  1. i'm fast and had my motor done by passion racing.
  2. i think the guys that directed bashing and smart assed comments towards Cam should offer him an apology.the man deffinately had a reason to come on here and be pissed.
  3. sounds good.who's doing the installation and porting?
  4. the clear lexan actually holds up very well ,it will however get some scratchs.as b said it is great to have the clear ,you can see if any bolts come loose or what ever.it is very tough and will not break easily. you must have your clutch case modded to run the lockup.you can have this mod done get the lockup and the bearing kit for 250 and up depending where you go and who you get it from.
  5. maybe it welded the ball to the adjuster.thats pretty heavy lubricant for winter time use in a wet clutch.mayb you just need different oil in tranny.just pull the clutch cover and check it out.
  6. i'f it were me i'd just bore to the next size or just what it takes to clean up the cylinder walls .there is no real gain in power in boring bigger than you need to.
  7. i'v been running castor 927 for i could'nt tell ya how long and its been good for me.never had any motor failures because of it.as for shaking gas cans ,in my oppinion you give the can of mixed a little shake before you put it in your bike no matter what oil you mix with your gas.i've been running 2 strokes for 35 yrs now and i have always shook the can and always will before pouring.
  8. they also sell 37,39,41,43,44
  9. thats what i run on my shee .on the older 4 bolt hubs like that one ,you can use down to a 37 tooth sprocket.the smaller ones like 37,38 and sometimes 39 for a banshee are usually not stocked by many people.you can order them from sprocket specialties and they pretty reasonably priced.
  10. go with the t5's.
  11. i agree with that champ.i had a whole lot of fun last season and this year the fun looks like its gonna be unbelievable this season.it is like chase said just have fun thats all that matters.the more serious you get about it the less fun you'll have and the more fustrated you'll get.
  12. it is quite possible when you came up on wheelie bar your rear wheels were actually being jerked up in the air.two things that cause this are your wheelie bar is to short and or its to stiff.go with at least a 60 inch long wheelie bar, measured from axle to center of wheelie bar axle and build it so it can flex just a little bit but still be strong enough to help absorb the impact when it comes up and hits the wheelie bar.the first wheelie bar i built i built to rigid and it had no flex and it caused the rear wheels to bounce and loose traction.my sons first bar was to short and to rigid and it jerked the rear wheels off the ground when it hit the wheelie bar.
  13. what sprockets were you running?i think the +4 swingarm will be better.remember also ,your e.t.'s will get better as you get onto running drags.you just have to do it and figure out what works for you with your riding style.
  14. i have a 1-5 overide for a banshee for sale.i'm not sure who cut it.came out of a buddies bike and worked ok when removed from bike.i'll take 300.00 or might do some trading for something i can use.it does not come with shift forks.
  15. i'd go with a noss head
  16. 40:1 with Maxima Castor 927
  17. nope it aint Pussy Passion Porting ,i know for a fact it aint, i run Pussy Passion Porting and that don't look like mine.jeff the statement "The rest of the cylinder is where the majority of the power comes from."is not necessarily always true.the work on the intakes of my cylinders gave them around a 75 percent increase in hp .but then my cylinder intakes are done in a way that very very few builders could do and get the results that ed got when he done mine.
  18. probally saying "look wes baby you can see but you can't touch"
  19. i agree,it probally ran decent.roughness in intake area is good as long as there are no loose burrs to break off and get into motor.
  20. i agree ,mid to upper 4's depending on shifting ability and gearing .don't expect to low of et's at first.the more you run the drags the better your et's will get.
  21. well said wes.i have done a lot of drag racing and have seen alot of different builders motors run.some of the fastest motors i've seen run were done by builders that you hardly ever hear mentioned.i would'nt have a motor done by someone just because they have a name thats posted every where you look.i also would'nt get one from a builder that sent me a pm without me contacting him first. some only want the all mighty dollar.get some ideas and oppinions here on hq ,get some over at planetsands.check around ,talk to various builders and compare.
  22. yeh you'll have to come on out and check the drags out .i run there all the time.test and tune is april 22 and first race is may 6.we'll have four of Passion Racing's drag motors running there this year on our banshee's.look for number 14 thats me and number 911 thats my boy .
  23. I'm a fabrication department supervisor, working with fiberglass reinforced composites. check out the link if you're interested in what the composite world is all about. http://www.pultrude.com/ 474202[/snapback] hey MILO i'm in the same line of work.i'm a mold operator at BRP.this is the company's website :BRP MILO do you ever go to BBDR?do you run any dirt drags?
  24. i think you need an aftermarket basket such as a hinson to have mods done so you can run an eigth disk.
