with stock motor, I ran 27.5 pilots, stock needle/clip, and 280 mains, with a 15 tooth front, bitchin setup, great lowend, and the gearing was good for top-end, sea-level w/clamp on K&N filters
-
I am also interested??? bump
-
anyone get any pictures of the bikes running up the right hand side of the hill on saturday? they were some fast ones....
-
well, what was your old setup?????
-
I should also mention I am about 215 lbs. with gear on....maybe go to a 12 tooth front sprocket and 380 main jets??? J/K I will try 300 mains, with the current gearing and maybe drop to a 14 front sprocket, half way through the weekend, get a feel for what's better....thanks

320??? sounds pretty fat??? runs good at 280, if it was that lean I would surely see my plugs??? they are a nice dark brown....but I will try it and see what happens...
-
I am running 20x10x10 eight scoop skat trak edges, 5 psi maybe a little lean???? that might explain why it just doesn't pull that hard on top....

I am currently running 15-41 gearing, at olds, and it just won't pull 4th gear, can't start in second...but the sand was kinda' wet last time out...going for Easter, should I go to 14-41, or leave it alone? will the sand be dry enough? MY mods are as follows: t-5s , shaved head, 7 degrees advance timing, lightened flywheel, K&N clamp on filters, jetting is 27.5 pilot, stock needle position, and 280 mains...runs good, but need a little more bottom end.

sorry, a friend of mine broke one of his FMF pipes, so I lent them to him, for the time being, he like them much better, so I don't think I will see them again....
-
while I can't attest to that mod alone, I recently added an adjustable timing plate(+7), but while it was off, I sent the flywheel out to be lightened (boonman), and since I was getting machine work done, I decided to mill the head as well. so I rode it last weekend, and it is a different bike now. I suggest you also make all these mods at once. I feel I re-gained some of the low end I lost when I changed to the toomey t-5 pipes. PM boon for prices, but I can tell you his work is top-notch, and turn around time is great

just got home tonight from Glamis, got there friday, night, rode all weekend got home tonight, monday about six: weather was bitchin' just started to sprinkle/spit when we were pulling out, sand was a little "sticky" but good duning overall, wanted to say I got my fly-wheel, and head back from the "boon" great job, noticed quite a difference. but could not hang with the "Big-Boys" out at Oldsmobile, guess it's time for porting etc.......finally found the "elusive" China wall...too cool

mine are not chrome, but have less than 10 hours on them, and no sents, welds etc....just want to trade expansion chambers?

OOOH RAAAHHH!!!! former Marine here, once Known as Sgt. Randall Jason S. having served as a "Radio Operator/small arms instructor" from 93' -98' I can say I have seved with all branches of the armed services, active and reserves, met a lot of good people, and some sour....it's what you make of it...and for the record I made Sgt. in 3yrs, 8 months....but was considered not smart enough for the "air-force" or Electrical MOS (military occupational specialty) damn good swimmer, shooter, pull-ups, sit-ups etc. not a rider of the desk...do not regret it at all.... threee tours in the gulf...made some good friends, and stuck around in SO. CAL ainstead of going home to Arizona.

Pipe hangers and exhaust clamps?
slowpokebanshee replied to Blue_SS's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i have the same pipes, I just put on "chozen performance" clamps, like them real well, just slips on, no bolts or anything, nice clean install, and easy, no leaks, and I think my silencer hangers are chozen also... but stock head pipe hangers, looking for some shiny ones though... -
I have the clarke 5.5, awesome, stock bars and steering stem, no problem, also ,only had to cut like alittle off the lowen front fenders, to fit. does not get in teh way at all... never run out of gas, sen tehnew 4.0 gal, look pretty trick too. but I like mine, never even get it on reserve....

I ahd this setup on my dual rate shocks, w/reservoirs, if you compress the spring and remove the collar, you can remove the spring and collars, and what you should try is "flip" the upper collar over, and that will adjust your spring pre-load, probably be soft, but I am guessing these are setup for extended arms, with a high amount of leverage (shock mounts closer to the frame) so even if you adjust your pre-load, you probably will not ahve proper valving. I just sent mine to works performance, $130 they "re-built/serviced them, and set them up how I wanted. I am so much happier now. good luck

nobody???? they look really trick....'bout $800 bucks....any feed back at all????

nobody??????

I am at sea-level, have t-5's w/clamp on k&n filters, I run 280 main jets w/27.5 pilots, 50:1 redline oil and pump gas.....15:41 gearing my question is should I need a jetting change? and also is pump gas enough, I am milling .030" off the head, advance 4-7 degrees (not sure yet, got a plate that's adjustable) and lightening the flywheel all at once...seems to all be popular mods, anyone have experience with needing jetting/fuel changes with this mod? thanks any help is always appreciated....

has anyone seen, or tried the new fox air shox yet, they look kinda pricey, but wonder how the performance is???look light weight also...
