Price to start with, and pull it out of the weeds and take a couple of better shots of it? It looks like the seat is missing as well? -
No offence dude, but if you joined today and listed today you are not going to get any nibbles I suspect! There are way too many bad deals happening on here over the past few months for anyone to trust a new guy, even if your the town preacher! The guys will look for your feedback, when they see none, they will skip it and go on to the next guy! Just for your info anyway, try craigslist!
-
All of you guys and gals need to go to the feedback forum and take a look before you buy, Ray, you need to do the same, so you know whats coming your way! Ive given my 2 cents worth, for what its worth. There was never any type of reimbursement for the shit you sent to me, maybe it was cause it costs so much to ship a 2 dollar box of rusty shit? "Easy there killa. If you have an issue with the man, maybe you should PM him and work it out that way before blasting him. You've never dealed with him so you wouldn't know what his business practices are. I've purchased items from his ebay listings and those were all accurate listings and shipping was exceptional. In fact, he frequently reminds buyers that these parts are not new. If the guys who were screwed by this man were to step up and plead their case then go ahead, but come on man, you're flaming a seller because of what you read on another topic." You need to know that there are a lot of guys on here who spend thousands of dollars on their machines. When we come forward and expect whats described, were not pulling descriptions and guarantees out of our asses, were expecting to be shipped what we saw on the site, end of fucking story!

I know Ive been on here since January, asking all sorts of questions, and learning a tonne about my machine, but til yesterday, still hadnt been able to ride it, due to an endless list of problems that kept coming up. Late last week, I finally gave up trying to figure it out for myself, and I sent it in to a local guy who figured it all out for me, and installed all of the parts that I had bought, and hadnt had time to install yet. Yesterday I got it back, and went for a little ride down my street, as I am trying to break it in nicely. After 3-4 heat ups and cool downs, I figured it was good to go, and I gave her shit. HOLY SHIT was right! I only had a shee for 2-3 years when I was a teenager, and I kinda forgot what it was like, but I do remember it being a shitpile of fun, so I couldnt wait to get another, hence my Valentines day purchase. This thing scared the crap out of me, and when I did stop for a drink, I was shaking with excitement like Id just been in a foot chase with the police. Thanks to all the guys who have helped me with advice and sold me good quality parts, this whole experience has made me feel like a kid again!

So I dont need to swear to get my point across, but I get all of your frustration. I bought a set of bolts ( I was told it was a new set of replacement bolts) for my shee. I told him I was replacing all of the bolts on my bike because the previous owner had put all sorts of crap on the bike, and nothing matched. Firstly, he shipped me other parts that I had ordered, and the bolt set was missing. Then I confronted him, and he admitted he had forgotten them, and shipped them to me. When I opened the box, it was a rusty pile of crap, and I mean crap. Most of them were stripped and rusty and unuseable. Also, he charged me $21.45 for shipping, hes only across the border in Michigan? He also sent me a set of intake boots, as I told him I had discovered tears in my stock ones. The ones that came were ripped worse than the ones I was removing. The negative feedback on Ebay doesnt do a thing when you have a million comments, so Im posting here instead, as this is the place where its gonna matter most to him. Lately I asked him about another small part, as I thought that now he is a site sponsor, then things must have changed, but clearly they havent. He wanted $20 shipping, to ship a $5 part across the border (Im talking about the clip needed to hold the clutch pin onto the cases) Why do the site officials allow a guy that is clearly selling crap to its members, and ripping them off, to be a sponsor? Someone with a few more than 260 posts needs to address this disease, before there are repercussions! This is not Goonie spouting his mouth, this is a scammer, screwing the members. And Minkia ( Ray), if you have all sorts of good clients that are satisfied, then where are they all in your defense?

Boost Bottle or stock balance pipe ?
midlifecrisis replied to dirtbike drew's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Sure glad I didnt ask a "stupid question", give the guy a break, hes new here. Welcome bro! If youve been looking for a while, then you know how helpful this place can be, use it wisely, and yeah, Ill give you a helpful tip about a boost bottle, stick it under your bottom end when its time to rebuild, thats all theyre good for, and theyll hold your engine block at the exact angle you need!! -
Really fd up. Is it still useable
midlifecrisis replied to toddyfresh's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Im no expert either, but in the past 6 months Ive seen my share of cylinders. I checked my 2 other sets here and Im with Firebanshee, in that the piston travels that far, but not the rings. They should be fine! Worse case scenario, couldnt he just resleeve? Certainly it would be more cost effective than a second set of cylinders! -
Dude, I have run into thwe exact same issue as you did after the topend rebuild. Only I didnt drop anything. I am fed up with trying to figure it out, so I have taken it into a local shop to figure it out for me. I will post the answer to you when they come up with a solution.

Got my timing plate today, and it was better than I expected, thanks for the stellar deal!
-
So sad to see that sort of thing happen to anyone, thanks for the post Savage, kinda grounds things a little! RIP Catherine.

No TORS, that was removed well before I owned it. And yes the kill switch is turned on, but thanks for checking that for me! By the way, the wires I spilced into on what used to be the key switch, were red and black, and not brown and black Like I stated before!
-
The Bronx aint that far from me bud, jump the pond and come see me! How bout some productive comments though?
-
OK, so I cut the wires from the key (a black and a brown) connected one of the wires from the tether to one and the other to the other. When I tried it, no spark? So I reversed them, and still no spark? So I fastened the wires from the key (black and brown) together and still no spark? From what I under stood from some of the other posts, this was cool to do, but it didnt help? One of the other members said that I needed a jumper and that was the key to this, so what do I do here?

stock intake boots ? wil they fit 30mm pwks ?

Check your pm's -
OK, I just put the bike back together after a rebuild, and now I have no spark. The only thing that I have done any different is to install this tether. Could the wires be installed backwards or what? I tried them the other way around and still no spark?

Thanks Tim, At this point nothing is elementary. The ball does not move at all when the clutch is pulled in. The only thing that I noticed when the cases were reassembled, was that the clutch rod which goes thru the cases, could be pulled completely out when I removed the bracket intended to hold it in. This did not get removed the last time the cases were disassembled, so Im a little lost. Its also super easy to pull in the clutch, hence (probably) cause its not moving the clutch plates? I am at the cottage this weekend, as it is July 1st long weekend, like for your July 4th, but I will go thru the other symptoms when I get home tomorrow, thanks for your input.
-
i will check it out, but the rod thru the center of the clutch where the bearing is, does not move when I pull the clutch in?
-
The ball bearing is in there, like it should be, but surprising that the clutch rod will just pull right out of the bottom end though once I take the bracket off it that fastens it to the upper case? That cant be normal, is it? If that rod isnt engaged correctly onto the clutch assembly, do I have to spilt the cases again to get it right or?
-
Im checking right now, thanks a tonne
-
will that give those kind of symptoms?
-
Morning guys. I have an issue with my clutch, when I pull in the lever, it doesnt engage the clutch. Any ideas? The engine just went back in after a rebuild, and the clutch seems really easy to pull in! like the post which attaches the cable to the clutch itself has an issue or something?
