  6. vito's super stock pistons are probally similar to what your talking about .they have a section right on top michined down on the exhaust side.we've used them in stock motors with no porting and they deffinately made a noticable power increase.

  20. the biggest difference between the 34 pj and 35 pwk is the way the idle is set .the pj you set idle by turning choke knob and the pwk has a screw you set idling with.i ran pj's and ran pwk's ,they both work great.the pj series carbs are probally one of the best carbs there is for drag race in my oppinion.especially when set up on alky.then you have the pwk airstryker series that are an awsome carb .they differ from the regular pwk in that they have 2 fins cast in the inlet side that directs the airflow directly across the main jet and needle that helps atomize the fuel a little better, and they also have twice as many vents.oh and the pj uses an oval shaped slide and the pwk uses a flatslide. heres a link ,check it out :keihin carbs
  21. spitting the cases is easy.they normally come apart fairly easy.the worst part is removing motor from frame and putting it back in the frame.just be sure to clean them good where they mate together and apply some yama bond or equivelant.also don't try to pry them apart with a screw driver and damage the mating surfaces.
  22. $ 5.05 a gallon for turbo blue 115+ yesterday.ain't nothing like the smell of the exhaust with turbo blue and castor 927 .
  23. you can port and still run stock carbs with a pretty good increase in power, however like cadillac stated the stock carbs will limit the power potential.as for some being hogged out ,its not always how much you cut out but rather how and where you cut out.
  24. what is your altitude . one of the main things to take into consideration when determining type of fuel to use with compression and timing is your altitude.remember also ,the higher you go on your compression the more you loose on top end.
