And we're up to 1.98...... rotten bastards...... And BTW, VP C-12 is about $5.85/gallon now......

Does it ping with that much advance? What fuel do you run? What elevation? What are your jetting specs? My legs get hot on my bike too, but my bike runs a cool 180 degrees..... You could have some detonation, and perhaps lean jetting..... You need to put a temp guage on and see just how hot it is. You may not have a problem at all.....

holy shit. I hope you get better. And your shee will be fine. Time for some aftermarket goodies......

I do not know how other states work. But I do know that in New York state, this is how things work in the eyes of traffic court. First and foremost, on the back of your ticket, you should be able to sign and send in your "not guilty" plea. On there should be a check box for "supporting deposition". Check that box. It tells the court that you want a full writeup about the ticket, why it was written, and any other pertinent information about the incident. The cop MUST WRITE it up, or you get the ticket unconditionally dismissed. Most cops won't write one. They take a little time... And if they do, you will have a better understanding of what you're up against. RULE #1 when receiving a ticket. if you know you're going to get a ticket, and there's nothing you can do about it, don't be a dick. Be courteous, call him "deputy", or trooper, or whatever he is..... If he is local, learn the patches, and see if you can spot if he is a lieutenant, or captain, or peon, ir what. Whatever he is, BOOST HIS EGO a little. Call him lieutenant or whatever. (if he is one). If he is a trooper, (state) then call him "trooper". Instead of officer. They hear "officer" from the last 10 morons he pulled over. SO, if you are different, it shows him that you have the respect, and the knowledge to call him by the name he worked hard to get. Cops love that shit. They are on an ego trip. If you are courteous, he won't write notes for himself. Some cops will write notes on the ticket if you are a dick. if you fly off the handle and tell him you will see him in court, you can bet he will make every note on that stop... If you are nice, and you end up going to trial, you can ask questions like direction of travel, approximate distances, and if the cop didn't write notes, how in the hell is he going to testify in court about it? Here's a little trick. Ask the cop how you can just plea guilty by mail. It will make him think that you are stupid enough to do so. And there fore he won't write any notes. You're set. Also, the only time a cop has to be in court, is if you go to trial. In NYS, you plea bargain first. If you want a trial, than you get re-scheduled and come back. THEN, if the cop don't show, you are good to go... BTW, both my parents are county Sheriff deputy's.......... And I have had 47 traffic violations in 9 years

That is a Wiseco. At least it's in a Wiseco box.

Why was it rebuilt this time? When it was rebuilt, did you clean out the bottom end REALLY GOOD?? Becaue my bet is that some shit was down in the lower rod bearing. ANd it failed. I had the EXACT same thing happen. You will need to rebuild the crank now.....

CD, why do you have to run Super in your Navigator? SOunds kind of funny to me..... Every vehicle made recently, (within the last 10-15 years) that burns gasoline and has a knock sensor can run mexican fuel if you wanted to. Except maybe an LS-1..... I doubt that your Navigator is that high of compression to need high octane..... And with the knock sensor it will retard timing untill the engine doesn't ping anymore........ So it protects itself. Your mileage may be a little off with lower grade fuel if in fact your rig does ping..... I doubt it will though....

I'm thinking I'd maybe like one to let's say, "fall off the truck" perhaps right in my driveway??? Please!!!!!

Who S Had Their Flywheel Lightened?
boonman replied to grounded's topic in General Banshee Discussion
The final O.D. is 4.840". The strip in the middle that gets left because of the timing tabs vary wheel to wheel, because mother Yamaha decided they wanted to affix the timing tabs to the wheel a hair off from each other from time to time...... Don't go anyt deeper than 4.840". Otherwise, you may hit the magnets.... That is a bad thing.. You can also remove material from the inner hub, on the outside of the flywheel. I believe the O.D. on that is 2.8" or 3.8". It will be readily apparent. Just don't hit the rivets. An arbor is what you mount the flywheel to. It basically mimicks the end of the crank. The taper is there, because that is the only way to make absolutely sure the flywheel is vibration free. You could chuck up on the outside of the wheel. But it isn't as precise. You will be close though.
