i vote for saving your money and buying a used rear Elka. i picked up my used rear elka for $400 and bought $100 worth of springs for it. good as new. rides like a cadillac.
awesome! i just snagged a vholdr a couple months ago. havent used it yet. the picture is awesome. cant wait to use it at the hillclimbs.
its too bad that video does hills like that no justice. i know that hill is way steeper than the video makes it look.
welcome to HQ bro
there are literally THOUSANDS of pages of information here. look around and if you dont see what youre looking for, dont hesitate to ask someone.
i think you should be able to find a banshee for less than 3,000 with no problem. here in the midwest you can pick them up all the time for next to nothing. there are lots of members in your area that should be able to help you locate a good running bike.
it was the rear shaft on mine.
mine is NOT an extreme duneable though. its just a regular duneable 2-4. i think i had a bad gear and when i jammed it down into first gear, it caused the problem.
i think youd be better off with regular duneable.
guaranteed. i straight up beat on my motors. my 10mm cub was bulletproof. after 4 years, my magnum basket still looks new. its now in my new BIG motor. seems to be working quite well.
nooooo waaayyyyyyy... dave going to straight cuts?!
Hey guys, I thought I would weigh in here because most of you guys probably don't know who Tom is. Tom is the original builder of the Rocket Pipes. The sets that me and my brother had were built by Tom. Anyone who has ever seen them knows the quality that went into those pipes. BBCmudtruck still has my brothers set too.
I have in fact tested these pipes that Tom is now selling years ago. I noticed an increase in top end over my Rockets with Tom's new R2 pipes. The bottom end felt great too. I was actually planning on snagging a set from Tom but I think he got sidetracked back then and never got around to finalizing the pipes for selling.
I am sure anyone would be happy with these pipes on a wide range of motors. I can't wait to get some feedback on these things from you guys.
Here are a few pictures of my bike with them on from back then. I talked to Tom on the phone earlier and he said he has made some improvements to the pipes since I tested them.
agreed. i love it when guys are on here saying maxxis or itp make the best tires because all the top racers run them.. so basically it wouldnt matter if they ran rounded off rocks for tires because they are obviously the best since the top racers use them. its a lame argument and the advertising for the companies doing its job. trying to make everyone believe that these guys are winning races because of their product when in fact they win races because of their riding skill.
climbing hills really puts a load on the motor causing it to use more fuel. you are probably just running the bowls dry. a dual feed pingel should solve that. here is a link for one.

here are some links i dug up. banshees are out there you just gotta find them. you could prolly have any of these for 4-500 less than what they are asking.

i think anything more than 1800 is too much. 6 years ago my brother bought a stock 2001 in great shape for 1800 bucks. no way they should be any higher than that now. you can find really nice built up banshees for 3-4000.. i wouldnt pay anymore than 1800 for a stock 2001.
