  1. I'd PM ya, but I figure I might as well post it... I didn't do the math, I just machined as much as I could off of it, and then weighed it. You could do it at your boss's work, a lathe is what you need. BUT, you also need an arbor. Can/do you feel comfortable cutting a taper? I can give you final dimensions. But machining a chatter free part is half the battle.....
  2. High octane fuel may cause more of a buildup if he doesn't have the compression to burn it completely.... Maybe he deosn't grab enough throttle to clean it out.......
  3. AHHHHHHHHHH.... Stock springs don't hold long nough in my bike to find out...... But a stock clutch plate fiber is just fine..
  4. On my bike it goes up towards the steering stem... from the tee...... It is a vent. Not a drain.....
  5. You beat me to it!!!!! Have yourself a clutch cushion ring party!!!! Or, lay them outside, and when you get the clutch back together, you can go roost on it....
  6. That is the wrong attitude to have. I believe the question was answered. More than a few times. Everyone gave their opinion on the tire issue at one point or another. So get off your ass and find out. Look at what you can afford, and what is out there. Narrow it down to some choices and go from there. In the sand, nothing beats a paddle. For all around, IMHO you can't beat a set of Holeshots. They aren't as expensive as a Razr, and hook up considerably well in everything..... So there. I answered it AGAIN. maybe it will sink in this time..... Obviously it didn't the first time......
  7. An impact is the EASIEST way to remove that nut. Like mentioned, travel down to the local service station, or maybe even a local tire shop. Bring the proper 1/2" drive socket with you. Ask them nicely to pull it for you..... That is provided you can get it on a trailer and out there.,....... If not, maybe a strap wrench? But I have broken a few of those trying things like that. I usually get frustrated, and take whatever it is out to the shop and just use an impact. You can get an electric impact pretty cheap......
  8. Not only does it perform better in neutral, but you should try riding it!!!!!!!!!
  9. Sounds like you are doing how I was doing on Sunday. Hope you get it figured out. Mine was a problem with the firewall, and also the "file" dropdown menu had "work offline" checked. And it was doing the sign on, sign off, sign on, sign off thing and going plain nuts!!! B370 is the shiz, and you and him will get it I ma confident!!!!
  10. Hell yea. f*ck Dell. I am sooooo excited!!! i guess it doesn't take much anymore to get me going now that I'm old....
  11. You don't want to suck a broken reed into the engine.......
  12. Only problem is hammer, I don't know how thick the magnets are. I know where they are on a Shee wheel, and on an RZ wheel, It took some to figure it out, and some to get replacements for the . Either way, i don;'t think i would lighten a RS heavy magnet flywheel. I just don't want to take the risk.
  13. Will have to clean at least every day.... if not twice. Depends how dry it is..... Hopefuly it don't rain though....
  14. I may be bringing two friends of mine down to Coalfest. One has a new Honda 450, and the other has a yammy 450. We'll see.....
  15. I always used a brass drift, and tapped them out from the other side of the hub. Worked fine for as long as i can remember. BUT, I was at the local "tool sale", you know, the Cummins brand shit. Son't know if y'all have that in your area, but I picked a 12 ton press for $99. I have used it more than a few times, and it is awesome!!!! The best hundo I spent in a long time!!!!!! Sometimes, you can find stuff that is alright there. I grabbed a bunch of scrap from work to use as "tooling" for it, and I have been happier than a pig in the slop...... Or happier than a Honda rider on a shee for the first time.... Either way, tapping them out works fine, but if you have access to a press, that is good too.......
  16. Bummer!!!!!! Get better soon man, and watch where your goin!!!
  17. I remember this post from somewhere else..... Yep, HERE it is....... but I run Holeshots, and Turf tamers. I just got s new pair of holeshots. not even mounted yet..... I like them.... Razr's are $$$$ And please man, I just searched your posts, stop posting the same damn question in like 4 different forums......
  18. Well, I ultimately decided to have Banshee370 build me a PC. And boy am I glad I did. He hooked me up with one incredible PC!!!! Although I did want some specific things, he guided me in the right direction. I have never owned a PC before. It's kind of cool. THis thing flies. And B370 gets mad props for helping me out on all my stupid ventures and problems I've had. Mad props, and thanks be to the man, B370!!!! I can't thank you enough!!! Oh yea, it's a pentium 4, 2.8GHZ, 1GB ram It smokes!!! I just need more hard drive now........ More room!!!!!
  19. No doubt about it there. The organization says that ATV's are safe when ridden responsibly. But, in today's day and age of sue happy mother fuckers, this is what we get. NOONE is responsible for their own actions. Pretty soon, I think I amgonna sue my parents for having me... WHy the f*ck not. I bet I'd win...... People today are ridiculous..... Pony up to the plate and admit your idiocy people. And anyone that rides without a helmet, pony right on up there to. Because your stupid just like the rest of them.......
  20. You've got to be kidding me. The only mention of helmets in that entire article, was the one from the vehicle institution that stated "always wear a helmet". How much more blunt can you get? ANd that kid tht had his face mangled, I doubt very highly that he was wearing a helmet. And the first boy mentioned, I doubt he was wearing a helmet. They stated that he used to check the family trees and property with a trailer hooked up. Most likely he didn't have a helmet... 400 deaths mentioned. and 800,000 units sold. It's funny how they manipulate the facts. They don't mention it, so I will orchestrate it right here for y'all. edit: Upon researching for the last 10 minutes, I have found this: http://www.cpsc.gov/LIBRARY/atv2002.pdf It lays out the number of deaths and pretty much allthat since 1982. Latest figure is 4,541. And when compared to the amount of machines out there, I am willing to bet that an automobile is MUCH more dangerous than an ATV. Holy shit, just found this. Read it... http://www.consumerfed.org/atv_petition.pdf
  21. I currently run a Ricky Stator 200W stator. I run 2 Hella 500 series lights. WOrks AWESOME!!!
  22. The lines you speak of I believe are the vent lines?? If so, they are connectd together, and the other end of the "T" can go wherever you want it to. I run mine up by the radiator I believe.
  23. A "C" hair is about .004-.005". Roughly. Sometimes, they may be slightly thicker. And yes. I used a micrometer. I have some pics on imagestation about the shift star. Actualy, B370 has them on his site. Roostfest.com. HERE is the pics and info from Walt's site. The contact info is wrong though. Mail me or PM me through here.........
  24. I am not sure about the RS flywheel. I don't think I will be ligthtening them. Now, I can tell you that I have a 200W stator with a stock lightened flywheel, and I am running 2 Hella lights, and it is more than enough. I can't see a reason to go to he ricky stator heavier magnet flywheel if there is nothing wrong with yours?
