midlifecrisis replied to GSXKID's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I am definitely interested in some of the parts listed as well as some others that are visible from the pics. Could you send me some shots of the bike a little closer to [email protected]. For now the complete axle, polished clutch cover, and the bars. -
those reeds would fit a stock carb setup right? I already have a billet intake with no crossover, theyre alright to use with this setup, correct? Please send a few pics and paypal info to me at [email protected], my paypal is ready Thanks, Matt

Yeah, Ive got a spare set of cylinders, presently at 65mm, interested in a trade? I think that the cylinders are worth a bit more than that crank though?even if they do need a hone. Let me know your thoughts -

Stock blaster crank (new)
midlifecrisis replied to James-26's topic in For Sale - Non Banshee Related
Interested in the crank! Is it still there? Does it run true? Any issues with the bearings at all, anything I should know about? Its got a home if these all answer correctly? I would definitely take the bearings that you have. $65 is good, but I live in Canada, at L1N1B2 Ontario, can you get me a shipping quote? Why the 4%? Do you take paypal, or what do you need for your shee? I have a bunch of stock stuff. Lets talk! Thanks, Matt. -
Found this on kijiji, looks like a sweet product, and a great idea. Hopefully this link works, I dont want Zilla yelling at me! LOL! http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-ATVs-snowmobiles-snowmobiles-Snowmobile-Pipe-Coatings-W0QQAdIdZ177966938#

midlifecrisis replied to torotwister's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Nice setup, those'll sell for sure. Dont take any notice of Zilla, just be thankful Building My First didnt reply.LOL! -
$1500 is too low for a machine in that fine a condition. Hell I paid that for a seized machine. Youre looking at getting $4000 easily in a market like it is here in toronto.

OK,so the key is an open loop system, and the toggle switch I was trying to have take the place of the key is closed loop. So non compatible. So I joined the key wires together, and wired in the toggle switch into the kill switch, now although the kill switch doesnt work anymore , the toggle switch is easier to take with me if it needs to. LOL.

I have finally acquired a set of plastics that I have been looking for, and need a few ideas of how to shape the fenders. Right now they are full fenders, and I am going to cut them down for a more trim look. I need some ideas of shape from you guys, so that I can make a choice? Any pics of your cut fenders would be great

STOLEN BANSHEE EAST CENTRAL OHIO
midlifecrisis replied to Idontknowwhy's topic in General Banshee Discussion
To put a positive spin on things, the young fella who works for me, had his worked LTR 450 stolen at 9am friday morning, and the cops had located it within 48 hours and brought it back to him, all on an anonymous tip of where to go. They brought their own quads to a local pit on the weekend, and there the kid was riding it around hotwired. Burnt! He was charged with theft over $5000, trespassing, B&E, and possession of stolen property, oh and they caught him on private property, so they added that to the list. Karmas a bitch. -
Does anyone know if there is another spot to find the VIN number on the machine other than the sticker on the front left under your leg?

What size are the cylinders honed to?

Ive said it before, and Ill say it again, Alf is the man! Got my billet intake today and my other parts I ordered. Always quick, and an all around good guy, Thanks again Alf!

This was put on the neutral forum cause I thought the dude was a standup guy for offering a $2 part to me for free, I should have known better. "Sent me some parts free, not huge stuff, but parts that were hard to find, really appreciated it!" Thanks Shawn! The previous listing should have read " is sending me parts for free", even then, after he offered, I never got the part. I didnt buy the vent cause he said it was coming, and when I approached him on the shoutbox, he never responded and signed off? Fuck dude, if you had just said I couldnt find it, I would have known to go somewhere else! Something so f'......n simple could have redeemed you!

new to banshees please help me out
midlifecrisis replied to banshee#14's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
First of all welcome to the site, second of all sellling the craptor was the best choice youll ever make. No this is not normal. If the tors was removed from your bike (those are the boxy looking items above your carbs) which most used bikes are removed, then the carbs should have had a tors eliminator kit installed, which would include an idle screw on the body of each carburetor. If it wasnt installed then it needs one in order to help the idle settle down. Also look into the adjustment on the thumb throttle, to make sure its correct. If you want to get adventurous and feel confident enough ( you might as well get used to it) take the carbs off the bike and disassemble them, and give them a rthorough cleaning, this too could help remove any foreign matter that could be keeping your needle from seating correctly in the carb chamber. Although every bike is different, this is a good place to start. Also, if the bike didnt come with the Clymer or Haynes manual, do yourself a favour and buy one it will become your best friend and answer a tonne of questions. -
brand new Banshee, (LITERALLY)
midlifecrisis replied to bigtizzles's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
OK, so everything he said! I run Pro Circuit Platinums on my bike, its an 01, and it sounds like nothing else I have ever owned, just not sure about whether they are OK on govt trails due to spark arrestor specs?. I agree 100% that the first and one of the easiest mods is a timing plate at +4, but I didnt see anyone recomend theClymer or Haynes manual. I dont care what anyone says, the single most important investment you will make is your manual. I am not anoverly mechanical person, but I have built this bike from scratch because of these guys here on this site, and my manual. Hell you can hardly see some of the pages anymore. I had a good buddy try my shee up north at a track were building. This is the first weekend that I have ever ridden it, as I have been building it for months. He came back to where we were all standing and he was shaking. He said that it was the absolute craziest thing that he had ever ridden, and he never got out of 3rd. Youve made a great decision buying a banshee, welcome to the site man!
