  1. how about those new fox air shox? anyone run them or heard anything? I'll post a new topic
  2. I have ran root-beer, and pina colada, the root beer works good, couldn't really smell the pina colada, it covers the two-stroke smell real well, I usuallylead our group at Glamis, and my mother gets "sick" sniffing the usual exhaust from my bike, so I tried it out kinda as a joke, but it is pretty cool. pricey, but cool, and btw, I do not think it is an octane booster...
  3. thanks for the advise, is there any other places that will work on works shocks?
  4. I would like to rebuild/spring my rear shock, and I have two sets of front works shocks, one set is dual rate w/out rezzys, that I had rebuilt last year at Works, they are a little soft, the other set is dual rate w/rezzys, that are way stiff, (set-up for +3 arms,)I weigh almost #200, so I think the rear spring should be changed, I dont know about valving, the front would I be better off adding remotes to the ones I rebuilt, and re-valving them, or have the ones with rezzys, re-built and revalved, sprung etc.? works charged me $130 last year to replace seals, change oil and charge the front shocks, is that too much? an yadvise would be appreciated, thanks, maybe I just need a spring for the rear?
  5. can't lose with 22's..... extra inch helps with less than exotic suspension, I used to run the 21x7x10 smooth buffs, looks sweet, don't turn for nothin', really like the 22x8x10 ribbed for her pleasure.
  6. I would rather trade for other banshee related stuff, but I guess cash is okay...what are they worth to you?
  7. I have t-5's on it now, like them okay, maybe interested in drag pipes or something w/more top-end, thanks
  8. good luck, I have been trying to get my PT mids chromed, nobody wants to do a used pipe, for any price to avoid contamination, of the tanks etc. but am thinking about ceramic coating, looks nice, and will not rust. etc.
  9. I have a set of paul turner mids, w/about ten hours on em, they are raw NOT CHROME, but clean no dents etc. the silencers are kinda ugly, dented, welded, repairs etc. willing to trade for other stuff, a-arms , maybe a cool head, shocks, your girl-friend??,whatever, let me know if anyone wants/interested in them, maybe trade stuff.
  10. www.cameltoe.com www.ratemycameltoe.com both pretty good sites,
  11. that motor has a power valve doesn't it? if so good power for MX
  12. PT mids....
  13. pt mids....love them, I ran 27.5 pilots, with 280 mains, with a stock motor, and clamp on K&N filters, 15 tooth front,at sea-level, perfect set-up, then I went and put on these T-5 toomeys (they look nice) and now I think the bike is slower, seems like no more top-end, then the PT's but lots less lowend/mid range (hence the name) then the PT mids...I guess it's time to port, add compression, timing, etc. the toomeys do look bitchin....
  14. I am looking for a dune port ( I think) I ride mostly Glamis, high speed duning, with some action out at "Olds" I have a "flyer" for DASA that will do a Dune port $300 bucks, anyone used them? or have any info about them??? so far that is the only one I have looked into for port work, any recommendations? currently: clamp on k&n filters, toomey T-5,( +5 timing, lightened flywheel, in works) 280 mj, 27.5 pilots. sea-level, pump gas
  15. okay I ordered my adjsutable plate from ricky stator, it was $35, for the plate, $15 for a flywheel puller, and like ten bucks shipping/handling, got it in like two days. 'bout sixty bucks, for all it has settings up to +10, -10, thinking about + 5 what do you think? and while I have it off it is going out for the "boon-tune"
  16. I buy a lot from: rockymountainatv.com good prices, speedy svc.
  17. I am running works dual rates w/out rezervoirs, they are great, huge difference over stock. and cool thing if later you think you need the reservoirs, you can add them...I rode a friends bike w/triple rate shocks, it seemed better, but he also had +2 arms, where I do not...anything is better than stock...
  18. as far as I know the length of the shocks is the same, just different valving/spring rate etc.however I believe the works shocks have about an inch more travel than stock shocks. not positive, but that is what I have been told, I currently run works shocks, and was told I could have them rebuilt/revalved etc. when I get the +2 arms.
  19. thanks for the advise, I think I will try to round up some pt high revs, and see how those compare,
  20. still waiting... javascript:emoticon('') smilie
  21. where is the january wallpaper??? did I miss it???
  22. I have a set of used works dual rate, no reservoir, setup for stock arms and 180 lb rider....I just had them rebuilt in October last year(two rides on them since), at works, but now I have some dual rate w/reservoirs I got in a trade, I am gonna have built to my specs, I will let the non reservoirs go for $225 if you want them,
  23. I have the stock white tank plastic from my 04, I replaced with a desert tank after the first season, what's it worth to you???
  24. I can't leave well enough alone, I swapped out my PT Mids, for some toomey T-5, and lost all my bottom end, but I like the top end gains, I also intend on having a "dune" port done in the future, I ride mostly glamis, duning, and race the hills a bit. should I keep the T-5s or opt for PT high revs, or CPI all are readily availabel, with the proper trading. but I do miss the bottom end with the mids.....thanks. (the toomeys do look awesome)
  25. I like those old suzukis, a few of our group still ride them, they dune good, hold their own at the hill, but I don't know how to adjust the "powervalve" any one help? my pal just did a top-end, and we dont know what we're doing with the adjustment not to steal your thread, but I am curious?
