  1. Got one, for get it!
  2. I bought a set of burgard a arms lately due to a deal I couldnt pass on, They came with a broken ball joint. I have removed the ball joint, so I know its the 14mm x 10mm size. First of all, does anyone have a pair of ball joints that they would want to sell to me? Secondly, has anyone else had such a hard time getting a hold of the burgard supplier? Thirdly, given the sizes, can I use another manufacturers ball joint for my application? I have to ream the spindles for these to fit. Thanks, Matt
  3. I think what theyre talking about is on the bottom surface of the intake side inside the cylinders. It was epoxy filled on mine as well to help to smooth the transition of fuel into the cylinders. I have also heard that this can cause the air fuel mixture to create droplets of fuel on the smooth surface, and screw up the mixture. Normally, with the surface being a bit rough, will cause the mixture to swirl around and keep the mixture correct. All I know, is that Im really happy with my cylinders, they haul ass!
  4. Easy way to gain width, but the sacrifice on travel is wayyyy too much. Ive just bought a used set of quality +2+1 a arms in the for sale forum for $300, thats a much safer bet, even with stock length shocks.
  5. I have discovered a bad diaphragm in my front brake reservoir, so Im looking for a replacement, anyone got one?
  6. OK, So obviously Im mechanically inclined enough to bleed my brakes, but I have no idea about the internals and valving that makes a hydraulic brake work (front). So my question is this, as I am bleeding the brakes, as I squeeze the lever, my fluid level isnt dropping, nor is there any fluid coming out of the bleeder tube. So I covered the hole in the resevoir with my finger, and there is no suction from the squeezing and releasing of the lever at all, is the diaphragm shot or something, does it warrant fixing it, or do I just replace the system?
  7. I had the same issue with my bike, turned out it was running really lean from some mods I had done without rejetting. If you havent done any mods, check to make sure you dont have any air leaks that would cause you to lean out. If you have the resources, build a leak down tester as shown in the pinned area of MODS, if you dont then spray some brake cleaner around the carbs etc (keep it away from the airbox).... when its running and see if that makes any difference. If it reacts to the brake cleaner then you have an air leak, and you need to address it before your bike blows up. Oh, and by the way, I dont think I would take sandpaper to the inside of my carb slides, JMO!
  8. I bought a billet intake for my stock carbs cause the intakes kept cracking from the vibration of the crossover tube. Its a pretty expensive little item but it eliminates the issue of leaning out from a broken or cracked intake you didnt notice, plus they will take up to a 30mm carb without having to upgrade the rubbers. Its made by modquad and I got it from the site sponsor, Alfies toybox
  9. I would do exactly what you have suggested and in that order as well. Two of my head studs were damaged when I got my bike, so I helicoiled the old holes and installed new studs for my Vitos 2 head. Hopefully this helps. Use the blue locktite just incase they need replacing again.
  10. DMCs right, mine came with 4Snows. Nobody knows snow better than us Canadians!
  11. A frickin squirrel got locked in my shed and chewed the vent tube off my Tusk billet gas cap. Left me the cap itself and the top of the tube just ate what he wanted. It was like National Lampoons christmas vacation with the squirrel in the tree as it shot out of my shed after 4 days. Needless to say, I need a vent tube or some advice on what I can substitute?
  12. You know what else helped me immensely was a new stainless clutch cable. I had a hell of a time with my stocker, it was just way too tight to be right, couple it with my ASVs, and its dreamy! Hit Alf up for those too, Im sure hed carry them.
  13. ME TOO???? Guess he doesnt want to sell?
  14. Deb, Youre going to have a hell of a time selling the bike as your first post, especially when their are no pics attached. Try using photobucket to download your photos, and then post a link to them on here. If you had a member in good standing that could vouch for you, that might help your cause as well. Its nothing personal with the members, but we all see our fair share of horror stories in here, and its better safe than sorry.
  15. I think this gut changed his mind about selling his parts, has anyone got a response from him?
  16. Also very interested in the steering stabilizer, I would do $200 US for the stabilizer and the stem shipped to L1N1B2 Canada, interested??
  17. First dibs on the stem. Id like to see a few pics of the stem. Also what about the riser shown in the photo, is that part of it, or is it seperate? Send photos to [email protected]. Im also looking for an axle +2, do you have one with the sprocket, brake disc and both hubs?
  18. Depending on how fast you need it, I am installing a billet kicker on mine this weekend, Ill have my stocker available, interested? Im in Ontario as well, so the shipping should be pretty quick.
  19. Got my parts and they look better than I expected them to, Must have added some spit and polish to the formula. Crazy fast shipping as well, Thanks Chris.
  20. Looking for an aftermarket +2 steeriing stem. Let me know.
  21. Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head there with "as long as nothings bent"! Anyone got a rear setup for sale? Ive been looking for an axle, now it looks like I need a carrieir as well
  22. OK, so I wasnt sure why, but my axle to me always looked a little cock eyed in the carrier. I asked my buddies to give me their opinion, and they said I was nuts. Welllll, I checked it when I was replacing my chain tensioners, and I was right, there are 2 fewer threads on the left than the right finger tight. Problem is, after I loosen everything off to move the axle back on the left, it wont seem to move, What is this about? Im sure its not common, am I missing something or is this thing just being ornary?
  23. X3, Everyone has their opinion on their bikes, but SAVAGE is right on, with those 3 upgrades. Each will increase the HP significantly, and for the money, great bang for the buck.
  24. Take him down brother! I deal with shit like that everyday as a contractor, people bouncing cheques with a product that been finished for months etc....... They think theyve won, dont let them get away with this.
  25. Went to your gallery, and it said that no images were found
