I have been looking at the trailtech stock replacement banshee lights, for stock stator, they claim 3 1/2 times light of stock, and they look way cool, I do not ride at night very often, but when I do the stock lights suck...and I can't justify HID lights just need a little more light than stock. are these for me? or do I need a rewound stator, w/50w or better?

I just installed the trailtech computer with the billet dashboard and Fat bar style bars, computer was fairly easy to install and the whole setup looks good, tried it out in Glamis last weekend, like the bar setup but operating the computer hard I guess next trip I will bring the instructions and try to figure it out, I must have the programming offf, even though I measured like it says in the instructions. but it does look cool.

the yamaha website also has a brief history of the banshee, along with pictures from every year, although I was looking at the picture of the '87 model, and did'nt look right, I thought I remembered it to have a red frame? maybe I am wrong.reguardless, kinda cool to see all the stock bikes and colors

slowpokebanshee replied to slowpokebanshee's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I think I paid about $250, for all four, but a trade would be cool, I am looking for a duncan chrome front bumper, or similar looking front bumper, looking for trailtech front lights for stock location, or like $150 cash plus shipping? maybe other billet/chrome accessories for banshee I don't have yet... -

2001 chevy 2500 hd gas mileage 6.0
slowpokebanshee replied to slowpokebanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
thanks for all the replies, I checked two tanks of gas in town type driving came up w/10.8 both times, took it to the sand sports how, and more around town driving, and got 11.7...I have a programmer by superchips, everything else is stock, I think I will add headers next, and see if mileage increases -
I have a 2001 2500 hd 4x4 chevy extra cab shortbox w/6.0 liter engine, and recently started to figure out my mileage, first time I got about 11.7 MPG, the next tank I took it easy drove like a little old lady and got 10.8 mpg, and tonight after really driving slow everywhere for a week filled up and figured out 10.8 again...anyone else have this same truck/ or close and getting better mileage? it's all stock , no lift kit or anything, I think it's time for headers and a cold air intake set? maybe help out? anyone make these mods and see a noticeable difference. I know my truck probably does better on the highway, but mostly I drive in town or tow to the desert so empty highway mileage is irrelevant. I want to be able to pull a 40 foot gooseneck trailer and get 40 mpg...any ideas?

GM/ Corvette experts Which GM models share
slowpokebanshee replied to Holyman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
my understanding is that the bolt pattern is slightly different enough you can not use them on camaros...what are you thinking of bolting them up to? I work at a Chevy dealer(as a technician, not a salesman) in southern california, and can probably help you out. -
just take cash...and find a camp when you get there, chances are someone will sell you some fuel/pre-mix, cheaper than at the glamis store...

I ran clamp on k&n filters stock motor and pt mids w/270 main at sea-level and one bigger pilot 27.5 I think? after I advanced timing shaved head and lightened flywheel, I went 280 mains but I think the weather was a little cooler than also.

how many licks does it take to get to the center of a ....... anyways, it depends on how your bike is built, my uncle has a stock tank with 2:1 Carb and trinity moto-x porting and I have stock porting with stock carbs and five gallon tank and run out before he does??? also riding style plays part as well.
-
what elevation? and with or without airbox lid?
-
I have experience with sending shocks to works for re-build, just be honest with your riding style, (not all of us ride at a pro-level) and include the weight of your gear.... just be patient, seems like I am always playing phone tag with Oscar (the service rep) I have dual rate w/out reservoir, and am very happy, but am gonna build some w/reservoirs for +2 arms because they look cool, and I can feel the shocks fading down the sand highway at Glamis if I am really pounding it.

I remember surfin the net one night and came across like a 510-520 big bore kit for the old honda 250r four trax, anyone know where I can find it? I was telling a friend about it for his 250r, and he doesn't believe me...but he is interested? I thought it was ESR (eddie sanders racing) but I checked their web site, not them...although found a powervalve top-end for the banshee....very cool
