  1. 50's.....on 28 mmm pwk's
  2. PSI did the port work years back. There up in Wild Rose WI...I did the top end myself.... I hear ya on the weather.
  3. I run pyramid reeds.I just did a new top end and the reeds were a bit loose. So I turned them around and now there is no gap at all. when i bought these brand new there was no gap at all and 1-2 mm kinda sounds like a big gap.than again I never knew there could be a gap of any kind......
  4. f you're only out 1/2 turn what happens when you go out further? i Didn't try that yet.I really can't do much here in the city.I'll be riding this weekend. To be on the safe side I picked up some jets smaller and I all ready have larger jets.I'll put the air screw two turns out and see what happens........Thanks
  5. junk the IMS tank and buy a Clark tank.Clarks have the fins, look better and fit alot better.I had both........It's a big tank and you can't sticker it up!!(sticker's will bubble up).But the extra fuel on the trails will make a difference.......I only run 93 and most stops I make are 87 and if your lucky 91.!!!!
  6. I'm at a half turn out on the air screws now.should i go up a size on the polit jet and see what happens?????
  7. I just put on my Fatty's from t-5's.I left the jetting the same to see what happens.I'm also breaking in a fresh mortor so I'm not giving her that much,But it will hesitation when I first crack on it through out the gears.I have no problem starting the she.I belive the polit jet is a bit lean...I'm I correct?
  8. I agree leave the rubber o-rings out and put in at least 3 heavy duty clutch springs.I run 6 heavy springs, but do have a stiff clutch lever.
  9. Anyone not able to make the Silver lake trip.My buddy and I will be at the badlands the 30th.
  10. I just installed my new rear elka shock and put the stock strut back on.Are there any tricks to set the chain tension???With the preload being in the shock should I be siting on the machine to check the tension?
  11. I like my Clark tank. They even have fins modded on the side, like stock platic.Just can't put any stickers on the tank, unless you want to have them bubble up.It does look out of place having a huge spot and can't sticker it.
  12. One thing I never understood.......How can one clutch get the power to the ground better than another one?
  13. Sounds like your clutch is slipping.May need replacing.... popping into neutral.....Sounds like your popping in between gears. There is a neutral between all gears.I had the same problem and tore it down this winter.I had to replace a couple of tranny gears and one shift fork. All lower gear were replaced. The higer ones looked mint.
  14. I paided $400 for my toomey and it works really well.I can't compare with others thou. paying $280 for a PWR sounds good if it works like a toomey.
  15. Bandlands is a go for me.....I never been to Silverlake.I have always been a little shunned fom there.Just becauce You hear people driving all the way and waiting in line and have problems with to loud of an exhaust.
  16. I ordered Elka's also, but with piggybacks.I threw a few more bucks and replaced the rear shock also... this is one hell of an investment and took me 3 years to do so.You always hear you can have all the power in the world, but if you can't get it to the ground why have it!
  17. i ordered a set of quicksand arms also.Should have them in a few weeks.I had no problems talking to Gary also and he even returned my calls in reasonable time.
  18. My buddy and I will be riding the badlands Saturday April 30th and satying at the Attica Inn if anyone is interested. Ride all day and at night.
  19. Bdbanshee also does the slots.he did a nice job on mine. Boonman modded my shift star...Both do nice work....
  20. I almost bought them, but went with quicksand.I spent a little extra for the fully adjustable arms.
  21. I agree,I have lost a few charts here and there with computer problems.
  22. I know that was not easy to say.....
  23. I have heard the same running fibers from a R-6 (I think) and stock banshee steels.i myself run the stock clutch and barnett springs.I tried dirt digger and for some reason I had no luck so i went back to my old set up that has lasted many years.
  24. those pipes are different...I just sold my T-5 for fatty's.T-5 are awsome for open running, but for trails it's a pain staying in the powerband and when you hit it all you get is wheelspin. You have to be perfect on the clutch comming out of the turns. To much = wheel spin and not enough = bogggggggg than hold on.... I ran the T-5's for years on open roads 4th,5th and 6th gears.once I started to run the tight trails I hated the t-5's.
