  1. I have ran 36" radial TSL swampers... I liked them. good mileage, good ride. I have also ran a set of 37" SSR radials. I LOVED them. If they made them in a 44" size, I would be running them or Swamper SX's. If it was my truck, I would put SX's on it. If you don't want SX's, I would go with the SSR's for sure...
  2. So, I guess everyone is trying to get shit replaced like years later.. Except for the couple peeps who had trouble so soon after purchase. I don't know. I have never had an issue. I have taken shit back no questions asked. I don't bother with warranties and extended bull shit. They always give you a hard time years later no matter where you go. With their pro-rated nonsense......... Warranties are worthless nowadays....
  3. Those TTB front ends are a joke. And the reason that one in qhestion ran hot was most likely due to improper radiator.... More times than not, people don't change the radiator..... I wouold be leary. That thing don't look so hot in that pic under the hood...
  4. Sounds like manufacturer warranty problems to me...... I have taken shit back to Circuit city and had no problem with exchanging it. I even bought an open box Sony home receiver. Got it gome, and the delay on the surround was all fucked up. I had it a week. I took it back, and they took it on return. Refunded me the entire amount, and I upgraded to a brand new model that was about $300 more... All without a problem. I have bought my in dash head units from Circuit City for awhile now. The last time I got a stereo it was for my S-10 blazer. They had a nice little deal on 2 12" subs, a profile amp, and a sealed MTX enclosure (carpeted). SO, I bought it. I took my receipt to the front pickup counter. They gave me my head unit, and the enclosure. I was thinking it wasa little wierd, because the stereo dude told me to come around back when I got the head unit up front, and he would give me the box, amp and subs and the Polk audio mids I got at the install shop. So I didn't have to drag the shiz through the store. So, I went around back. Out comes my enclosure, speakers and amp. So, I made off with a $100 enclosure for nuthin. I have never had a problem with Circuit City. I don't know why y'all have a problem with them. Lots of places now won't take anything back after a certain time frame. You have to deal directly with the manufacturer for the "manufactorer's warranty". That's just the way it is sometimes.... Maybe the store I go to knows what is up. I also don't trust anyone I talk to at the store. I research shit on my own. Then I know what I want, and I go get it...... no fuss, no muss.
  5. This is the first I've read this entire thread.... Anyways, I beg to differ on the RPM thing. What about any Sport bike made in the last 10-15 years turns a higher red line than your banshee ever thought of stock for stock. And Ive spun an R-6 to 15K.... Go hop on a sled. About 8500 or so is par on max RPM..... My take is that there is a purpose for everything. 4 stroke's will put the power to the ground a little better than a 2 stroke will. But, once the two stroke hooks up, it's anybody's ball game. The new 4 strokers (450's) are NOT to be fucked with unless you got some mods on your bike..... And not just pipes...... My vote goes to a 2 stroker though.....
  6. I heard they made "HD" half ton pickemups. Kind of makes me giggle a little......
  7. You need to match up a spring rate with the arm you want. Also should have that puppy re-valved......
  8. Oh stop it. First thing I did when I pullled my truck out of the garage when it was done was launch it over the RR tracks..... 60 MPH sends you about 6' up, and maybe 30-40' out....... Pretty neat on the pavement!!! Give it time......
  9. Not worth it. I jusr re-did a motor where one of the ears came off inside the cover, and it wiped out the crank seal, water pump gear, and just chewed shit up. Get a Hinson.... Or, try Ebay for a good stocker....
  10. A tether is a good idea for any kind of riding......
  11. A sled on the sand is compareable to a sled on the pavement. About one run down the track, and you need to cool it down. There is no radiator. Only a heat exchanger, (actually a few of them). They are designed to use snow to cool the fluid. No snow, no cooling. They are under the tunnel, or under the running board...
  12. I've never had a problem with circuit city. In 5 years......... Oh well.
  13. I know you asked Jason, but I have Works triples, and I love them. Best bang for the buck. When it comes to suspension, get the best you can affford...... I ave works now, and I will for a long time. I don't race anymore. I don't need anythign better.....
  14. That was my first option........ i guess you got all excited over the latter of the two..... LMAO!!! I would go with the latter of the two. Go all out......
  15. Well, that is next on the list of mods....... There is not much else you can do, unless you start blingin' it out.......
  16. You are running into the same thing I had happen to me last year. Actually, I think 2 years ago now.... Shit still pops up. IDENTITY THEFT. Sucks. You are on a long road now my friend. 17. I am not sure if they can sue you civily in this. THey should be suing your insurance company. But this should have already been settled, unless you live in New York. THan you can get fucked at any time.... Things suck here... Anyways, I would be on the horn with your insurance company. All of the evidence isn't gone. There should be a police report. In NYS, any property damage over $1,000 must be reported, under penalty of law. And being that threre was 3 cars involved, I am sure there was..... being that you rear ended her, you were most likely at fault for that... BUT, the insurance company should battle for you.....
  18. Check the online auction watch..... NYUK has some blingin rezzy caps fo' sale.....
  19. I got me a 23 horse Deere.. And an 18 horse Wheelie horse that has no deck, or anything with it. I could roll with the Horsey. It's hydro though., What can be done with that? I'll have to look into it..... 40 MPH on a lawnmower...... I'd be cuttin lawn for shits and giggles on a daily basis......
  20. Break it off. And get a new one from the stealer. THey are very cheap. Like under $5 I think.....
  21. This MUST be done by a knowledgable professional. Otherwise, your flywheel will be toast. And you will be and
  22. You aren't gonna get it rebuilt for $200. Your loking at some serious $$$$ on this one...... First off, you need to get the cylinders checked. "I think" doesn't cut it when checking for bore sizes..... You need to be sure. My recommendation would be to take them to your local boring shop. Have them checked. Then, decide what size piston kit you need. You can get a Wiseco top end kit for $150. Now, you won't have anything in the tranny from the crank, or the piston(s). They are 2 seperate entities. My best guess is that you don't have anything wrong in the transmission. The rotating the crank one way, and having it go completely around can be due to stuff being stuck in the rod bearing, and turning it one way, it doesn't catch on anything, an turning it the other way it catches on something... So, you also need to buy a lower end gasket set. Around $40-$50. And a tube of Yamabond 4. $7.50. Pull the motor down, split the cases. Get the crank out. Have a look see. You will notice debris in the lower rod (big end) bearings most likely. This 95% of the time occurs with complete piston failure. Now, you have to either get the crank rebuilt, (about $350-$400) or get a new Wiseco replacement. (about the same price). Get that, get your cylinders bored, and put it all back together. Ready to ride. Now, you have another option. You can have the motor that everyone dreams of. Your crank is most likely junk. (if it is, read further, if not, than just do a top end) Contact Jim at Passion Racing Engines, or any other reputable builder. Get yourself a 4MM stroker crank. This should cost you around $550 at the most. Have the cylinders ported for your riding style. (MX, dune, drag, whatever). You will have to have them bored anyways, and they need to be bored when they are ported. So, why waste a bore job? Get it all back, and for a few scoots extra, you can have a RIPPIN motor!!!!!! It's up to you....
