  8. Good one, but bolts on backing plate was my temporary problem and I blame that on camatv and bansheehp
  9. Some of you sure having a good time with this. Are we to think John can't tune with all the access he has to dyno's???? What one member says about a reputable builder would not sway me from using them. Hell, I would take a motor from Redline or Shearer with equal enthusiasm!!!! I have talk to John several times thru phone, text, PM and he has always had time and been helpful. At LS this year my bike went down on Friday and John offered me one of his for the rest of weekend. We did some dune rides and racing. John is a stand up guy in person. Can he talk shit? YES!!!! As for the two guys that say "Ban Windy" One is 24 and thinks he knows more and the other don't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Jmo of this mess, good luck John

  13. just asking, do you know where the choke tube goes? Is it in good shape? cause it sure sounds like your problem if all you did was remove carb
  14. In a not so direct way, the guys are telling you that changing oil/gas ratio is not how you want too make it rich, but rather with larger jets. a/f screw. Build is looking good
  15. I've heard of tired stators getting weaker with heat, but I don't think that's it. Since you have one, you could try though. Clean carbs by taking apart and removing all jets, needles,ect. use carb cleaner and compressed air. If you have stock carbs, don't interchange bowls. If problem continues, might need to start testing electrical system with multimeter. simple things to try are clip a 1/4 inch of plug wire off so your plug boot can make contact with some clean wire, of course new plugs also. keep us posted on what you find. welcome to BHQ
