  1. damn, how much do them tires weigh? while bolts may hook up well, you are adding a ton of weight to the turning weight of the bike.
  2. i didnt understand a word you said the whole time. sounds like you have peanut butter on the roof of your mouth..
  3. post some pictures if you can. here in the midwest i can buy nice banshees all day for 1500 to 2000 bucks with plenty of mods.
  4. just so you know if an outerware gets too much dust on it, it will plug up and now allow enough air into your engine. only time i use outerwares is in the sand. they are junk for dirt.
  5. i think it would be a lot easier to just take it all apart. if you flip the motor over how are you gonna hold everything in there in the right place? seems like a recipe foir disaster to me. just take the extra time and do it right.
  6. call FAST and see what jeff says about it..
  7. propane torch. just lightly wave it over the marks. theyll turn back to normal color. dont hold it in one spot too long.
  8. i dont see how 4 strokes are any more reliable. especially in the atv world. there are MANY more moving parts on the newer 4 strokes. that means there is a greater chance something will break. banshee motors are about as simple as you can get. if you put it together right, its unlikely youll have a problem for a long ass time.
  9. ive never unplugged anything before welding on the frame and been fine. but if you wanna go that extra step just unplug your shit..
  10. who the fuck are you? i asked for his specific jetting, not some dumbass comment from you giving a link thats not gonna help him. so shut up unless you have something valuable to add to the post, which we can see you dont. so you might as well just shut up. snipe, get me that info and i can get your jetting fixed for you.
  11. what main jet and pilot are in the carbs? what EXACTLY are your mods? what is the temperature where you are and at what elevation are you? these things need to be known before we can accurately help you with your problem.
  12. a small hydraulic jack will work. place it in between the seat mount loop and the steering loop. crank away. you need to get some measurements though so you know how far to bend it back. or at least make it so your tank goes in and out easily without having a huge gap in between the tank and steering loop. it also needs to be gusseted or under normal riding conditions it can bend right back..
  13. ignorance is great isnt it! just think, if it werent for stupid ass people, we wouldnt have anyone to make fun of!! yeaaaaaaa
  14. i didnt understand a thing you said, the whole time. sounds like you have peanut butter on the roof of your mouth.
  15. there is no such thing as a 4 stroke banshee. so if you buy one theres a problem.
  16. dirt tires will most always shake at high speeds. just slapping a tire on a wheel and going its more than likely its out of balance too.
  17. i see no reason to buy anything other than wiseco pistons... vitos, pro x, etc...fuck all them. stick with wiseco. its proven.
  18. sounds pretty cool. good job. post pics in the images forum in a new thread..
  19. this is not really just an easy conversion. i would recommend sending the motor to k and t. they have a lot of experience with the cr500 motors. the crank actually isnt a full 4mm.. its somewhere between 3.5 and 4. crankworks actually built the crank for k and t. who is building this motor?

  21. cr500 has a totally different kind of power than a banshee. it will be a lot more broad similar to a 4 stroke.
  22. for the pussy.. chicks like nice shiny things with wheels and engines..
  23. sounds electrical to me. cdi more than likely. if carbs were your problem it wouldnt run right for 40 mins and then shut down or act funny. it would more than likely be fucked up and thats it.. since youve torn them down and say theres no issue i suspect electrical. electrical problems can be on/off at anytime. make sure your cdi is good and grounded properly. check to make sure all your wires are secure and nothing is grounding out to the frame. your gas cap is leaking? from where? there should be a vent hose on there that runs down to the ground.
  24. dont worry so much about the bore size and the size of the motor. if you go with a 4mm youre gonna see a lot more power. the difference between a bore size or two will be very minimal in the power area. your cylinders can be reported for a 4mm crank. you just need to talk to a builder about it. stay away from the spacer plates. do it right and have the cylinders reported and use the correct domes. try FAST or redline racing. they are both reputable builders and can do any work you want done.
  25. hahahaha 26 no way!! only count the part that sticks out! not the valleys. sounds to me like you have a 13 tooth front sprocket on there..
