  1. We have this massive 1/2 mile down-hill race next weekend. I want to make sure I can stop at the bottom so Minkia hooked me up with a pair of slotted and drilled brake lines. Can't wait to try them at the hill.
  2. I bet I could hit 100hp with my 421 serval on your dyno.
  3. With a little patience you can usually find sweet deals in the for FOR SALE section. I picked up +2+1 arms, top quality shocks, YFZ brakes, and some other odds and ends for half the price of new. The suspension allows me to control the 421's power. I wouldn't want to ride a banshee with that motor on stock suspension components. While the suspension won't make you much faster in a drag race, it WILL make you faster than any bolt on motor mod on any hair scramble, MX riding, black diamond trails, ect.....
  4. I suppose so. These bikes are so expensive/difficult to make any real power. Better get a 4 stroke. First off, how do you know you've only made 5whp difference? Secondly, you haven't done any REAL performance mods. A skilled port job and the supporting mods (lose those T6 pipes) will make a hell of a difference on a budget. And there's always suspension upgrades.
  5. You're NOT making 48hp. Sorry. I would say toytech has it pretty close. An optimistic 40hp if you spent the extra effort fine tuning the ignition and carburetors.
  6. My solution? Just don't deal with Trinity. If you don't purchase parts/service from them you won't get screwed by Trinity.
  7. Sometimes guys will give you nonsense shit just to irritate you (for their entertainment). I really wouldn't worry about it. You both sound like your 13 years old.
  8. Don't do it. Used pipes are great investment for someone looking to go fast and doesn't mind imperfections... but throw up a wanted ad on BHQ and someone will offer a better deal than $325.
  9. You're like Jesus! You've stuck your balls out there to be busted so that others balls could be saved. Yep, you are the hayzoos of balls.
  10. Huh, better keep looking! If you have problems, just ask us a question.
  11. I would contribute the "difference" more toward switching T5 pipes out for shearers rather than the carburetors....
  12. You're not gonna steal it, are ya?
  13. I would stick with the lectrons. Sounds like a real good match to your motor.
  14. I've got a purple banshee with a dildo in place of the seat. Sure its embarassing to ride, but the only people who would consider stealing it are bull dykes.
  15. I test engine sealed up without stator and clutch cover. This allows me to listen for air escaping into the trans or through the crank seals, ect... General rule of thumb is it should hold 6psi of air for 6 minutes. To prove a point to some buddies about proper sealing, my motor held 6psi for 4 hours lol. There's no science behind it. Seal the motor up, pressurize it, and watch the gauge for any leakage. Pretty darn simple.
  16. If you are after a "perfect" pingle valve, why not hit up our sponsors for a brand new one? Then you get a fresh rubber gasket and internal seals.
  17. fmf sells a small package with 4 springs and 2 high temp o-rings. It costs around $10 online.
  18. I wonder if Chi Chi performance is still around? It was a smaller shop and I don't know how well they knew banshees. While I wouldn't go as far as saying it was a bad port job (because I'm sure it isn't) I think (this is only opinion) that today's new technology and experienced porters whos main market is banshees would be able to squeeze more usable power out of the same setup.
  19. Improper squish will break your engine (literally). Do you know what detonation is?
  20. I keep my house and garage locked when I am gone for that "just in case" factor. But around here it is extremely rare to have something stolen. I don't feel the need to invest in high dollar security measures though. On the few trips with the quads, I'll throw a chain around them at night because I don't trust assholes. I live in rural Wisconsin. If I lived in say Madison or Milwaukee I wouldn't think twice about museum quality security measures lol.
  21. Are you running resister plugs or resister caps?
  22. So you compared him to three local no name guys? I hope that someday you are able to ride a similar banshee (ported stock cyl and stock stroke?) from a REPUTABLE builder such as... FAST, HJR, NoLimitPowersports (formerly M&M), Wildcard, Redline, and passion racing. Ken may do good work, but I can promise you he doesn't have the knowledge or the skills (or experience) as these guys do. If Ken did indeed send his customers to Andy from Wildcard to sort out the troubleshooting issues then that speaks loud enough for me.
  23. Since you posted in the BHQ Gear section, I think your next mod should be a sponsor T shirt or a BHQ hat.
  24. How many shops have you had experience with?
  25. Well, if someone is determined to get your bike it will be almost impossible to "steal proof" it. An enclosed trailer with quality locks on the doors and hitch are my personal option. Also, I don't "show off" to everyone and brag about all the parts and money involved to everyone (as this draws attention to the guys who want to "part out" your bike lol). My advice is to rent a storage locker close and insure it. Have current pictures of it, and know the vin number. This will help if it ever does become stolen. When you own your own house it makes stuff like this worlds easier.
