  1. That makes sence,i saw the dyna fs for $100 and $300 something. The $300 one must be with the kit to program the unit. Can anyone explain the different curves on the cheaper one? I want to know how many out of the 4 would work for trail riding.
  2. What do you mean by program the cdi?the dyno has 4 preset setting and can not set each to your liking right....
  3. Just went to ngk's website and the br8es is a 5.0 ohm resister and the manual states the plug wire is 5.0 resistor also. I will run the br8es so the guy riding next to me will have a nice sound from his stero..... ...lol
  4. I did nothing but general repairs to the shee this winter.looking to spend a little something on her!! Hoping to hear more info about the aftermarket cdi boxes.just not sure if it will suit my needs.I do have the interest in the dyna.Cound not find the website for msd yet. I ride trails and have more than enough wheel spin the way it is.What does changes of the power curve really do?I don't need anymore H.P. i can't get all I have to the ground now....
  5. I replaced the spark plug wire boot and end. Before doing so I notice it had a resistor built in at the end.I never knew this. One wire tested very high and the other very low.The ends were loose and just worn out.To repair the end of the wire the resistor needed to be cut off to work with a fresh end of the wire.. Will this cause any problems?I was told it might have a hotter spark... I'm going to change to the br8es plug instead of the b8es plug if the matters. Why have the resistor built in the plug wire and the factory wants you to run a resistor plug??? Thanks
  6. T-5's are great for open running.I had them for years, but went to fatty's.night and day difference for woods/trails running.Way to much cluthing for trails with the 5'.
  7. " ALBA... starting to loose their touch"I don't think they ever had IT!I dealt with them over 5 years ago.I had nothing but problems....I hear more - than + about them in the past few years. Just my 2 cents......
  8. First kick all the time.If it sat for a while I will kick it a few times with the key off.Turn the key next kick she goes....

  10. Damn dude that's awsome....Can't belive I didn't see that a while back.
  11. Any info/tips about the trails and logging would be great. We're going on Memorial weekend.
  12. To check for air leaks you should pruessure test your engine.I do after any rebuild and durning the off season.I spent $20 at a hardware store for all the parts.I use the air compressor in the garage. If you don't have one you can use a vaccum gage. All you need is to plug your exhaust and one intake with rubber plugs. And get some PVC and mod a fitting into it for compressed air or vaccum on the other intake.
  13. To rule out a airleak I would pruessure test the motor to be 100% sure.... Did you make ANY changes when you rebuilt the motor?

  15. I agree 100%...Also think about replacing the inner hub and pressure plate. It's like $50 for both give or take....
  16. I rode all the trail systems in Wisconsin at least twice and looking for something new this spring/summer.The dun-bar goodman trails or bayfield are the best.I'm riding Iron county end of May. kinda bord of the Badlands.....we enjoy riding trails going through towns stop for a beer and buger that kind of thing. Any ides??...
  17. I could not have said it any better...
  18. Once you get the correct grips, use 5 minute epoxy.Once i started useing this stuff the grips never twist and turn after time.
  19. My buddy had the same problem on the trails. We thought we were screwed until we push started it.First try it fired up ran great and kicked over all weekend. He fired it up weeks later and something did not seem right. We pulled the clutch cover off and found the large gear on the basket was VERY loose. The screws holding the gear on the clutch basket were sheared off.One loose screw was holding it all together. To this day we don't know what the cause was and if the kicker problem was the start of it. VERY
  20. I just tried to return your PM....But had problems... This message can not be sent because the recipient does not have permission to use the personal messenger or their personal messenger inbox is full.
  21. Not with this one.He has pipes and that's it.. I'm thinking something locked up and started to shear the screws, but what.... Can't see the crank doing that and come loose and ran for the next 6 hours.
  22. On my buddy's shee we we're riding ,took a break and he could not kick his shee over. The kick starter would not move.I thought the worse that the crank froze.BUT we pushed started the shee and ran just fine.He hammered it all day. With no problems at all.Weeks later he fired it up and didn't sound right. After a few rips around the yard it got worse. We broke the engine down and found three screws that hold the large gear to the clutch basket sheared. The bearings on the crank seem a little worn, but not locked up. What could cause this??
  23. same here...just port the jugs. I went through two sets of ported piston in two years.i'm on the forth year with my current pistons and just replaced the rings last year.
