  1. Well I have been running itp Baka wheels on my banshee and I just broke off the wheel riding. This is the second time I have done this. My lug nuts come off and then the wheel pops off. I know the wheel had a little bit of wobble to it. Need advise on what wheel to use that will last and not continue to come off. I know first response is to tighten up the lug nuts which knave spent time doing before riding. Thanks for the help.
  2. sorry I been busy havent been able to check on this topic. But I have read all imput and its good thoughts. I am refering to the spindle but to order the part its called the steering knuckle. I broke mine on the top part where the ball joint from the top a-arm sits. I messed around with the broken one the other day and welded tubing inside and I liked the way it worked out so I did it to both the ones I ride with. I believe this will work only time will tell....As to wondering how it breaking I dont know just the desert racing I do takes a toll on the bike. Well thanks for the imput and hopefully my idea or mod works....thanks
  3. I am looking to see if any one out there has added a support tube to there steering knuckle assembly. I have broken mine from racing and was talking to a fellow that told me that he had welded a piece of solid tubing to his steering knuckle to make it stonger. I am interested in doing this it eliminate continuing to break mine well racing. I hope someone out there has heard of this or done it. please post some pics looking to do this to mine or try something like it....thanks
  4. yeah its the steering spindle snaped on top next to where the tie rod bolts up. the tie rod is ok might need to get new ball joints since the rubber has torn on them. so you think the yfz 450 spindle will work instead of stock??
  5. Well I looking for some feed back on steering knuckle. I race desert and just spent the day towing in my banshee due to the front steering knuckle breaking. I am wondering if any out there uses a stronger or different steering knuckle or if I need to just order any OEM steering knuckle. I really just looking for something that wont break again or will last alittle longer. Any feedback would help thanks. Also when ordering a steering knuckle it goes by left or right so is that left or right determined by standing in front of the bike or is it by seating on the seat??
  6. Well thanks many ideas and different ways to cut them i guess i am just gonna have to get the knife out and add some style to my banshee.......
  7. I am in the process of thinking about cutting my fenders just looking for some ideas as far as length to cut...Looking to see what many of you have done....post some pics if you could to help me out.....thanks
  8. Well i wish that helped but the two lines from the front calipers go into the "T" and then break off to the one line to the master cylinder...I thought it should just bolt right up in the existing hole with the same bolt...well I guess I can just zip tie it or use wire to hold it.....
  9. I was trying to install new steel braided brake lines but the bolt that holds the "T" to the frame doesnt fit....has anyone else had this problem or how to mount them???? thanks
  10. The only shock i see that fox makes for the banshee is to be used with stock a-arms...wqith will not work for my riding style...
  11. Ok yeah i believe what your all saying...Its an opinion, but I really want to know if I can use fox shocks??? I been on a bike with elkas and I like the feel but I want the lite weight that fox provides...
  12. you really think works are better than the other major brands...i thought elkas and fox were the best....
  13. I am getting ready to upgrade my suspension...I am going to get the roll design long travel a-arms...I would like to go with the fox shocks in the front, but I know fox doesnt make them to fit a banshee just wondering if anyone out there has still used or fit this set-up and if so what did they go with?? I also know that elka makes good shocks as well and can get the roll design kit with them but I prefer having fox shock in the front....
  14. I just purchased a set of ASV levers F3 twin pack with the clutch and brake lever. I began to put on the brake lever but it doesnt fit the front master cylinder. Is there some modification i have to do or did i get the wrong asv levers??? need some help seen plenty of banshees on here with them...
  15. Ok maybe it is the electrical, I will have to look at my CDI unit then. Well, I did ride today to see what would happen..Things seemed good i had the power and response as before...I hit a couple of bumps and some jumps and then it began to act up as it did before. So now i am thinking it could be the electrical but i was just so confused with it..Also there was a lot of air that built up in the gas tank and my gas lines to the carbs seemed that air was getting in them...Maybe i not getting the proper amount of gas...Also gas was running out of the vent line....
