Alright, a tapered bearing, is just like a wheel bearing on your car. Well, like bearings used to be anyways. Not those chincy sealed bearing unit assembly's that are found these days on most new shit, I'm talkin about old school bearings, where you can pry the clip up, remove the nut, pull the spindle off, pull the tapered bearings out, and grease them. Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat reader, or a way to view PDF's, and CLICKY CLICKY It will show you all the different bearing types....

That thread restorer will not work on the frame. Only on external threads. LIke if the threaded nut was fubar'd, then you could use that, but why not just buy a new nut? Cheaper, and less painful. In the frame, I would try to find a bottoming tap, www.mscdirect.com or somewhere else. But the tap alone will prolly be more expensive than finding a used frame.... .

Yup, a longer stem, or some spacers. I made a custom stem for my bike, and I also heated the tank with a heat gun, (after the boiling water trick) and "relieved" the areas where the tank was close to hitting. If I had to do it again, I would go with the Clarke, to be perfectly, blatantly honest. I like the looks of it better......

Since this topic got WAYYYYY off base, (from riding areas to the war) I think it is a little comical. People basing opinions on something they don't think much of. The war, ONLY starting pointing to "OIL" because Bush got his $$ from oil. That's the only reason. When we started this war, we didn't set out to "go chase oil". We were avenging supporters of those who bombed the shit out of Downtown NYC. Not going for their oil. They support, and harbor terrorism, and terrorists, and they need to be dealt with accordingly. I don't think you would think very highly if you came home one night and some terrorist had your wife bound and gagged after he just raped her for 4 hours. You would be a little pissed. BUT, just because something didn't happen to you personally, you could care less and give a f*ck. Well, I had relatives that were jumping out of those towers, and some that died there. I didn't see the Bush girls, (presidents daughters) out there killing people aimlessly, like Hussein's kids do/did on a regular basis. And the hate for this country over there is amazing. I have gone the Dura Blue route. Piss on them. Lonestar Xcalibur is what I have through the carrier on my bike right now. And while it is rusty now, (from neglect...) I still love the fact that I cannot break/bend it.... I would recommend none other than a LSR.
