  1. We should have a forum...What not to do!! boost bottles should be pinned!!! All they do is get in the way and cause air leaks!
  2. I didn't have to do anything....
  3. What are the resistor plugs??br8es is the resistor plug. Most wires have the resistor built in.No need to run the resistor plug just run b8es.Stock wires have them, not sure what years it was thou.1989 and up I think...The "r" is for resistor.
  4. pjs are discountinued i think....Yep that was like a year or two ago..... If I would buy carbs today it would be PWK's.....There's a reson they stop maiking pjs....
  5. Stock porting I say the 6's.if you have porting or going to port than the 5's..
  6. I ran the same setup as you for a long time....stock clutch with barnett springs.I was ported, pipes and so on... I did some little mods, smoke that clutch.Smoked a dirt digger, went back to stock...Smoked that and now i have the street clutch from fast, but did not ride it yet.
  7. I would say pro circuits, because you have Many riding styles...but than i only rode shees with fatty's,t-5's and pro circuits..
  8. yep heavy springs in the clutch, a crappy cable and/or the way the cable is routed....All I can think of...if heavy springs is the problem, get a ezay pull clutch lever that helps alot also...
  9. what kind of compression tester do you have?i bought one from sears and it was junk.Different readings between clys and off by 20 lbs, compared to my new snap-on tester...u need to kick the shit out of her with the gas wide open.you rode it,how does it run?75lbs it will run like shit, start like shit....
  10. the lone shift fork buy it's self shifts 5th and 6th gear....
  11. cascade clamps are the ones to get NOW.Years back I bought some for my T-5's and they were a bit loose and a year later they were even worse.back than they made one size fits all.Now they make different ones depending on your pipe.My bud just got some for this Fmf's and they are really a nice fit.
  12. There's not alot to do in the bottom half, besides the crank. At least inspect the crank!!!bearings and clearnces. So far i've been running a new yamaha crank on a modded motor, it's 6 years old. all I did one year was replace one of the bearings.never had it trued and welded,But the next time it's torn down to re-ring I'm doing somethingwith the crank!! Check the tranny out. Some say if ya speed shift or don't use the clutch alot, you can wear out the dogs on the gears.I had to replace a couple of gears before.
  13. I don't think there is a difference between all the aftermarket heads. My buddy just got a NOSS head in blue.If I were to buy one today I would get NOSS.Right now I have pro-design and have never had a problem for the past 6-7 years....
  14. Wow...I'm sure someday there will be dyno runs on different setups. To tell the truth. For now we have opinions........Anyways I just ordered one from FAST and will install after I get the shee out for a good ride and see the difference myself.
  15. I'm sure their are others that have experienced this coil.Let's hear it!!!!!....hard to belive you would loose HP.I don't think a coil would give you alot of power gains, but a nice smooth idle/rev I would think.Bansheebrain had good results..... But than again the stuff from Dave Moore makes ya think.Hmmmmmm need more facts from eveyone......
  16. Yeppers locktite...I use blue and clean thethreads WELL with brake cleaner.
  17. 280's come with the pipe new. That could be a good starting point if you have a stock machine with no other mods even air filter/box mods.
  18. Does anyone else have a good report on this coil...I know rocketboy had good results....
  19. He did a plug chop with a brand new plug.Thats the way I do my jetting now.I used too read from a plug that has color on it....
  20. yep ditch the boost bottle and run the stock cross over tube. Also do a search on boost bottles, you will find nothing good about them!!
  21. Who's clutch are you running?I smoked a dirtdigger clutch in a afternoon and they where really black and blue, but not welded together like yours.I put a FAST clutch in,but didn't ride yet. Like said above if the freeplay was out of wack,or worn inner hub and prussure plate with new clutches that could be a problem.
  22. does the lighter flywheel make it easier to stall? No,Ii never had that problem.try and do a search on flywheels. You will find pages of info!!!
  23. ya for stock it's either125 psi or 130 psi.I'm very surprised your reading were that high after 4 kicks!!
  24. Have you been going through alot of water?A rusty stator can do some strange stuff.
