  1. LMFAO SRedish!!!!!! And whoever it was that mentiojned that the shift star in his wifes bike wasn't functioning properly, must have gotten a botched up job. I have done countlesss stars. All work flawlessly. BUT, I know my bike shifts smoother, and neutral is easier to find. I also know that anyone who has one, (done properly) wouldn't go back to stock.......
  2. I painted my swingarm, along with my frame with Rust Oleum hard hat yellow paint. I also used their clear.... Looks fantastic....
  3. I'll look ya up Bronco. I'll PM ya my celly # as well. We'll be there Thurs night/Friday morning. We sleep when we get there, which is usually about 2 A.M. I'll try and get pics of everything and put 'em up tonight or tomorrow. I have alot of work to do beforehand. (like usual) Your shee pissin fuel? Sounds like a stucj needle. Maybe a bad needle or seat. Usually just a piece of sand or sumfin in there.....
  4. I have never had a truck that I couldn't get the body bolts out. Keep in mind, that if you knock the heads off, via hot wrench or air chisel, or whatever, the stud will still be in the body. Can't get another bolt in, untill you get the old one out. You need a good impact, (I only use Craftsman professional impacts, they are the best in the biz IMHO, except a wickedly expensive IR thunder gun) and the rest is history. I would get that fuel leak fixed ASAP. No need to burn up shit..... Or leak your expensive fuel away..... Fuel lines ain't that bad, especially being you only have throttle body injection... It's not high pressure..... You should be able to get them bolts out. if they turn, they will come out.... Do NOT break them off in the body. It is a NIGHTMARE to get them out.......
  5. Yea, on the cackling, I might do the crossover mod. I dunno yet? It only cackles when it's hot. LOUD Bang bang bang, romp romp, bang bang..... etc... You get the picture.... lol I am really impressed with this truck, although it will have to go to the dealer, because it needs new hubs. They are froze... Friggin previous owner must not have moved them.. (vacuum auto operated junk) Not that it really needs them to be fixed, but I am a manual lockout kind of guy..... I absolutely love this thing so far. Fuel miileage is a God send. Previously, for the last 3 years, none of my behicle have gotten over 7 MPG. With a little lovin this truck will see 20. And when i am "playin'", prolly alot less. Oh well. It will rip soon. it needs a lift though. I can't stand being behind the wheel with this lowrider..... People are gonna flip when they see me in something wth stock tires. That's the only drawback. And, it's a shortbed. BUT, it is sweet. Definitely have to do something to hear the turbo whistle. it is almost inaudible. Friggin Ford engineers doing their best to quiet in cab noise. I say bring it on!!! I wanna have to wear ear plugs to quiet turbo and engine whine. My buddy stopped over with his Cummins last night. Has a 4" downpipe, 5" back and dumps before the rear wheel. Friggin loud ass monster!!!! Cummins are loud to begin with, but this thing is kind of annoying. Makes some ponies though. In time mine will tooo.... My list is long, but the mods will be carefully planned out. I have been lurking over at TDS.com for about 2 years. I had my heart set on the Cummins, but the Ford has a MUCH better cab. Lovin' it!!! SRedish, we'll be in touch soon enough my man!!! I have 4 buddies all with 7.3's that need a whoopin. Oh yea, one has a 6.0 as well. Got to hand him a lil' somethin..... P.S. Anyone want a '96 2500 Ram???? Purple and Yellow.......... Fuckin sweet truck..... It's up for sale.....
  6. Oh hell yes. This thing needs some get em up and go. Don't get me wrong, it scoots right along, but it could use some business. I love this truck!!! I just have to cure the 7.3 problem if nasty idle cackle. My wife was like "WTF is that banging??" I tried to explain, to no avail. I'll post some pics tomorrow......
  7. I LOVE EQUIPMENT!!!!! Especially when it's green!!!! (or yellow)
  8. Looks pimp!!!!!!!! VERY NICELY DONE!!!
  9. I know a few people that have the '03 6.0, and have had no probs. On the other hand, I know some that have had alot of problems, and had Ford buy the truck back. I just went with the sure thing. I LOVE the power of the 6.0, friggin sweet. Now, Scott, I need some stuff, and I remember you mentioning you get diesel parts. 'sup?
  10. I just noticed it looks as though you have the 6.0L Evil, judging by the badges, and I also see a nice little sticker on there that I believe reads "Banks power"!! if I am correct, Hell yea!!!
  11. That looks familiar!!! Bling bling!!!
  12. 2-3 oz. is wayyyy too much. Need only a fine mist.... On the fuel in the pipe thing, sometimes, if the float sticks, it will fill the cylinder(s) and/or pipe(s) up with fuel.. Which is bad. Also, your cylinders may be filled up with fuel.... Try to kick the piss out of it without any spark plugs in it... See if any fuel comes spraying out of the plug holes... If it does, than you have a filled up crankcase. Now, for a little story on that, I was at Silver lake, and I blew a head gasket. Enough so that the pressure filled up the cooling system, and blew the coolant hose off, and sprayed nicely HOT coolant all over my foot. Anyways, it sucked colant into the motor too, And dumped it in the case. I sprayed the crap out of it with WD-40 after I took the head off, (by campfire light at 1:30 A.M., because of another disaster that day, but that's another story) and I filled up the crankcase good. So nothing would start to rust b ecause of the water. The next day, I kicked it with the head off, blew some of the shit out, put the head back on, and fired it up. it spit shit out the pipes for awhile. But, it still ran. Also, I don't have stock pipes. I don't know if you do, but I think so.. Stock pipes are wierd, and seem like they would hold fuel more so than my fatties.... Anyways, point being, that if the crankcase is filled up, mayhbe the fuel mix is wayyy rich when you kick it? When you pull he plugs, are they soaking wet? The carb slide thing is also god to think about. The angled cutaway needs to facce the air cleaner... Your stator could be weak. Your coil could be playing funny games. You also may be getting fuel out of the lines, but if no fuel is let in the carbs, than you are ass out. Did/was there any fuel in the float bowls when you took the carbs off? My bike has been pretty messed up before, but it has usually always at least fired up....
