Ok we have all heard of someone putting a snowmobile engine on a quad for the dunes, but a snowmobile on sand? Thats different. I do know they make the traks and skis which are similar to those on a snowmobile for quads now days. They say you can use them on snow or sand. Here is a LINK to a snowmobile (artic cat) dragging a shee. The shee loses. Bummer dooood.

4stroke V Force 700. Modded of course. Why, because ive never rode a banshee yet LOL. On a modded 700 the torque is mos def there as well as a hard pull through mid to the top. It could use a little more though. I think the top end is around 80 when modded with an 800 kit and other mods. Im curious, whats the top end on a highly modded shee? Ive heard it to be in the 100's. Any truth? I would think 90's maybe but like i said, ive never rode one..stock or modded.
