in there you can figure out what size jets are in it
-
okay so this is waht I am gonna do: go to a 12 tooth front with 300 main jets... I do not have 13 just 12, 14, and 15, and I have 280, mains w/290, and 300 in the tool box. we will see what happens at Easter, anyone going to Ogilby?
