  1. I run an IMS 5 something gallon tank. I boiled some hot water, and dumped it into the tank to expand it with some compressed air, and let it cool. I get a touch over 6 gallons in it. I LOVE it, and would not switch back anytime soon. I can ride forever on a tank full. And when racing, just don't put as much in. Or, unless your XC racing......
  2. Check THIS out..............................
  3. I got ahold of Alloy Specialties. DOn't know if they;'re still around, but I got my round tbe from him, and bought a carrier off ebay. The only difference between carriers, (when they are for a banshee, honda, or whatever )is what AXLE they will fit. Not what machine they will fit. The carriers are all pretty much the same, it's the axles that differ. Diameter, and bearing placement.....
  4. Welding the crank WILL NOT throw it out of balance, unless you use filler material. WHich there should not be any filler material used. Welding the crank is necessary for longevity. I have seen cranks seperate. It is a fact, that it DOES happen. Not somehting that may happen. My crank is welded, and it hasn't seperated...... Think of this, would you drive your car if your wheels were "pressed" onto the hubs? Or would you want lug nuts holding the tire/wheel in place? Same thing with a crank. Merely using a press fit to hold the crank trued, and in proper spec, just isn't enough. The welding on the crank pins, holds the crank in tolerance......
  5. There is an inherent chance of the throttle sticking. That is the reason Yamaha band-aided the problem with the TORS nonsense. If you ride in wet, muddy conditions, be prepared for a possible stick..... It's just something we all have to deal with. I run stock carbs, and my throttle used ot stick, and now it doesn't. Go figure...
  6. I was joking brutha.
  7. Rust in Ky???? SOUnds like some serious business..... Oh, and on the wife thing, Look no further than O.J. Simpson........
  8. You NEED to have another means of killing the engine. Other than the key. I suggest something off an MX bike. I have no idea about the switch you desire for the lights. I run a radio shack toggle switch. Works fine..
  9. I have a -2, and it works good. In the dirt. In the sand, forget it....
  10. There is a small black box, adjacent to the coil. There is a 3-wire connector on it. Unplug this. This will completely disable the TORS system...
  11. I tried NGK caps, and they were alright, and I used performance unlimited as well. If your slealer breaks out the parts unlimited, turn around, and get the hell out. I currently run NGK caps, and a stock coil. The stock coil is fairly cheap at the stealer. Geting wires out of the stock coil is a bear, and you won't see any performance gains...... Just get a new stock coil, (the wires come pre-attached), grab some plug caps, (and be damned sure they USE the little threeaded caps that come with the plugs.) if they don't use the little threaded caps that come on the spark plugs, they will work loose, and wear out, and cause you major headaches... (Parts unlimited caps are like this) Also, be sure that you get "loaded" caps. They have a resistor built in to minimize interference.....
  12. I try to check in every night. I can't really get on at work anymore, too much shit to do there. And when I get on at night, I don't have much time, so I can't answer every repeat question anymore..... I try to stick my "nose" in where it may be needed, and get in on a few posts. I am not as present as I was before though. Busy as all get out. But that's the way life goes!!! I plan on riding this weekend, because I missed last weekend. Oh well. I'm trying to be on a little more. Hopefully things pan out a little this winter..... Things may slow down a little, although, skiing takes up a little time.....
  13. With a title like that, and your "reputation" around here, I was thinking of something completely different. Anyways, glad to see a guy is still ridin/ That's what really counts......
  14. I don't feel like copying and pasting. Also, look on www.bluetraxx.com They have some nonsense like this...... I am running FMF fatty's, Stock airbox, no lid, with a UNI foam filter, 800' above sea level, 27.5 pilots, 310 or 320 mains. I am jetted for about 70-80F. Any colder, and I throw the lid on. Or, re-jet....
  15. you pansys. 146.7 MPH. Been that way for a while!!!