  13. Depends on what kind of grease? For some reason, I never think of thinner grease. i always have like wheel bearing grease on the mind.... I dunno. I've never greased my slides. I have had a couple problems when I originally got my bike, but it hasn't seemed to do it in a long time.... Also, I got a new cable.. BUT, i remember when Rodney was getting the problem to duplicate itself by running rater from a hose on the carb(s).
  14. Hey peeps. Myself and a bunch of others will be out at the dunes from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon. We will have banshees, Honda 450's, Yammy 450's, 400EX's, and some utility machine I think. Maybe a Rubicon it's called? Either way, there will be a chrome yellow Ford Diesel on 40" swampers, and another black and grey super duty on 38" swampers runing around with the women in them, usualy close by us snapping pics and video. Find the trucks, and you find us. I am going to hang some duct tape "rings" around the flag on my bike, and Hopefully my buds will follow suit. My new truck will be there, a charcoal grey Ford diesel crew cab, towing some sort of trailer. unknown at this time.... It will be stock and in the parking lot..... We are staying at val-du-lakes campground. Site(s) 75 and 77. in the back.... Come by and say hi!!!!! We spend lots of time at test hill, and the grudge drag area. Sometimes by the beach...... I am stoked. Nothin' like sand!!!!
  15. Because 2003 was the last year for the 7.3L stroker motor. I believe the 7.3 was optional for those who didn't want to "test" the 6.0L. It was a bad year, hit and miss style for the 6.0's and torqueshifts. Muchos electrical difficulty. My brother in law has an '03 6.0L, and he loves it. I have driven it, wicked ride, even stock. He has had zero troubles out of it. for him. But for me, I'll take the 7.3, thank you!! And Evil, your truck looks the EXACT same as the one I am looking at. Charcoal grey, but "mine" has black on the bottom to round out the 2 tone.... it looks pimp. I'm getting it, just don't know if today or tomorrow is the day......
  16. You bet your sweet banshee ridin ass that it's a 7.3L!!! No 6.0!!! It's a Lariat, has everything I want except a sunroof. And a solid back window. BUT, good thing a close friend of mine owns a glass shop, and they are always looking for power rear sliders. So, I could even prolly make a little $$ and have him swap out a solid rear in there.... Gotta get the Freak billboard on it!! And I got the story from the wife, no more than 8" in this truck. Still has to plow, and work.... BUT, she didn't say a damn thing about propane!!!
  17. CDCoxwell, sounds like a couple things need to be checked out. (sorry I wasn't here earlier, I have been busy this weekend.... ANyways, the pipes being loaded up was an initial thought that came to mind, being that you said you have spark. Now, 110 is a little low, but not bad. You should run strong with a # like that. Should being the operative word there... Now, you may have a leaky crank seal, which would explain your high idle problem.... First thigs I would do here, is double scheck the spark. Next, pull the pipes off andsee if there is fuel in them. Drain them.... Next, pull the carbs, and clean the jets and the needle valves. You need to pull the bowl off and take the jets out of the carb in order to clean them. The pilots require a small flathead screwdriver to remove them. They are deep in a recessed area of the carb... After you have spark, a dry exhaust, compression, and clean carbs, give it a whirl... Hopefully you if it fires up. If not, we have ot go further. While you have the carbs off, check the reeds too......
  18. Well, the decision has come to an '03 Crew cab Ferd short box stroker. I have a line on one, and I will likely be getting it tomorrow, or Tuesday. Likely Tuesday, because Monday is my wife and I's 1st wedding anniversary. This year flew by,....... And I am not sure if the wife would be willing to let me go get a new toy on our anniversary..... We'll see though..... I have looked alot. I REALLY REALLY want a Dodge, because of the engine. BUT, the cab of the Ford is what I want. And, Navistar makes a great engine. Everythign has it's inherent problems, but we'l see how it goes.........
  19. Well, as it turns out, I an not banned from my home IP, but I am still banned from workl.... Don't know why, never got an email explaining. Nothing. Oh well. Do you think the world is a better place??? Probably not. I am sure it will go in one ear and out the other...... These things often fall on deaf ears. I will still visit bluetraxx. Banshee forum only. Because I can't stop helping people out because of the actions of a few. It is kind of good that at least some people saw the light....
  20. I'm lookin at around 33K.......
  21. Your very welcome. Post up a review of your findings when you get it on, and how much you like it on the bike. I know you will!!! never had someone not like it.... it makes you grin when you ride.
  22. No HP gains. But the gain is well worth it. Ask ANYONE who has their flywheel lightened. They will tell you. You want it!!!!!
  23. It doesn't have to move much, it is a fine adjustment. As long as it's close to equal, it should work.
  24. I still can't get in there to check what they replied. I a mcurrently banned from my work IP. When I get home, if I haven't been banned without warning from that IP, I will peeps it out. Oh well. I also have another tidbit to say now that I know I ave been banned. Last night, it was about others that were banned. Now, it's me that has been banned....
  25. Take the grease off the slides. My throttle used to stick. BUT, at coalfest, in the rain, all day long on Saturday, it didn't stick once. I don;'t know what the hell happened.....
