A nice set of ported cylinders by a pro will give you some significant hp gains. This is prolly the most gain for your buck. But if you want more yeah 4mil,coolhead,domes and port.

You have to have domes cut for the pistons you are going to run(795) right?

I believe you, but I dont understand since the top of the pistons are going to be at +2mil at TDC and +2 at BDC when using 795's for 115mm rod and I guess standard for 110mm rod

Can someone tell me if the port timing for a +4mil long rod crank and a +4 mil short rod crank is the same. I think I know, but I would like to hear the experts. Thanks

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want too. Just trying to get a handle on the difference in the pistons. I have 573's so I'll have to get some 795's or have domes cut for 573's

Can somebody tell me what happens to your squish band if you run a 573 series piston in stock cylinders with +4 mil crank and domes cut for 795 series piston.

Its a good idea to do a leak down test after a rebuild.

I got some billet intakes without spigots and when I mate them with my reed cages it looks really wrong. Will this work efficiently? Do I need to get different reed cages? different intakes

I wish I had been that lucky. Can you tell me if the half round circlips at crank and tranny assembly only go in lower case. In the service manual I don't see clips at top half of case. Thanks

I've owned a 04 banshee for about a year and a half and love it. It is currently a 65mm with stock carbs,boost bottle, pods, rad valve, T6 toomeys, cool head, 20cc domes and ported. I'm upgrading my carbs to 34 mm mikuni's. I know this is close to a topic just started, but as a first timer on the forum I didn't want to hi-jack a thread. So my question is, what do you guys recommend for intakes? External cross over, internal cross over, no cross over