  16. The next motor mods will work splendidly. All very cheap, as BD mentioned. As for the tires you mentioned, I ran 18" rears for a bit. Untill I wised up and got a set of 20" Holeshots. What a difference. I wasn't skipping over anything anymore. I don't even run a skid plate anymore..... I HIGHLY recommend that you shorten that swingarm up a bit. I am running a -2.5" Untill you actually run one, or ride a bike that has one, you can't fully realize the potential of this mod. I did it,. and I can't believe what the hell I was waiting for. The bike is EXTREMELY easier to ride. I couldn't believe the difference in spinning with the stock arm, and actually putting it to the ground with the shorter one..... It truly is a night and day difference.......
  17. Your very welcome!! And I am glad to hear that your happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew you would have yourself one sweetly rippin' machine!!! Now, next on the list is a port job from Jim. (Passion Racing) You will be once again!!!

I can't think of anything else.... (although I have "had a few already...."
  19. I keep a 6 cell in the truck at all times. I hate that P.O.S. Fucknin thing never works. You turn the head a fraction of a degree, and it dies. hit it, bang it a couple times, and all is well. It works again. I Have never used it to thrash someone. I have threatened alot though. I would like a smaller one. This one is a little cumbersome.... Although,. I have used it ALOT. It is pretty beat up, but not broke.....
  20. Sredish, looks like a nice machine. For XC, you will love the 450. Prolly be faster, and punish yourself a little less. To be seriously competitive in XC, you need a new chassis for the shee. I know, I've been there. It's like riding a bulldozer. It can be done, but there are better ways to do it. While it would be sad to see the shee go, I myself wouldn't bitch at ya for wanting to race a better machine, more suited to the environment. I, myself, will not have a 450 untill I can afford to have it, and keep my shee as well.....
  21. Ummm, you should never need anything from Trinity. Well, maybe some carb boots.
  22. Them people are sick, ain't it Abyss? Man, I love watchin them folks work. On the base bolts, I ALWAYS have torqued them by "feel". With a 12mm wrench. I have never used a torque wrench on base nuts. And if you use a crow's foot, (the tool that goes on a ratchet or extension that looks like an open end wrench, you must change your torque setting, because it will not be correct. And someone asked if you can use an extension with a torque wrench, and the answer is yes. As long as you are not deviating from the centerline of the ratchet head of the wrench itself. (as a crow's foot does)....
  23. Holy shizzle. I have been using my heated seats for about the last week and a half. I go out, fire up the truck, throw the chip (TS performance 6 stage flip) into high idle, click the heated seat(s), and go back in the house. It's been pretty cold here at night. (35 degrees). And that leather is damn cold. At any rate, you got yourself one pimp ass ride. And throw an exhaust on that biotch, and you will be singin' a sweet ass tune. Them 6.0's with an exhaust just SCREAM with turbo whistle with a variable vane turbo. sweet!!! Screw the 18's. Go with a leveling kit, and a set of 35's...... Look pimp ass. I'll have to get a pick of my buddies 7.3 excursion on 40's. It's sickly large. Looks pimp. You will be no-doubt happy. And when you need a little get-go, talk to Sredish!!!! He will hook you up. I FULLY recommend a set of guages. Establish a baseline before you do anything else. And trust me, once you hop into a modded diesel, you will be just thinking about what your rig can do. My rig can outrun pretty much anything I come up against, with only mild mods. Once I get propane, a tranny, and a turbo, there is no chance..... I'm stoked. That X is sweet!@!!!!! EDIT: I had to edit all my typo's, Man, I was a little "toasty" last night......
  24. Depends on where you go. I Pm'ed you some pricing info.
  25. Reason being, I don't, and have never posted any price pertaining to my work. Not on the forums. I will not advertize here. Unless of course I paid Lee (site admin.) to do so. But, if someone asks, I am much abliged to help them out. I will beat any price, although I have never had to do so. I am already dirt cheap.
